This was the song that first got me into boy pablo; and it was at a time where I thought I would lose a relationship with someone that I genuinely loved, and one that I really valued.
We broke up.
The lyrics kinda got me; and everything about this song is super bittersweet to me. I love boy pablo now, and I think she does too.
I hope that she's doing fine; because even though we don't talk anymore (or maybe she hates me for what I did), I still kinda love her.

Ive been fairly happy and enthusiastic about life recently, and I was listening to this song and when 2:55 played I instantly started to tear up and contemplate my entire life and all of my decisions. This was one of the songs I listened to when I was crushing over my girlfriend. It seemed sad and I never imagined that I’d relate to it. Eventually we broke up and I couldn’t help but wonder what could’ve been if we were just a bit older, a bit more mature, a bit more free, just a bit different. I was struggling a lot with my mental health at the time and I would promise her that I would get better, but as each day passed the relationship put more and more stress onto her. We developed bad habits and it was just one hell of a shit fest. There were definitely many good times in the relationship but the things I did left many scars. I feel like if we met at a different point in life, things could’ve been different. Wherever she may be I hope the best for her and that she finds someone who can make her happy.

When I fucked up my grandpa would only say "What did you learn?" God helps me to find the wisdom hidden in circumstances while not dwelling on negative emotions. My last relationship was torturous and embarrassing, but I learned many things including that I'm a great boyfriend who has a lot to offer, but also that I used very little discernment in choosing the girl to partner with.
