Nice video! I like your "what will it take to afford this" section. I realize it's very generalized info off of a lot of averages, but it's good info. Been looking at this car, the Toyota RAV4, and Ford Escape for my next vehicle. Just wish the market wasn't so expensive right now 😑

Thanks for watching, glad you found it helpful! Those are good options. It looks like the car market might start to cool off a bit more here soon, so it may be worth it to wait to buy.

You might want to mention the hybrid motor specs. You mentioned the battery once.

What happened to Kumho or Hankook tires in KIA? How about PHEV.

Good question. From what I've seen, the Kumho and Hankook tires come on specific models, and it looks like they're using Continental tires more. I'm assuming the Goodyears came stock on this Sportage.
Not sure if the PHEV is really worth it. It's 10K more than the hybrid, and can't use DC fast charging. With the exception of Teslas right now, I would favor hybrids over plug-in hybrids.

Window sticker gives this SUV a city 38 and highway 38 mpg. Although people have gotten better and worse gas mileage with their daily commutes which varies on driving style and other factors.

For sure, everybody drives differently so they might not get the gas mileage listed by the manufacturer.

Can you come off as being more anti-Kia, then you are in this video? A few of your facts are wrong first Kia has offered10 year hundred thousand mile warranty for at least 15 years on all of their cars. Second the gas mileage for the highbred EX and SX prestige is 38 miles per gallon not 42. I just purchased the SX prestige three months ago, and it is the best new car I have ever purchased. Hands-down, a winner.

I appreciate the feedback. I think it's a pretty solid car, and I didn't mean to come off as anti-Kia. Yeah you're right about the warranty, that's our fault. For the gas mileage, the LX get's 42/44, so that's why we said at most.
