Thank you. I have received teaching continuously now. It doesn't lack every day and teaching has been received from several hour teacher. It is a nearly every day though has already become four years.
She is brilliant. And the music terrific. I almost can see the clouds. It looks like there isn't Qi stagnation. A real connection with heaven and earth
Hi Junko Very nice move. I've been practising Yang, Cheng man chin and a bit of Chen as well. It would be good to have a chat with you when visiting in Japan. Don't worry about the negative comments from those who think they know all. It seems they don't know the most important thing in martial arts....it is to respect others. Keep up the good work!!
You can see her movements are chi-guided, a core part of taichi and her flow is very spontaneous. This is the soul of taichi. All good things belong to all human beings. Do not localize or confine them. Let one hundred flowers bloom! She is, to me, a very excellent taichi master!
she is graceful and smooth, very nice! i agree with mojamadabdula - she has chi. as long as you have chi, you understand taichi. but i would suggest her to relax her shoulder and bum a little bit more. it will help chi flowing smoothly from dantian to the legs and the arms.
I'm referencing Tai Chi on RUclips for my pleasure mainly. I've seen lots of routines. In your case the choice of the music is great and befits your excellence, personality and approach. I'm not a specialist but the fluidity of your moves is inspiring and some of the transitions between forms are sometimes very original. A jaw-dropping, awe- inspiring, gentle mood- inducing, execution.
@cvbnm20071 actually her focus should be waist movement, of which there isn't any in this video. This is purely Tai Chi. There is no Taijiquan in this demonstration. There are 3 elements to Taijiquan: 1. The Martial aspect 2. The Qi building/Health aspect 3. The Spiritual aspect It appears as if this is missing the martial aspect entirely. Though it is a nice dance.
Beautiful music and beautiful movement! smooth and flowing perfectly. It was my very first time to see Tai Chi this GOOD. Junko can you tell me how long have you been doing this forms? Arigato xx
Your style is beautiful while different, but people want to measure you with a stick! Your Tai Chi is beautiful and this video is very interesting - how was the smooth, gliding camera movement achieved?
Tai Chi chuan is ANY routine or sequence that corresponds with several demands and principles of Taiji chuan. What about fighting applications somebody may find it hidden in slow fluid movements and perform quickly and in his favorite variation. I have found 6-8 hidden possibilities in EACH form of 24 or 85 form both Yang and Chen styles... With respect...
In term of taichi as pure smooth flow she deserves an "A"! In term of a chain movement from the feet to the fingers and rolling without bending some principles are violated but she did it beautifully!
Taichi stresses principle such as axis and rotation and center of gravity and chi guidance. They are all there in her movement. Naturally, we all have different expressions. Regardless of her nationality. she has done well. Art knows no race or nationality ! Be broad-minded ! I like her taichi!
With all do respect the 24 form has many variations. Every family in china that practices it has its own version. The great late Wang Zi Ping had a totally different version of the 24 form than Chen Sitan, and he was a national hero! With a lot of circular hand movements. This doesn't mean that this is better or worst. By the way the national Champion may change the form if he needs to make it more gracious for the competition. So before u comment do your investigation.
@ccktj When you are so good, minor deviations from standard become parts of her perfection. Taichi does ot have to be uniform but her chi-flow is super!
Well since every one else is. This is my walla walla.. Her moves are graceful and the expression is clear. Its great. I love it. But it has not got. "if one part of the body moves, all parts move. If one part of the body stops, all parts stop" or "force is directed through the feet, developed in the legs, controlled by the waist and functions through the hands." She could not practice this with speed and power. anyways. **** 7 out of 10 :) Very nice performance, good vid too
@ccktj She is not doing Yang Taichi in a textbook style. Two of my church ministers, one from Canada and the other from the Unites States, were preaching among high school students in Taiwan. I used to stay with them. They were among the most wonderful people I ever knew. Then the separated sadly because one thought not every word in the Bible was from God while the other opposed to that, This lady put lots of her flow and imagination into Yang Taichi.
Your good how long have you been doing it? And please say you dont listin to that music when you do your form and did you pick up any kungfu from this form
@ccktj Yes, but more like an evolution and langauge evolves slowly, and the recent change in China stands on shaky ground. I did see the " '鸟‘ " in Junko's taichi. She is quite a girl. We Chinese tend to stick to the original. We can afford some slght change as well. I mean tolerate it. I was in Beijing 3 times this past year and saw all sorts of form at Tian-tan park. Love that!
the form can look many different way! that why they have many other form by many different master... use the principles that will always remain the same...
@ccktj We should all follow rules. I agree ith that. But taichi is in reality an art rather than a science. Art does allow spontaneous outbursts of individual creativity. As I watched her movement I could feel my own chi was following her movement. I do not think everybody should break rules but this one is good.
@ccktj It is a meditative type of taichi. I think she was trying to harmonize meditation and chi and express then through the movement. I did write and ask her.
@ccktj This is great advice. I pracise taichi daily and realize that your advices are essential and important, reflecting your personal achievement. Meanwhile, please realize that she has developed a style of her own.
@mojamadabdula hello there, you seem to know alot, how do you tell if someone has "chi" in their taichi? you said she has it, like how can you tell from this video ? how many years does it take for someone to develop their "first chi" ? why do you need to practice these "forms" - are these physical "basic forms" set up and designed by the old masters to help a person to most efficiently develop their chi flows ?
@ccktj I think whatever we do, we are constantly defining and redefining even on what we are supposed to follow. We are not copy machines that can duplicate and the world is more beautiful if we establish our individualism even in following rules. I do not know anybody can verbalize and categorize the souces of taichi's benefit. It is a harmonizing process from which perspective she is ok to me. Take the dreamy part of of taichi, taichi is as dull as army drills. Give her a thumb!
@ccktj My Ph.D. emphasis is on 19th-century Romantic poetry in which the concept of "spontaneous outburst" is stressed to reflect the ancient Chinese creative period of " allowing one hundres flowers to bloom". This is the foundation of human intellectual advancement. I think her movements are fluent and beautiful and something inside her is being released through the smoothy fluenncy that has broken the "bar" of rules and regulation which are cornerstones for huma mediocrity.
When you really know tai chi the rules don't apply - the only thing that matters is chi - the form is for beginners - when you master the form the chi is there in any position - this person has chi
This is a Japanese 24 Taichi dance forms i think. Someone told me,the Japanese copy everything good from everywhere(especially from China)and try to invent again to make such thing better, which is in some case has turned out as a mess like this Japanese Taichi. Taichi is Yoga in movements, supposed to be born out of the same philosophy. Both Taichi and Yoga had been created by Yogis or ascetics who left the confused world and went to live in the forests. They knew both body and mind,so they created certain excercises to enhance perfect body and the mind. My grand master of Taichi always correct minute details of each Taichi posture. When I asked,he explained,Taichi is the art forms of excercise. It has been created, refined, tested for thousands of years. This is not common physical excercise. Taichi has combinded coordination, breathing, mind, brain, awareness, maditation,Chi, etc. togather at the same time. I think It is pricarous to create dance Taichi of this Japanese lady.
@ccktj If there is a science and I believe it is, then it is not as clear as Biology 101. The overwhemng evidence shows that art overshadows science in taichi or they harmonized into each other as Yin and Yang. Like the Chinese characters, there are standard forms but aberrations do exist following the essence and spirit and they enrich and enhance rather than distort or degenerate.
It is not a good idea to take Chen Sitan as the standard of Taichi. That is mixed up the "Sport", as what Sitan did, and traditional Taichi martial art, like many other senior masters.
@ccktj She is missing "essence" as perceived by you, a taichi master. So you would not do it her way or teach others to do likely. But the essence in an art can not be defined by a certain person. We all feel "love" but Lord Byron and William Shakespeare or Shelley and Keats do not express it the same way.
Soft, highly controlled, rhythmic and beautiful; unique in her own way!
Chi dominates her form and it is excellently done. In term of internal flow, this is A-plus!
She's gorgeous.
such a young girl got into TaiChi, that's respects.
The video and the music is very amazing. So mystical !!
Junko, I love your form and style...I can actually see the flow of energy~~~Very beautiful!
I love this video! the music is great, and her form is beautiful....
Hi Junko
Very nice move. I've been practising Yang, Cheng man chin and a bit of Chen as well. It would be good to have a chat with you when visiting in Japan.

I think that it is a quality from the period. I learn it from the teacher about four every day of year.
Thank you.
absolutely beautiful movement!

Hi, I'm back to see your again after so many years, hope you're doing great!
This is the wonderful Japanese Taichi that Keanu Reeves said. really wonderful. it's very beautiful.and the music is great,
Delicioso y muy original. Excelente presentación !!
Substance breaks conformity to forms. Very creative!
Graceful !I can almost hear her chi flow !
Beautiful music and beautiful movement! smooth and flowing perfectly. It was my very first time to see Tai Chi this GOOD. Junko can you tell me how long have you been doing this forms? Arigato xx
Watch her again tonight. Beautiful!
Thanks for posting this beautiful video. I miss Tai Chi Chuan, Yang Style.

This is the best 24 form I ever seen. That is way better than those champions from China, who had not capture the essence of Taichi.
agree! i practice ying yee, a little ba gua and taichi in hk.
Beautifully done! I'm a beginner of taichi. =)

Hey to the ones that say that she's dancing...she have 362 suscribers that like how she "dances"....Don't it means something?...Junko, keep working!!
I Like ❤️

Wonderful
she was just moving slowly, you can say she was doing anything but taichi.what we see now is not taichi at all.
Does someone knows which musician plays this?
Super danke schön!
very nice~

Ahh,,,and one great Martial Arts said something like this: ....You may express yourself through the martial experience...Bruce Lee?
Video ha omoshiroi to omoimasu. Ippai renshu shiteiru mitai desu. (Pasocon ga nihon no ji ga nai kara romaji de sumimasen.)
@ccktj

wtat a nice and harmonious girl! like in fairytale! h-m-m-m...
that's a taichi dance not taichi as a self defence martial arts
Something about your feet.. or a lot about them. Hands are not relaxed and positure is uneven. Not relaxed enough!
Well, if you learn taichi, you would know she has broken all the rules ... knees over toes...
It is not a good idea to take Chen Sitan as the standard of Taichi. That is mixed up the "Sport", as what Sitan did, and traditional Taichi martial art, like many other senior masters.
She was dancing instead of Kung Fu!
great shi
古式, 古法 can be of anything they say so, in fact, that's not the thing of standardized form “24 式太極拳”.
love
no wrong action

she should to learn form Sitan. This is not standerd taiji 24.
