Anxiety is often symptoms of a real hormonal balance or improper functioning of the endocrine and nervous systems. It is not worry or stress, though that may happen.
Anxiety often grows out of an improperly functioning body and your mind becomes concerned, like it should, when the body is under duress.
Anxiety attacks can be triggered subconsciously, and because of the improperly functioning nervous and endocrine systems, it unleashes a fight or flight response. This idea that you can control these kind of attacks are generally wrong.
Anxiety is not a sin. It is a real medical condition. This idea that it is you worrying needlessly is simply wrong. Though there may be anxiety like that, the broad brush is wrong.
By the way when God tells us not to worry, what law is being broken given that sin is the transgression of the law?
Yes I was also, I suffered from morning depression and anxiety it was horrible from a past relationship I developed it. I just starting reading up on delivery of these diseases, So one day I just started to fast and pray and reading gods word. It didn’t happen over night but I started noticing changes with In my mental state in the mornings and just started declaring gods word over my situation. God is so good when we fully let go of our burdens.

In 2019 I went through daily panic attacks, every single day. It was so overwhelming, that car rides leaving home to work or go to the store would send extreme fear and dread to my very core. Every time I felt that I had to pee my pants because how scared I was. Then I heard the song "burn the ships," and the story of his wife flushing the pills. Not trusting in them, but trusting in Jesus Christ. I felt so encouraged. It was peace that I'm not all alone or the only one having panic attacks and fear. What I did every morning and night was read psalm 23 and psalm 91. I spoke God word over me 2Timothy 1:7 - For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." God walk with me through my darkness, and brough light, peace, and calm only that Jesus Christ can give. Thank you for this story. It reminds me when God brought me out of darkness, into light.

When I read this my heart skipped. When I was 10 years old I awoke one night and started having panic attacks for no apparent reason. I couldn't sleep or eat I was so possessed by this fear. My mom had told me years ago that God had given her a verse for me 2 Timothy 1:7. She hung it in a frame above my bed. I repeated the words over and over and over again as well as the same Psalms you mentioned when, as a little girl and even now, I was experiencing darkness. Thank you for sharing and letting me know I'm not alone sister in Christ ❤️
Reading what you went through, move my heart too. We think we are going through this battle all alone, that we're alone in this fight. It amazing how God does not leave us alone, and if we try to believe Jesus can help us, Jesus help in a mighty way. Reminds me how scripture says "for God is an ever present help in our problems." God help our daily problems, comfort us with his words, send peace, and an answer to fear. Till this day I still read the same sciptures. It soften my heart because reminds how God showed up for me. Also what you and I went through is in Ephesians 6:12, it important to put on the armour of God Ephesians 6:11-18. It is a daily mental war and we have to seek Jesus for victioury and peace. He is the Prince of Peace, and "He who the son [Jesus Christ] set free, is free indeed."

I have postpartum PTSD currently. The Burn the Ships song has been instrumental in my process of healing and growing. I am praying that one day I will look back on this time and praise God for His deliverance and see Him in a whole new beautiful way.

I have struggled with anxiety attacks for years; since I was a teenager and I am 70 years old now. These attacks are horrible. As a Christian, I have prayed, used medications, Christian Counseling, exercise, etc. I haven't completely put the anxiety attacks in my past, but I know the Lord is with me when I have one. Some times I feel like I am dying and I will go into a room and isolate. My insides shake. I haven't put these attacks in my past, but without God, I know I wouldn't be here. This is the first time I have ever shared any of this with any one other than God, my Husband, and Counselors.
I just absolutely love Courtney & Luke...they are such an inspiration to me and my screwed up life.....I’d be honored some day if I could meet these 2.....Amen🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

My daughters and I have a lot of anxiety due to verbal and emotional abuse by my husband. One daughter has suffered panic attacks and one has unreasonable fear of social interaction. My husband needs deliverance from his desire to control and manipulate every situation and relationship. He carries a lot of fear of death and sickness. We need deliverance from his control and the fear of his outbursts. Please pray for us.

In fact, I realized later on that I had a demon of depression and anxiety in me.
God however delivered me. I felt so free.
I believe through fasting and praying God can deliver you from any demon. Also, reading the word of God is important.

You're not alone Courtney. I gave that kind of call to my husband so he could take me to the ER. I had a plan and everything. My PTSD was thru the roof and was having High anxiety and ended up in a mental ward for a week while I get on medication to help me. I'm still on medication and therapy but it's helping. The lord is leading me to a more healthy way and healing me. The lord was with me there and it made a huge difference.
I went to inpatient therapy for anxiety and depression and suicidal ideations from 10 years of emotional abuse. Family rejection. Been 5 weeks. Then had to go off my meds a week ago. I think Im ok then the tears flood and wont stop. When will it end?? Im praying so much

I would also look for a friend you can call when it's especially hard, so they can pray with you over the phone. You need believers to walk through this with you. I'm praying for you.

Jesus can heal you. Anxiety attacks happen a lot of times when we try to figure everything out and trying to handle it. But we have to, bit by bit, give our worries and concerns to Jesus. He loves us.

I had Menier Syndrome too but in the name of Jesus I was healed. Of course my lifestyle change too .I cook my own food,healthy y natural ,do exercise and ,trust in God.
I get the anxiety too. It’s been getting worse with the pandemic. Sometimes I feel so scared that I am going to die because I am having panic attacks. I just feel like we are going downhill as a nation and are headed for God’s judgement. I am scared of dying. I am 22 and I know Jesus, but I am so afraid that I will not experience the normal milestones of life because 2020 may be the end times. That makes me feel so anxious. Not knowing what will happen day after day, natural disasters everywhere, riots, it’s just non-stop.
I just have to pray.
Don't be afraid, God is with you and will never leave you!
Give your fear to God, and I pray that you may know His peace in your life. He protects you,
yes the world is getting darker but Jesus is our Light, let us fix our eyes on Him.
We don't know how the future will look like, but as His beloved children we can hold fast to His promises and that we have

I am just starting to accept that I suffer from real anxiety and it's been hard. It's not rational, and sometimes I feel as though I can't control myself from overeacting all the time.
I had depression and anxiety for over forty years, I had spent weeks, years in a sea of despair. I had been on various medications over the year. I finally accepted my Lord God and asked for His forgiveness through His Son Christ Jesus. It was the verse in the second letter of Paul to Timothy 1:7 “ for God did not give us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power and love and a sound mind “ , that was my lightbulb moment realising that the adversary was the cause of my mind of fear. I never took another tablet. I have such peace my life has been transformed. If I could give anyone advice I would say to pray often to the Father and read His word every day, and don’t just read the words, actually live your life by them; be a doer. God Bless you.

This was me since 2013 but God literally took away my anxiety overnight! I'm claiming victory for anyone else who needs to be delivered because it is possible. Many people will tell you that it is a lifelong disease but refuse to believe that because he can turn it around for you in an instant if you ask and believe!

"Getting mental health care?" Who gave her the drugs? Doctors. When they stopped working, who upped the dose? Doctor's. Who got her off? She did. The night she called her husband and said come home now.
All I see is that big drug pharma and doctor's created an addict problem in her, on top of her initial health needs. They layered an unnecessary battle onto her. Doctor's do say addiction isn't a choice. Yes it is a choice. She took her power back the day she made a choice to get off legal drugs. I totally support her healing process. But realize that doctor's chose to induce a legal drug habit in her. Drug pharma kills 300,000 people every year in USA. It is a multi billion dollar business. I'm thankful she wasn't one of them.

I prayed that prayer. Thank you. I work in mental health...it's draining, frustrating & it causes me to experience anxiety and panic attacks. I dread going there most days & can't enjoy my day off because of the dread of returning to "What now?" I take anxiety meds every once in a while but I try not to do it consistently. My mom takes them as well. Please pray for her also. She's not dependent on them, however she takes more than I. She's also a Believer & Follower of Christ. I actually was in the midst of one of my most debilitating panic attacks when I listened to that song. Ever since that experience, I have felt the power of God in my anxiety, helping me try to control it. For the first time ever, I have sought counseling and am working with my mental demons. Last year I was diagnosed with Lumiers disease after having strep throat. I was told the same thing as Courtney. A 1 in a million. I was in the hospital for 5 days after it caused a blood clot in my brain which caused a seizure. What are the chances that one of the wives of my favorite band dealt with something so similar. I am recovering still, struggling with anxiety from it, but I know that God is in control and I am here for a reason! Praise the Lord! His mercies are new every morning.

I used to have such bad panic attacks when i was in my 30s, that i actually considered suicide. I am now 63 years old and the panic attacks are better and manageable. I praise God for getting me through that dark period.
