Coach Tyler, greetings from India! I’ve just started off with fencing a couple months back, and you have no idea how helpful your videos are turning out for me, besides of course what’s being taught to me at my academy. So thank you, and keep them coming!
    Cheers!

Thank you very much for the video. Personally I preferred this style of video, five repetitions is enough to understand the correct form of doing the drills, while at the same time considerably reducing the production time for you.
With regards to ideas about future videos, I have a few:
I would really appreciate a video showing some basics of holding the epee (very much like this one) what I mean is where movements should be coming from ie. fingers rather than wrist, not leaning forward, positioning of weapon while en garde, etc. Your videos have helped me realize that I have many basics not quite right and fixing them leads to massive improvements.
Along the same lines. How about one where you discuss the common mistakes you see in your students. I'm sure everyone here is bound to share more than one of those.
Also, a follow up to this video where you explain what angle is ideal for what. ie. which one may be best to counter what style, what body part you'd normally be aiming at with which angle or things along those lines.
Further on. A similar video to this one with parries and/or defensive techniques would also be superb.
Once again, thank you for taking the time to make this and your other videos. They make a big difference to those of us without access to private classes.
    Keep up the good work.

I've been looking for an exercise I can do at home. Then I discovered these videos. I did four semesters of fencing (foil/sabre) in college many years ago. These blade work drills are a good home workout! I practice my perry-ripostes, lunges, foot-work, etc. in my living room. There is no fencing club near me for instruction, so I have no one to fence with (besides I'm old, 64). But I can do these drills at home. I have hung up a tennis ball I can poke at to improve my aim and point control. This is giving me exercise and I'm having fun. Thank you!

Hello Coach Tyler. I just basically started yesterday, Oct. 30, 2023. I live in Kansas and I'm at K-State at the K-State Fencing Club. My Instructor is Coach Todd. I'm starting out with the foil. I would like to see the full training version, where you do the full training segments with us.

Keep at it! Fencing is a very complex sport that makes high demands of you both physically and mentally. It can take some time to train your mind and body to react properly. Everyone looses a lot when the first start. Stay positive, keep learning and having fun and I'm sure you will stat seeing positive results soon!

Hi coach.. while doing targeting we don't have to follow lines of attack.. as if we virtually think or assume then the high outside line of ours 'll be the high inside line of the opponent..
