    Year round open water fishing in Michigan now I love it! Used to ice fish but we only get a week or two of safe ice now

      We only have a week or two of safe ice here on Erie as well. I love open water but it sucks that we don't really get an ice fishing season .

      They were all legitimately caught fish. Hooks fly around in the net, on the floor of the boat and when fish are being faught. Especially with stinger hooks.

    How did you prepare those fish for eating?

    I assume you are fishing the Canadian side of the St Clair River.

    • @AverieRose
      @AverieRose  10 месяцев назад

      Yeah Canadian side only on this trip. No slot size which is nice.

    How can you be using live minnows on the Canadian side

    • @AverieRose
      @AverieRose  10 месяцев назад +2

      You can use live bait if they are caught from the same fish and wildlife management zone. We bought them from a place that catches them locally.

      Anybody that knows the river absolutely fishes that spot and directly across on US side. It’s not a secret to the seasoned fisherman that those spots heat up very early in the season. Good job girl, you had the hot stick that’s for sure!

    So you know, fish that arent hooked in the mouth are considered snagged and keeping snagged fish isnt legal 😂 i think you threw a couple in the box that were foul hooked. If your videoing your fishing for the world to see, might wanna know the rules.

    • @AverieRose
      @AverieRose  10 месяцев назад +6

      All of our fish were caught legally. Sometimes when using stinger hooks you only get the stinger in the mouth and the jig flops and also hooks the fish on the outside. Other times the jig falls out of their mouth while you're trying to net the fish, and you end up with the stinger on the outside... and then there are times it just flops around on the floor of the boat while you're trying to remove the fish from the net and the hook can end up anywhere. Nobody was snagging fish in this video and we are well aware of fishing regulations.
