I came really close to buying an 88 Beretta GT several years ago. I've always liked that car. After moving out to california, I stopped seeing them except on rare occasions. It's one of several cars that I noticed weren't nearly as popular out here as they were in the midwest.
I own a 1993 Chevy Beretta GTZ 3.1 Liter. The only one I have even seen on you tube is mine lmao!. They are extremely reliable vehicles and aren't terrible on gas. Mine currently has some problems, but before that it was getting almost 30 mpg in city. That's even when I show boat and race when people pull up beside me and rev their engine :P
I loved my 91 Beretta GT, for $400 when I traded it in with 250,000 miles on it in 2001. Had an awesome sounding factory exhaust and the coolest cup holder ever. Keep plenty of water pumps and alternators on hand, they don't last long. Mine was aqua green, no spoiler. I'd gladly pay $400 to get that back.
@xScoobyDoo82x ...engine light was on... its shooting code 42 which means either the ECM, ICM, Crank, or Knock sensor are bad or have a bad connection, so thats why it runs rough. But pretty much any of that will be cheap, even a computer is only $30 from the junkyard so I'm not worried. All the fluids are clean too so I can rule out any gasket failure.
@1997FordProbeGT Yeah well I just was hurting for a project. I was supposed to buy this 93 Cavalier 2.2 w/ a blown HG but it sold before I called, then I found this. It needs a lot of work but most of it is small stuff. As for the body, its really only that one spot that has bad rust. That hole by the tire is pretty big but that is the only hole. All the other rust is surface. Even the rocker panels are good enough to where I can jack it up using the pinch welds. I checked why the check...

@j45007 nah I got rid of this. It wasnt quite what I wanted. I still have my Cav and just bought a 1988 Pontiac Grand Prix the other day. I'll have a video of that in a few days.
@FPGT24 I sold it... but then after the 2nd owner from me THEY junked it, but that wasnt me, they may be rare around you but they pop up pretty regularly around here on craigslist and I see them on the road occasionally.

now i am looking for a cheap 82 to 92 iroc some thing that has rust but not to to bad lol at the time i was looking for some thing cheap and fast lol then i saw that car i when to see it i mean the paint was bad but what got me not to buy it was when i try to turn the key the car sound like it was having a hard time starting so i siad ahh no i dont want this shit

@hylander89 I like the Cav because its in EXCELLENT mechanical condition, but I like the Beretta because it has more bells and whilstles.

@FPGT24 I didn't junk it, and this isnt rare. The GTs and base models are probably the most common Beretta you can find.
