Thank you for introducing me to a knife brand I have not yet heard about. The Douk Douk knives you showcased certainly show a lot of character. I also like how you compare knife care in the USA and France, I like the French method better, as it involves eating delicious food.
Hi from America. I use 3 in 1 Oil. I don’t know if its sold where you live, but its just a simple machine oil. I’ve never tried gun oil but the 3 in 1 seems to work pretty well preventing rust
Yes, we do have that oil too. Is it food safe though? A quick search says it's non-toxic so if the taste isn't an issue then that's a good option. Definitely good for the joints / pivots👍
I have a bunch of knives, some fancy, some cheap and everything in between but the Douk Douk is my sharpest.
Hello from Ukraine. Great video! I have four Douk-Douk knives and they are super.
Sorry, I forgot that there is also a Vendetta knife, it is also a Dou-Douk.
Aha, I don't know those knives! I had a quick search and they seem to be from the French island of Corsica - they definitely look cool 🙂
Just got mine from Amazon on Sunday.
Takes a razor sharp edge easily.

Do you have some information? Still release knives with other logos? I have El-Baraca, Douk-Douk classic, Tiki and Ecureuil.
Here's everything I know - www.douk-douk.com/Douk-Douk/douk-douk.htm
Blade smells of pork? Yum
