hats off to Ichiro understanding his influence on Japanese players succeeding in the MLB. Class act. go cubs go
It's an honor for Japanese players to be able to talk with Ichiro without sunglasses. The signal that he's opening his heart to you.
In honor of ichiro, GO Ms!!!
Ichiro has always been a class act.
4:00Double Suzuki(Right fielder)🇯🇵
Nice pitching by Imanaga.
Nice home run Seiya.
THATS WHY THEY WORLD CHAMPION
モレル、ライターJr.
今永の自責0記録を守ってくれてありがとー😭
Ichiro's still out there coaching the Mariners from retirement! 🤣
Go Cubs! Love Shota! ❤⚾🇯🇵👨
morel making good defensive plays?, love to see it, michael busch looking like a dawg
Michael Busch rookie of the year
Nah probably gonna be Shota Imanaga if he keeps on pitching the way he is and he could win the cry young as well but Michael Busch has also been a great signing 2024 we’re playoff bound
Still 0 ERA for Imanaga after 3 starts. Just 2 walks. Looking like a great deal for the Cubs
Finally some good pitching going on for the cubbies!
And if Steele comes back it will be better
5.1 IP 5 H 1 ER 2 BB 4 K
Today Imanaga was helped by Morel's defense and the bullpen, but it was a good start as before. And Suzuki is also in good form with another home run. This Japanese duo will lead the Cubs to the playoffs.🎌👏

@@Someone-hi1nt Yessir!
Imanaga and Busch look like great acquisitions for the Cubs!!
Shota Imanaga is magic, a whole lot of magic. #FlyTheW
GO CUBS NATION
*[ W ]*
Thank you Cubs
Man mariners just can’t hit when they get runners in scoring position. It’s like they forget how to just keep the line moving once someone is on second or third.
He is worth it that yamamoto I'm sure of that you can feel the intensity and tenacity at the same time hats off ace
That Cubs third baseman deserves a fat bonus in his next paycheck for this one.
Morel
it's funny you say that because his regular defense has been questionable - he had three errors in the first four games he played in. It's been a open question whether he could stay at 3B and get comfortable at the position. I hope his athleticism ends up making more web gems like this.
@@markmiller3059hmm didn’t we have another guy a few years ago who struggled to make the ordinary effort plays but excelled at the athletic plays? Let’s hope this one hits just a bit better
@@markmiller3059 I guess just stick to bonuses instead of a flat raise for now. Schedule a sit down performance review at the all star break.
Good to see the Cubbies bats get hot again! Go Cubs Go! 💙❤️
morel on fire
Legend has it. Imanaga trains heavily with his blind fold before each game. Striking out batters using a technique called Dermo-optical perception.
Ikuze, Suzuki-sempai!
Let’s go cubbies 🎉
Let's freaking go Cubs 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Great game
Good win boys. Fly the dub!
2:10... Error charged to Busch, but that is Swanson's fault for throwing a lollipop to first base. Throw the darn ball with some velocity! What are these casual tosses he does? 👎
Even at the high school level, the first baseman catches that ball 9/10 times. Considering that’s about as bad a mistake that can happen to a first baseman, he definitely deserves the error. The only thing worse would be a throw to the chest and it popping out of the glove, which you see maybe once total all year.
@@ThatGuy-nv7cx You're right, but my point is that Swanson should stop lobbing balls to first.
💀
Cubs Win!!! Cubs Win!!! Cubs Win!!! Go Cubbies Go!!!! 💙 🐻💙
今永NICE!!
Happy for Seiya's good start. The Cubs are in a tough division but their team is solid
Hopefully this is the game that gives Morel more confidence at the corner
Seiya don't need to come back to Carp, like Akiyama.
今永は世界で1番野球を愛している男だと横浜にいた時から感じてるよ
Now take the series Cubbies!
Amaya 🇵🇦🇵🇦
SHOTA IMANAGA🇯🇵🗾
0:40 Shōta Imanaga Nice Pitching💙❤
3:40 Seiya Suzuki Home Run💙❤
6:16 why not tagging the 3rd base? had enough time
They spoke about this on Cubs radio broadcast, he's new to playing third base and because of the dive, he may not have known where the runner was right away so decided to get the sure out.
I think he had actually no room to think in the close play, but also think good 3B players could have tagged the base.
super close play the runner full sprinting hes standing up from a dive, he chose the save out
I thought that too but at least he got the second out too on a good defensive play
GG Cubs
I think M's pitching will continue to come around, but I fear the hitting won't, which means the M's will lose too many low-scoring games.
Once the it gets warmer dmo is gonna be dangerous. Dude is a friggen player
GO CUBS GO!
イチロー&セイヤ
Let’s go Cubs 8-6 🐻🔴🔵⚪️⚾️
Yayyy Cubs 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👏👏👏😏
Go Cubs Go !!
HEY CHICAGO WHAT DO YOU SAY?
Seattle is a ringless franchise 0🏆🤫
Another Marooner masterpiece!!!
My mlb the show announcer
Seiya "Watch Me Hit" Suzuki
The Chicago Cubs are 8-6🔵🔴⚪️🐻
Saint Seiya stays winning.
When the Mariners team posted their video "A New Chapter" here on RUclips, I said it wouldn't be anything new--just more of the same ol' M's, struggling to hit. The casual fans roasted me. Yet here we are.
Good for Amaya 🇵🇦🇵🇦👍
8:15 8:16 Cubs win! 😊😊😊😊
Hey,Hey, Holy Mackerel!
Yesssah
One of those BABIP nights. D-Mo hits a ball that would have been a 3-Run HR if not for the wind blowing the ball 7 feet back into the field of play. Garver hits a missile down the line that Morel makes a great play on. Bright spot Hancock had a pretty good game. Hope to see him build on that and hopefully Castillo is back to being La Piedra to pick up a series win tomorrow.
Go cubs
Go mariners.
Besbol🇺🇲⚾️
SEIYA SUZUKI🇯🇵🗾
guess the owners just gave up this season even let Gino go
Let Geno go and teo. Replaced them with absolutely nobody 😂😂
The Mariners biggest problem, are the pitcher.
Seems to me bullpens are used too soon. Why not wait till they are really needed instead of counting pitches. Better might be to a reliever ready after so many pitches by the starter. So many games are lost because of early removal of the starter and, must be admitted, there are not that many good bullpens these days.
When you say so many games are lost to early removal, you’re forgetting to factor into the equation the likelihood the batter will get a hit the 3rd time through the order. While the pitcher might be in the “flow” of the game already, batters stats skyrocket the third time facing a pitcher in the same game. It’s not as simple as saying “if you never took him out then you would’ve won”
IMANAGA FOR CY YOUNG
Another winnable game with a decent offense - sadly the M's don't have one. Kudos moving France to the 3 spot earlier in the week but more lineup changes should be tried to spark things up. Go M's!
White soxs should've gone for Maeda , ji man choi and other low or mid level players who could help the team white soxs have destroyed and ruined their players reputation and performance since almost 2018 tgey have been terrible and horrible with so many injuries
No need for a Mariner pitcher, just set the ball up on a tee....... The continuing saga of ------------- THE DOWNHILL EXPRESS !!!!!! You fellas need to go to Lowe's and buy more track grease......... slip slidin' away................
Is anyone mad that the cubs won I was at the game
just accept it
Nico Hoerner with 43 steals last season should be batting 1st or 2nd... not 7th!
No. Stealing does dictate where you hit, getting on base does. Happ is awesome is a lead off hitter when batting lefty.
Obviously you don’t know baseball, if Hoerner was hitting .250+ maybe have him towards the top, and btw he has been lead off batter vs lefties, but right now he’s fine right where he is.
@gregmatyas4272 Obviously, you are the one that doesn't know baseball because you're judging a player based on 2 weeks of a season. Do you really think Nico is going to hit .179 all season? Last season, Nico's OBP was .346, Happ's was .360. Big deal! Not much of a difference. Nico scored 98 runs last season hitting near the top of the order. In case you haven't noticed, speed causes havoc on pitchers & infielders. Nico should be hitting near the top of the order, and Happ should be hitting in an rbi spot... 3rd thru 6th. Don't tell me I don't know baseball. I've been watching the Cubs & MLB since 1979.
@tyger1147 I said Nico should be batting 1st or 2nd. Can you read? You can't judge Nico 14 games into a season. Oh by the way, Nico played in 150 games last season. He batted 1st 74x, batted 2nd 75x, and 7th... once. He scored 98 runs and was very productive hitting 1st & 2nd. He should be hitting 1st or 2nd this season as well.
@@millypoo7713and the cubs struggled with risp last year. This year they are scoring half a run more despite not hitting nearly as well statistically. You seem stuck in the 80’s way of building a lineup where you want your fast guy in lead off and rbi guy lower in the order. The game has evolved.
Seattle is a boring team to watch
second
if MLB doesn't heart this ima cry
John Sciambi's voice is awful.
