How to create a foundation outline in Unicontrol3D

💡Part 3 of our series about #Unicontrol3D Surfaces feature 👉 Foundation outline
➡️ You will see in the video that to create the surface, the operator has to select the foundation outline; in this case, the six corners of the foundation that you can see on the screen. When we enter the value for the height, the area inside the selected points becomes shaded. The system has created an XML surface. That's one option available to the operator.
➡️ If working from an existing XML/3D surface drawing, the foundation surface can be used simultaneously as the existing surface, which would show the step down in level from Formation to the Dig Level (D/L)of footing.
The foundation outline is by far the most time-consuming surface to create in the system, but it still only takes 4 minutes to create. The drawing is then saved in the Unicontrol Cloud for engineers to extract later if needed.
