The sound design is amazing. All the gunfire, explosions blend with each other, seeming in harmony.
My ONLY gripe with ARMA is that they should DEFAULT that grass has to be turned all the way up - people are consistently turning down grass not only for optimization but so that they can see everyone hiding in it.
Takes away from the feeling of sneaky milsim strategy when you're laying in grass but 100M away you're just out in an open field.
Other than that 12/10.
Yeah, this is why we had to stick to foliage or buildings. Fields give you the impression of being safe but the render distance for most people is like 50m max. You stick out like a sore thumb.
The issue there is that grass is rather render intense, which could cause issues for lower end PCs.The most likely solution would be some lower LOD grass or surface that can physically hide a player while being less graphically intense.
@@InsufficientGravitas the typical grass model is one quad, which is two triangles. The only optimization would be lower res textures or no "wind" effects farther out. Not really sure how much that would affect performance. More texture LOD's just mean more textures loaded into VRAM unless the player is already playing at lower texture settings. The lack of "wind" effect could gain some frames if it's not already disabled for foliage farther than a certain threshold.
@@jasonea95 I was more thinking reducing them into fewer, larger models that replace a whole bunk of the grass with a single element that is mainly focused on replicating the visual cover of the grass.
grass rendering is a server side setting and i'm pretty sure the w.c.s servers have it turned up to the max 150m
Having a majority of people that aren't subed is good as it shows your chanel is getting recomended
It's kinda weird to see a guy complaining about balance over building placement in a game focused in Milsim, because while simulating you just have to make it work as it is, regardless of how f*ked up things seams to be.

I'd like to say that it is in many ways an improvement over many of the servers you find depicting modern conflict.
Our devs have spent the last months painstakingly creating new assets and mods, as well as reworking and retexturing many of the existing content.
We are working closely with the people who have spent the last two years fighting in Ukraine to provide players with gameplay that feels the way you would expect from these modern systems, and to enhance overall gameplay feel.
Two custom maps are underway with one 25x25km map being close to completion.
We'll be seeding on Saturdays, if anyone wants to join us or just to check out what we have to offer.

Bro this game has genuinely revived my love for military shooters, I am exclusively a console gamer (Ik roast me) but having this game ported to Xbox has made me feel like a 9 year old ripping MW1 w friends again.

I don't know how realistic the ballistics are but in reality if your rifle is tilted to the right, the shots will also hit to the right (and low). Also could there be a wind effect in the game as well?

Idk if this dudes new to reforger or what . But when he was sniping at the 12:00 min mark, he’s just knocking a lot of these guys not full killing them .

A have to give this guy a lot of point, because he knows how to that advantage over regular players, because none of them seams to even try to change plans while being ambushed by a sniper, like in 6:20, those guys just kept driving slowly like there wasn't no threat at all.

It’s everything Squad wishes it could be.
That's my favorite sniping spot. Its also a common drop off point for the enemy becuase of that tree line so make sure you stack up on grenades and chug them at the enemy, it always confuses the fuck out of them lol

I bought Arma 3 and reforger January 1st on sale. I didn’t even install reforger cause I thought it was some random shitty game. Fast forward and now I got about 350 hours on reforger lmaoo. Game is so much fun.
You know what I dont see arma learning from squad the combat v1 that squad rolled out in the game which was bad as expected. No wonder squad did Gun combat v2 patch

arma has AI "campaign" style missions aswell if that is your cup of tea, there are servers for pve with 64 vs AI. i prefer the pvp though, arma is a sick game.
I've got 1200 hours on reforger and don't regret a second. Amazing game which will develop into something incredible. For all you whining about Arma 3, it took 8 years to get to where it is. Remember that.

Man w.c.s. are the best servers on the game, the need at the least, one more NA server. Also if you hold your watch in hand, hold reload and you can turn it into a compass

I Love Arma Reforgers Ukraine vs Russia Servers very much! Sniping is so much fun in this Game! I didnt touched Arma 3 for like 7 Years and had like 3000hrs in that Game...Starting Reforger and making my first Rounds...it feels like Home. Iam back again and enjoy the Battles very very much!

This game is great and mod support is diverse but F me the performance is beyond horrible.
I played on moded servers few times and i have to say the modded sound is the worsh shit i ever witnessed, granades sound like atomic bomb, meanwhile APC's 30mm sounds like a 9 mil. Weapons that don't even shoot straight when ADS...I can go on and on but who cares right? Pure unplayable terror...

I would be more interesting in this game if it didn't look and play like total shit. You have to rebind almost all the controls to make it playable which is insane.
Arma reforger is okay but really clunky and janky game. reminds alot of Arma3 which was never made for PVP and Reforger reminds me of it.
It's not even finished game It's more like a bench test for Arma 4

Study art and ripoff 1st worlders who pay way too much for that stuff that's what I do. Well technically I'm 1st world... but... pay is very not good here relative to the rest of the 1st world and employment is basically impossible hahah. I played on one of these servers the other day - was putting CLIPS into people point blank for them to just raise from the dead and kill me. The server latency and hit registration issues will kill this game.....
