I am studying Japanese and had a chance to see Kodo drum group performing in CT this past March.. I'm interested in seeing their hometown in your upcoming episodes. Thanks for going there.
Charles Jenkins lived an interesting life. The fact that he was also married to a Japanese woman that was abducted by North Korea fascinates me. Jenkins said he almost immediately regretted his desertion. He said that for seven years until 1972, he and three other US servicemen were quarantined in a one-room house with no running water, where they were made to study the Juche philosophy of Kim Il-sung daily. It would have been fascinating if you've done an interview with him. North Korea still has a presence in Japan as the Chongryon organization.
Right, Charles Jenkins! He was always in the news here many years ago. I actually looked this up to try and see if I could talk to him but learned that he’d passed.
Does Japan Cola taste like normal Pepsi? It looks like normal Pepsi. There isn't any Fanta Peach around me but I've had it in the past. At 3:36 that looks similar to a Totem pole. Cool
Your videos never fail to amaze. Simple Informative Personal Like you are talking to us not at us. Thank you. Love to see new places. Street food is my favorites. However, I mostly love the knowledge you bring to us in simple yet informative ways. Thank you.
There are free WiFi and. Snack bar on the regular ferry. You can feed some seagulls that follow the ferry. You can also walk around and sometimes they put on Ondaiko show to the guests
Dear john, does Japan use hovercrafts. Near me in the uk I can cross to Isle of Wight a small island on our south coast, via the hover craft . You are also able to use a ferry or the faster hydro foil
I understand that the taiko performers are so disciplined that once completed the Boston Marathon and then did a complete performance for the runners after the race!

Gold mine on Sado Island during the Edo Period, an important source of wealth for the Tokugawa Shogunate. The Doyu-n-wareto outcrop shows where the gold miners followed the vein of gold-bearing ore through the outcrop.
Have a safe and enjoyable trip! Hope the typhoon will miss your island! Looking forward to your videos. Take care.
