- On this episode of "Ask Dr. J", an employee of a customer writes in to discuss a family member who is dealing with dangerously low platelet levels according to their doctor. The doctor also goes on to tell the family member that supplements won't help and to stop taking them. Wait...what?? Tune in to hear what Dr. J has to say!
What do you recommend for dengue and low platelet count??any supplements which could help immediately...
Thanks
Arabinogalactan I hear helps to increase low platelets. Do a search. Pure Encapsulations is a good company
I started taking vitamin D and my platelets plummeted so fast
My wifes platelets was 15,000 and they gave her platelets and a unit of blood 3 days ago I took her to her dialysis today and then we had to go get her blood work done again today and her platelet count was 13,000 today so there give her more platelets again I'm very worried about her
I was diagnosed with platelets of 16,000 and I'm really frightened. I was just told to stop taking my Leukemia meds and blood thinners and wait 2 weeks and get another blood test. I'll be getting it on Monday but meanwhile I keep having panic attacks.
Please is she OK now? I need where to treat my child.
I like to ask DR J
How to bring high platelets count down naturally?
What is the point of this video without any discussion of what supplementation is available?
We convey that supplementation does not need to stop - we mention high dose ascorbate in this video that could be helpful, but also convey what platelet levels mean and work with a knowledgeable practitioner.
@@DrRussellJaffeAscorbate as in vitamin C?
My granddaughter age 4 yrs has a platelet count of 3 (3000). Rx ITP just given steroids and sent home I am very worried
DX is the abbreviation for diagnosis. RX is abbreviation for prescription. I would be worried too with that low platelet count.
give her lg doses of B12
@@Lauren-vd4qe Do you mean large doses of B12? How does that help ITP? Are there any studies or research you can reference?
yes; look it up; the B vitamins are vital for platelets...no doc will tell u this bc they dont make any money if u dont buy their drugs.@@AquaFrost777
Try giving her honey plus Pomegranate and pumpkin helps.
