Unlike your normal videos, this one was overloaded with videos where it says the customer asked about this noise - but neither the submitter nor you provided the 'what' that was wrong with the vehicle. We're not all mechanics, and even mechanics probably can't get every clip right after 5 seconds of a sound. Even if you just stick the info on the screen during the clip for a few seconds, it would be appreciated.
@4:46 - That Honda V6 engine needs the timing belt replaced. That knocking noise is most likely the timing-belt tensioner going out. The car probably never got the timing-belt service done after 100,000 miles. Simply performing the service will fix the issue… or they leave it like that they’ll get misfires all day.
Mister BMW man, if you happen to read the comments and see this. It’s the valve cover making the sound. The PCV is integrated into the valve cover and when the diaphragm tears, it makes that sound. If you wanna confirm this, take the oil cap off and It’ll go away if you take the cap off
Exactly lol. Most people are too lazy (or dumb) to hold their phone correctly to film something. I always ask people who do that this… “would you watch your favorite movie like that?”
3:18 If you ever feel stupid.... just remember that this owner wasted $250+ on real Ferrari badges on a car that NOBODY would be fooled into thinking was a Ferrari in the first place 🤦♂🤦♂
I will never use a Champion spark plug again as well. I use whatever is stock for my cars. Motorcraft for my Ford, NGK for my Honda, AC/Delco for the GM, and AutoLite for my old Wrangler.
All ya gotta do is to off the blinker fluid, replace the piston return springs, tune the muffler bearings, use a metric crescent wrench. That'll fix all these problems.
My "customer states" quote for literally today;"truck sounds a steam train", and it did. Head gasket blown and compression of no 3 cylinder blowing back through the intake manifold and carburetor. Cheap-ass gasket couldn't keep it together, engineering is done and a new Victor-Reinz gasket is installed and it will start up tomorrow before 9h00.
4:28 If you listen closely the engine revolutions/firing and the noise heard don't sync up so I'm putting money on it being a pulley. I think the customer will be OK. If the noise syncs up to the engine revolutions it would be rod knock or crank bearing failure. The sounds heard are more noticable with headphones on
0:15 I have never seen that before. Holy shit lol "Boat anchor" omg x3 2:32 Well it's a bimmer so... time to pull the motor. 2:53 Tires still got tread on them. It's still good to go! 3:39 Well it's champion... what do you expect from the "dollar tree" spark plug.
I meet with a friend who i didnt seen a while . And i seen him having trouble operating the car steering properly .i asked him if i can take a look?. I did take a good look. The feomt suspension was all bluetooth. (It was hold together by only hopes amd dreams)
Wow! so many people don't believe in maintenance or regular shop visits and can't figure out why their car breaks down. i have a 2001 subaru with almost 300,000 miles on it and i t runs like a top. yes iv'e put money into it for the sole purpose of keeping it running and rolling right. it's just common sense
When GM introduced the X body vehicles there was a problem with the pcm getting full of antifreeze. The problem was the sender for the coolant temp wanst sealed and the coolant would pass through the wire into the computer a new sensor and connection took care of it. I went to the GM training center for the new Xbody Phoenix by Pontiac in 79
that BMW with the whining noise, I'd suspect one of the pulleys going bad, and about to seize up, and the belt is starting to scrape over it creating that noise. easiest to find out when removing the belt and moving every pulley by hand. replace the balancer while you're at it, it might have gone bad, already, too.
Good evening, these pictures show that it's better to have a tecnical control by law, cause these damages don't come surprising in a moment. They need a little more time, and it's dangerous for the owner and others to drive with such cars. Greatings from Germany 👍
AHhh yes because giving Big Daddy Gubbmint even more authority and control over everything has shown to be so good for us the past few years. I would honestly rather these people drive their rattling death traps right next to me on the highway than give Tyrants more power, because at least I would die a free man in the first one. I can also much more easily avoid the deathtraps on the highway. Taking freedom lost by legislature back is not so easily done.
These videos would get wildly more views and interactions if there was text on the screen that helped viewers learn. The videos are presented like a continuous inside joke among mechanics. I would like to learn by watching the videos
The metal base of the spark plug is simply like a bolt screwed into the head. It has nothing to do with the ceramic breaking, unless the mechanic put sideways force on the plug or it was dropped and cracked/broke the ceramic insulator of the plug.
Turn you phone horizontal, not vertical. Is that how YOUR TV is? My TV and my monitor, even my laptop screen are HORIZONTAL. Do you ever see someone with a digital camera turn it to the vertical position? Me either. You may have to enable auto-rotate on your phone.
I didn't like this video as much. I am not a mechanic, so when they just film an engine making some random noise, without any commentary, I have no idea what the problem is or why I should find it humorous or alarming.

Variable spark plug, technology sure is evolving
This video taught me that there aren't 3 people in the world that still know how to use a camera.

Thanks, will put this in my info storage box.
Life saver. I stumbled upon it on this video. I have a 04 e53 and it made the same exact noise. What’s an estimate cost
@@brianrascoe00 which engine do you have? M54 or N62?
Yep that's air being sucked thru the crankshaft seal
Yikes! So the entire valve cover goes in the trash vs a $2 PCV valve and another $5 for the grommet and hoses?
Filming short side up should be outlawed.
Exactly lol. Most people are too lazy (or dumb) to hold their phone correctly to film something.
I always ask people who do that this… “would you watch your favorite movie like that?”
TF does that even mean
You mean verticaly?
Right! What the hell is with the blurred sides?
@@Kekeslicious exactly
I'm amazed the fails just keep coming😂😂😂, rock on.
0:42 that sound is about $10-15K about to leave your wallet.
LFMAO
Heavy knocking, never good
Well, that's what a German car is supposed to sound like the day after the warranty expires
I'm taking my 2005 Saturn Vue in today for an oil change and inspection, this makes me feel better about myself
But you drive a Saturn Vue...
@@DeadReckon She's not getting any younger. Gotta keep her compliant and in good shape.
4:15 On any other brand you'd call that an engine rebuild. On a Subaru that's just periodic maintenance ;)
It sounded like a timing belt tensioner.
I agree.... Ringland failure, that's just part of a the usual service, right?
Grease instead of oil, huh.
Good lord
That car with the dashboard lights flicking on and off on it's own is just Christine trying to resurrect herself in a new body lmfao! 😂🚘
Guy 1 - let's steal this truck!
Guy 2 - I can hot wire it! Get me a glass of water!
3:18 If you ever feel stupid.... just remember that this owner wasted $250+ on real Ferrari badges on a car that NOBODY would be fooled into thinking was a Ferrari in the first place 🤦♂🤦♂
Love the sound of the MB...The sound of quality and German engineering at its best.
cam shaft actuator. due to low oil pressure on startup, GOAT garage has a good diag and repair vid.
I mean they did win the first Tour de France
Some newer Toyota engines rattle like crazy on cold starts. That's VVT phaser gears without oil pressure.
It'd be nice if you explained what the cause of the problems are.
I've had that same problem with champion spark plugs before. Never used them again. I've been using NGK or auto lite
I will never use a Champion spark plug again as well. I use whatever is stock for my cars. Motorcraft for my Ford, NGK for my Honda, AC/Delco for the GM, and AutoLite for my old Wrangler.
I've never had an issue with champion spark plugs, Going on twenty years I think.
That sound on the subaru engine is a water pump about to seize. Don’t ask me how I know that.
I like the annunciation on "Windshield seal leak" yeah that's a fkin tongue twister lol
good work as usual
First clip: Wow. That entire engine is done for.
Blowing up a Cat engine is gonna leave your bank account a lot smaller.
1:50 that cars possessed now 😱😱
Not supposed to do an alignment with wheels like that
All ya gotta do is to off the blinker fluid, replace the piston return springs, tune the muffler bearings, use a metric crescent wrench. That'll fix all these problems.
It has to be a left handed crescent wrench or it won't work.
Don't forget folks, these deathtraps are driving down a freeway near you....or most likely, *towards you.* Be afraid, be *VERY* afraid.😱
2:37 that's the water/oil separator, had it happened to my on my VW Magotan 2.0 TSI, many years ago.

I agree. I guess EJ20 engine with bad pulley adjuster... easy fix
My father had this with his 1997 Ranger before he got rid of it. It's not something necessarily major, but it's annoying.
Easy way to tell is take the belts off and start it up for a minute.
cough... Scoobie ringland failure.....
4:29 That engine starts sounding like a clock. 😂
I'll take mechanics seriously when they learn to record in Landscape mode.
Tbh, it is way easier and more secure to hold a phone in portrait mode than landscape
Better yet, don't take mechanics seriously until you're broke down on the side of the road.
at 3:15 its probably the most reliable ferrari ever seen🤣
RUclips viewer states... Y'all making some of these up for the tic-toc. 😏

3:45 you put those spark plugs in your lawn mower or chainsaw, not a your car 😂 those are the Fram of spark plugs
For the Honda v6 it is 100% the timing belt tensioner.
Yup. My Odyssey sounded the same. Was an easy fix. Pulling the pin very satisfying.

@4:58 why does that sound like my washing machine when I've some shit in my jeans pocket ?
that prius looks just as awful as any fakrari. so he definitely can identify it as a fakrari
Well, lost THOSE rod bearings!
The water leak is a good one.
That 3.5 hondo sounded like a failed hydraulic tb tensioner
Whaaaaattt!!?!? A Subaru knocking?!?!? Never heard of it…..
To be honest I didn't know electronically adjustable brake pedals existed. Huh...neat.
4:44 , i mostly hear a "scraping"noise , sure it isnt one of the guidebearings in combination with the belt squeeling ?
that BMW with the whining noise, I'd suspect one of the pulleys going bad, and about to seize up, and the belt is starting to scrape over it creating that noise. easiest to find out when removing the belt and moving every pulley by hand.
replace the balancer while you're at it, it might have gone bad, already, too.
normal subaru sound @4:10
Adjustable brake pedal? That's not a malfunction waiting to happen.
0:43 That's actually a pretty normal sound for a Mercedes when they hit 70k miles or so.
Sounds like bad AC clutch bearing on the subaru @04:28.
1:43 over 25mph with a 4" high curb will done it.

Why do you have a bicycle cassette sprocket as part of your logo? I don't see any bike content on here . . .
I respect that Ferrari, looks cool and offends two types of people 😂
Why are we suddenly getting multiple videos from clueless non mechanics instead of mechanics showing customer cars?
did you deliberately pick every incorrectly filmed narrow view vertical video made in the last week?
These videos would get wildly more views and interactions if there was text on the screen that helped viewers learn. The videos are presented like a continuous inside joke among mechanics. I would like to learn by watching the videos
Why is there a button that disables the brakes in that car?, seems like a lawsuit to me.
3:06 NO, you need to stop putting those stupid ass wide wheels on pickup trucks. They're ridiculous.
1:25 where is the wheel bearing?
for the sparkplug: maybe overtorqued or got droped somewhere.
The metal base of the spark plug is simply like a bolt screwed into the head. It has nothing to do with the ceramic breaking, unless the mechanic put sideways force on the plug or it was dropped and cracked/broke the ceramic insulator of the plug.
2:15 ah the sound of the PCV going the ghost
Very interesting. I'd swear it's a bone dry bearing. Then again I don't know BMWs.
4:51 VCM rattle most likely
Aluminum fractures….it doesn’t bend like steel does
I was a mechanic for 28 years at dealership s. The Quality of work is shit
0:54 no not the j series 😭
The vehicle in the first clip needs a new driveline.
3:16 That's just shameful. Toyota FINALLY makes a good looking Prius, and this jackwagon put fake Ferrari badges on it.... Thanks. I hate it.
who the heck buys champion plugs? lol

Copying someone slses channel should be illegal and shut down just like this channel customer states
What’s he supposed to say “customer says”?
@2:43 Reducer? Is that supposed to be a per wheel final drive kind of thing for bulldozers/tanks etc?
