Excellent film. I’m glad that these are still available for us to see so that we don’t soon forget the great warriors who helped to preserve our country’s and civilization’s peace.
My wife's uncle served in 29th Infantry Division, 115th Regiment. He survived D-Day (Omaha Beach), and was killed at St. Lo. He was 20 years old and is buried at American Military Cemetery, Colleville-sur-Mer, France. We visited his grave in 2019.. heartbreaking but a beautiful place to be.

RicTic66 you have to remember that, just like WWI, the United States fought and equipped both wars, alone without any allied nations. I would apologise to America, but I get so fed up with news reels, documentaries and films pushing the allied contributions to one side and almost re re-writing history.
In context and contrast to when America wasn't great before the New Deal unless you were a Morgan or a Rockefeller. In contrast to how since that short period of New Deal birthed relatively common prosperity. Before the McCarthy Red Scare Purges decapitated half of the American political brain. In contrast to today, where the stomach robbing rich have struck down the New Deal, labor protecting law, progressive taxation, quality public services, declared that "Greed is Good", and have cheated and sucked the money out of masses of the working people of the nation, yes, when America was Great. I'm writing here for comprehensive and active students of history btw, not hide bound partisan cherry pickers who's comments pepper the threads here and there. When America was Great, in context to WW II time, most Americans supported the New Deal and labor union strength. They supported public education, health care and housing. They supported universal global human rights, and an end to racist discrimination. Do we appreciate that wisdom in 2019?... Some of us cherry pick around it, some of us take it in and give it some thought.

“Hitler would send over his reminder notes, every hour, on the hour”? We know the blitz and air campaign was rough, but air raids were not that frequent. And “ we captured the whole V2 division “ wow, talk about self important, ok, this was many years ago when America was writing history, and this type of narration was the norm, and it was about an American division, but, NO mention of the French fighting with the colonists during the war of independence, NO mention of the allies during WW1, NO mention of the allies in WWII, the only time the narration was right was during the American civil war segment, then they did equip and fight alone, and won the war alone, still, one out of four isn’t bad, 25% doesn’t sound so bad!!!!!!!.
at the time this stuff was broadcast there was little thought on it being shown around the world as it is today..it was in it's day about what we did and I agree about it being historically incorrect omitting the effort everyone put into the Allied Effort...the sacrifices ALL the Allies made early on and during that war...it led to a lot of misconceptions but as we grew older an went to war ourselves most of us realized how the home front has slanted views...anyone with a grain of sense knows to look beyond what is trotted out.
