Well they were in 4th place after day 1 because of the tumbling falls and one of their stunts fell as well. Day 1 & day 2 scores are not combined. After day 1, Worlds eliminates teams and removes any previous scoring that the teams that made into finals had. Day 2 is essentially a clean slate. Had Panthers made their day 1 mistakes on day 2, they would not have won.
I like that Panthers are going large, but I'm also wary about them doing so. Literally every year at Worlds since 2008, except 2010, their stunts have fallen, and with every team pushing one another, I think that'll pose a problem for them.
Panthers beat every team in the large allgirl team last season and got grand champs against the best teams in the country at NCA so I think they can stand up and kick some butt this season
In worlds 2013 they didn't lose because of a bobble. They lost by 5 points to CEA Senior Elite. They just out did them according to a set of judges. A bobble it anything wouldn't have changed it. Cause they hit beautifully.
They didn't receive any deductions. If anything, their building score was inadvertently lowered because that was an execution error, but because she maintained her body position, they were not actually deducted for it.
i do admit i see better jumps...but honestly one weak section cant knock a team. another team can fumble a stun (cuz their stuns are solid) and boom the team with weak jumps takes gold. so... just saying.
