I'm looking to pull out couch and dinette area too in my RV Sunseeker 3010DS to make it more like home too, a desk so I can work on the road, we are some time 2 adults, we never eat inside with friends so do not need that much kitchen table room..... glad to get some idea of the work to do, keep up the great work.
Nice job!! I just picked up my new, old travel trailer that I will live in, ( in an RV park March 2023) when I sell my condo. (May rent it out until then.) Last night July 2, 2022, was my first night in it with just an electrical hook-up at my ranch. I am trying to feel it out to see what things work and don't work. I too am wanting to take the useless uncomfortable couch out. Hopefully, I will find the bolts to disengage it from the floor. I like the wrap-a-round dinette in the bump-out but I need an office/sewing room/ arts and crafts center all rolled into one. I decided to cut thick plywood to fit in the space mounted on the top rail where back cushions are, or use wood storage cubes if too high, and on the seat bottoms for storage and get a nice comfy chair to put in space where the table is. Hopefully, the wrap-a-round dinette will make a great wrap-a-round desk with great storage in cubes and overhead cabinets. I am still looking for electrical outs which are void where I most need them. Didn't see one in the dinette area but will add one if needed for computer and sewing machine. I will make a floor plan on graph paper with measurement to play with to see what I can do to make is more livable for me and my needs as finish the last chapters of my'book" and start a new book about my next adventure.
You guys did an awesome job! We are considering putting on office space in the back of our rig and so glad we have this video to refer back to!! Such naturals you two at these renovations and making videos! Much love - Renee and Kyle
Pretty slick.... Nice job.... I want to add a desk and originally thought of removing the couch and putting it there as the dinette is the eating area and seats 4.... But its so wobbly and uncomfortable I think it may go bye bye. I really like your couch choice. I have not sat on many that I can really just relax on and reposition myself when I start to cramp up... That one with the ottoman looks like it would do the trick. Definitely some food for thought here. Nice job
Thank you! We've had the setup for about a month now. It's working out well so far. The desk is perfect and the couch was worth swapping the theater seats out for. Thanks for checking us out! 😁
Very nice and innovative. My wife and I are getting ready to remove our dinette leaving the factory table and theater seats. Removing the dinette looks similar to t what we did to our last trailer. Will tackle the electrical when we get there. Any suggestions would be helpful. Great video BTW. Enjoy your journey.
Thank you! We've been really happy with the desk and couch so far. As far as electrical....we're not anywhere near experts to give advice! But we made sure to ALWAYS have it turned off before touching anything. We also asked our friends and family who had electrical experience. Thank you again, best of luck!
Thanks for the tip on the lights for the Grand Design trailer! I also noticed that you replaced the lights over the bed on your trailer - could you provide a source for those?
Thank you! The slide was definitely a huge concern for us, Steph called Grand Design directly to follow up on it too. We get at least an annual inspection because we really do love this rolling house of ours 😊 thank you so much for following along, we truly appreciate it!
Love it! You guys did great! So cool that the desk can slide over to accommodate more people. I think that ikea has some stackable chairs/stools that might help save room when they’re not being stored. Also, love the party lights, we have those on our desks too 😆😜
That looks great and so functional. Subbed and liked. I had my cargon van converted, but still need to do the decor. So, I enjoyed.seeing what you all did. I invite you to check out ky van life cooking channel and van tour. BTW what kind of inspections do you have done and were you able to get a polyurethane that had low VOC? Take care.
Thank you for taking the time to check it out! I'm honestly not sure about low VOC, the poly was floor poly left over from refinishing hardwood floors. It turned out great! Thanks again and I'll have to check out your channel 😀
Love the table!!! Great job!
Thanks so much!

Oh how neat! That sounds like it will work a lot better for you. Safe travels!
BTW I watched both videos all the way through. Thanks again
Thank you! Let us know how the dinette removal goes!

That means a lot guys! We had talked about it for so long and don't regret it at all so far 😁 thank you so much for following along!!
I think I'm going to copy this for mine
Sounds good!!
Awesome job. We made one for our Airstream. We love ours too. Best decision we ever made. Hope you will enjoy yours as much as we have.
Awesome! Thank you. We've enjoyed making it our own space 😁
Nice job! I like the desk...especially if you need some sort work space.
Thanks so much! That's what led us to remove it - we needed the workspace more than the dinette 😊
Wow!! You guys did a great job!! Love it!!!
Thank you guys so much! 🥰
I'd like to see your choice on chairs
Looks even better in person! Hope it really works well for you both.
Thank you 😊 it did well on its first roadtrip and we're really liking it so far!

@@lifererouted Can you share the name or listing of the couch/ottoman you got on amazon? I like that exact model
Yes! amzn.to/2FpROaB
The link is in the video description if that doesn't work 😁
@@lifererouted There is no video description at all? No links no nothing....

You bet! www.amazon.com/dp/B00ODSAU6Y?ref=exp_lifererouted_dp_vv_d Thanks, Drew!
Nice work very functional but I would definitely keep and eye on how much your slide is sagging presently so it doesn’t get any worse

Hey guys, can you please link up or share where you purchased the wall outlet/usb port boxes? Thanks!
Hey, Stephanie! We actually reused the boxes that were already installed.
Brilliant design. So do you guys use the desk for meal time or eat somewhere else?
We try to use the desk if we are having a more formal dinner, but we honestly eat in the recliners a lot 😂

Thank you! Haha I thought the dance party helped break up the talking 😆 🕺
Oh and thanks for the IKEA idea. I'll have to look at that!
lifererouted lol! 🤣 definitely helped! Also we’ve spent way too much time in ikea, so it’s kinda sad I know a lot of the stuff they have 😂🤷🏻♀️
I definitely agree. We'll have to tell you a funny story about us in IKEA next time we meet up 😆
Did watch entire thong. Why not? It's awesome.
Thank you so much!!
