Out of everything Regis has done on television, this is scene is my favorite of all time. RIP Regis.
Apparently Regis hated the word Boncles and was annoyed with David and Seinfeld for overusing that word.
really? I always thought he was saying "bonkos" (like "bonkers", but New Yawker) and it was the best part of the scene! Re-hearing him say it was the entire reason why I decided to re-watch this video clip!
RIP Regis - this guys bonkos!
I came to pay my respects, but you beat me to it, you fucker!
Michael Richards played that scene so brilliantly. He had to act as if he had never been a talk show guest before. So strange and hilarious.
Yes, but a lot of actors aren't all that great at acting.
And Jerry Seinfeld worst actor ever 😂
Yeah, & retards were going batshit over fucking DiCaprio in that Tarantino piece of shit because he was "playing a guy, playing another guy". Richards did this over 20 years ago - & did it better.
Get out!
@@zulfikranzulmos4066 A Bee can be a better actor than Jerry Seinfelds, Jerry SienFelds.
I say bonkos all the time because of this scene.
Thank you Larry David. You are a genius.
Larry David is bonkos
It's funny because Regis absolutely hated it
and didn't want to say it
He didn't find it funny at all
But was made to say it
"You kids don't go out and try that. You stay in school!" Sound advice Kramer.
"If you don't have a coffee table, it turns into a coffee table."
RIP Regis Philbin.
0:41 this little movement sums of kramers physical comedy for me.🤣
Regis may have hated the "this guy's bonkos" line but it framed the scene perfectly. It was meant to highlight Kramer's eccentricity.
It also highlighted how silly Regis is.
Flip86 giddy up
This coffee table book is making me thirsty !!!!
GIDDY UP !!!
Lol so funny. Kathy Lee asks him if he'd always had an interest in coffee tables, then Kramer responds with "if u dont have a coffee table, it turns into one!" Hell of a non sequitur lol
You're right; though I only realized that today after seeing this a million times!
It is a non sequitur, but on the other hand it's quite typical of chat show guests when they haven't much time and are supposed to/want to cram in a certain comment, so I think it was realistic.
“This guy’s bonkos” I love that line. RIP Regis.
oh he died? lol cool I wish I could do that
@@Jagar_Tharn choose life friend.
This has got to be one of the most hilarious Seinfeld scenes.. The facial expressions at the end are priceless
I know Regis hated it, and it might be because I'm British, but every time I hear the line "this guy's bonkos..." I laugh my arse off. It's hilarious! "THIS GUY'S BONKOS!!!"
I think it was originally "bonkers" but Larry David thought "bonkos" was funnier because it's a quirky word.
@@jcrawford068 it really is! So fun to say!
If you don't have a coffee, table, it turns into a coffee table!
I LOVED this crossover. Everyone involved did an awesome job from the actors and personalities to the writers. So much fun to watch!!!
Haha! Kathie Lee actually cracks up after the kiss....
0:37 I always laughed my ass when I see that idiot kissed kathy lee passionately 😂😂😂
Why idiot? That's Kramer 😅
Regis said "this guy is bonkos!" three times. No one laughed.
Well, the audience gets Regis' humor then.
Apparently they wrote that line for him and Regis objected to it but they didn't listen and he wasn't happy about it
And now hes dead
I found it humorous more so in playing into the triteness of “clean” daytime TV. This scene is one of the most memorable Regis Philbin scenes for me, but I can see why it’s not “haha” funny
it's hilarious, and the fact no one laughs makes me laugh even more XD BONKOS!!!
Kramer's look of satisfaction at his adoring audience at 1:30 makes the whole scene. I can never watch without laughing my ass off.
Much respect, Regis. You will be missed
"yea he is, hes a nice lookin guy" lmao
RIP to Regis and any other Human beings that have passed.
Fuckin died the first time I saw Kramer pull down the legs of the coffee table book lol
no Regis died on Saturday July 34th at 45:28 pm, 20%4
RIP Regis. Always a class act.
I love saying something is “bonkos” ironically now because this scene is actually hilarious
That's not irony
Wtf
The zoom in when he transforms the book
First a coffee table book then turn it into a coffee table!
They're introducing him as "Kramer" rather than "Cosmo Kramer". Also the book cover says "By Kramer."
His first name wasn't revealed at this time
GeorgeUK84 but has Cosmo come out to the light yet at this time in the series????
Richard Monaghan no
One of the funniest scenes ever.
RIP Regis, NY represent!
May he rest in peace. He was quite a unique fellow.
He was bonkos, he really was!
Can we talk about how he literally just walked on stage like a chad and kissed kathy lee on the mouth 😂😂
RIP Regis Philbin. Thanks for the laughs.
I miss Regis Philbin RIP 1931-2020
“Did I tell ya this guy’s bonkos?” RIP Regis
lol he died
Regis Philbin, we miss you! May you rest in Peace :(
nah its fine he did enough
Maybe the best 2 minutes of tv ever
"This guy is bonkos!!!"
RIP Regis
R.I.P., Regis.
Lol poor Regis had told the writers that "this guy is a bonkos" aint funny! But they insisted that he says it... And it bombed!
allbu849 he was supposed to say boncles not bonkos, but he didn't get it. That's why it bombed.
To be fair, the audience laughed the first time he said. it. Not so much the second and third time.
That makes even less sense
i'm British and i crack up every time he says it.
RIP Regis ❤️

This guy's from New York City.
Kathy lee; "all over my kathy lee casuals!
"Oh and regis one more small thing......when you bring me out.....can you introduce me as bonkos?"
my idea is a coffee table with everyone's favourite chocolate bar rappers under the glass top? Also you have the same chocolate bars to have just in case, people ask for one of them?
Today is October 5th, 2013 and I just viewed the latest UPS television commercial; and now know what became of Mr. Lippman {aka Richard Fancy}, who published Kramer's coffee table book...
{Mr. Fancy celebrated his 70th birthday two months ago on August 2nd}...
As soon as he turns it into a coffee table, you knew Kramer was a muse. APPLAUDDDDDDD.
KL looks great here.
Tuesday’s with stories
RIP Regis Philbin
How The audience are screaming and yelling LOL
RIP Regis
RIP Regis.
I don’t know if it’s the hair or something
i thought this was from an actual talk show :D :D
Did you eat all of Rallo's fish sticks?
You can't be serious!!!!
Giddy Up
RIP regis!
peter king made me watch this.
rip Regis :(
I know Jerry Seinfeld was meant to be a contestant on the primetime version of Millionaire when Drew Carey returned.
Kathy Lee Gifford looks pretty good here.
So was the "skiing" part just a little fib by Kramer during his book tour visit at Regis and Kathie Lee? Usually L.D. is meticulous in his continuity. Because Kramer came up with the book idea while at George's parents house.
Haaheehee hahaahahaa heeheehaa, when he spits it out
delightfully, I think Kathy Lee was a gentle woman with flair, why on earth would you push her aside? The coffee table book, should introduce the fragrant & texture of Coffee. We fiends live day-to-day drinking this insurgent it kick starts our stability.
Cosmo Kramer meets Regis Philbin and Katie Lee Gifford
This guys bonkos!
"You kids stay in school!..."
Rip Regis philbin
So, I've been a Seinfeld fan for decades now but I have never been sure as to what happened here. Did Kramer choke on the coffee? Did he not like it?
I always remember seeing this episode when it aired and wondering who the hell says bonkos, and why does Regis keep saying it. It's so preposterous it always stuck with me. When something/someone's too ridiculous, I have to call on bonkos. No one ever gets it, but I never care. Good times lol
RIP
..."Young guy" 😂
Did he just kissed her and she fainted ?
1:48
#grangergloryhole
1:58 made by the hands of children 🤣🤣🥳🥳
He went and straight up kissed Kathy 😅
"I love hair!"
"Oh, me too."
Stone me if you will but Kathie Lee is quite hot here.
Wheeling a barrel of rocks to your house now.
The plunging neckline is nice ;)
Does anyone in England actually say bonkos? Seeing most of the comments were made years ago, I expect someone would respond in a year or two so no rush.
It's bonkers not bonkos, v common in UK
Bonkos ?
Who says Bonkos ?
New Yorkers.
Why did Kramer do a spit take? Was his coffee cold or something?
ALL OVER MY KATHIE LEE CASUALS!
Did Kramer say something at the end about milk?
I heard "The coffee was terrible"
What is the episode?
Season 5 episode 21 The Opposite
Yea, poor guy :/....
i always thought kathie lee was really attractive ijs
Regis hated that he had to keep saying "This guy's bonkos" and when the audience didn't really laugh at it, he knew he was right and it wasn't funny at all
lol wtf it was his catchphrase u obviously never watched his show
@@Jagar_Tharn Who's catchphrase? Regis has literally said, on tv, he hated saying this guy's bonkos and thought it wasn't funny. You're making no sense sweetie.
@@DavidBennet Regis "That guy's bonkos!" Philbin, 1920-2098
@@Jagar_Tharn Is there something wrong with you, like mentally? Genuinely curious
I thought it was hilarious. Because Kramer is bonkos... it perfectly describes him.
I’m a bit confused about the bonkos thing. Who cares? Aren’t they the guest stars in the show? Aren’t Larry and Jerry the writers? Regis didn’t have to take the part, it wasn’t his show and it was a 2 min segment on a show that he was a guest star on. The audience laughter is part of the show so couldn’t they have asked the audience to simply laugh? I’m kind of confused by all of this lol.
I always found it funny how she got more mad about the coffee on dress thing vs him just kissing her on the mouth lol
Culturally significant.
Funny.
America's introduction to Kramer.
I wanted to pay my respects, but it turns out a lot of you fuckers beat me to it.
He wasn't skiing when he came up with the idea, that's BS. He came with the idea at George's place after Jerry put the coffee cup on the coffee table without a coaster..
nypost.com/2011/11/22/regis-philbin-still-harboring-18-year-old-grudge-against-jerry-seinfeld/
Regis talks in detail in the link how he hated saying the line "Bonkos" because it did not go over well with the audience. Jerry thought it was funny.
that was a prank between the 2 of them, the truth is he said it all the time on his show, go watch the tapes, 1987-1993
This didn’t age well:/ rip
What the fuck is Bonkos
It's sounds like a Groucho max joke a coffee table book about coffee tables what's next a tv guide about tv's with pretty kattie on the front classic line when I'm skiing I'm trying not to kill myself your writing books
I can't make out what Kathy Lee says after he spits out the coffee. "All over my _______ dress!"
Haha I think she yells “ All over my Kathy Lee Casuals!!”
bonkos bombed... EMBARRASSING!
😳
I love Bonkos!
In an alternate universe Kramer is a failed comedian and shoots Regis
