First off - massive thanks 🙏 to everyone who's diving into Principled AI Coding. I've packed a ton of value into PAIC for you. Many engineers are already digging in and leveling up. The silent launch has gone very well so far including a few hiccups here and there. Thanks to everyone who's reported bugs. If you're running into issues, click 'Report an issue'. I'm not sleeping until I fix every issue I can for you. If there's something you want to see in PAIC that you don't, click 'Ask a question' and let me know. Mobile support rolls out soon. Desktop is first prio. Stay focused and keep building. - idd
Thank you to you! You are the best channel on the subject so far, I've learned so much that it created a passion AND I got a job in that domain last thursday thanks to you! You are the goat of agentic engineer. I recommend you to everyone who talks about this with me.
Nice video! Somehow this whole ai coding wave managed to transform coding from a an engineering discipline to an activity that to me feels a bit more like alchemy. Even when I take the exact same steps in my workflow, I get wild differences in quality of output with no clear reason why.
What is your experience with how Aider handles medium-larger projects? I am currently using Cursor to help develop my 100+ script, 15+kloc project and am wondering how Aider would handle it.
Hey is the course suitable for a beginner level programmer? I've been learning the the fundamentals of Python, HTML & CSS since August, since the idea of leveraging the power of AI to create software excites me, hence how i found my way here lol.
This was the quickesr purchase I've ever made. Excited to get started! Quick question though - how does aider compare to tools like windsurf and cursor?
👍👍 Lots of great information is waiting for you. We're definitely due for a windsurf video on the channel. The key difference between Aider and most tools but Cursor + Windsurf especially is that Aider is THE foundational form of all AI coding assistant. It gives you full control over the context, model, prompt, costs, configuration and much much more.
That's quite a bit of upfront heavy lifting to write out your detailed spec. I find it's more efficient to just iterate with something like Cursor or Windsurf. I guess if you already had a spec then this workflow would make more sense.
Hi, I found that Flash 2.0 Reasoning is better for planning and critiquing and Experimental 1206 is better for coding. Perhaps you could try Experimental 1206 vs Claude 3.5 Sonnet?
Bought the course immediately. You are providing a tonne of value. Looking forward to doing the full course when I’m at my desk in the new year. THANK YOU! You are one of five channels I follow religiously.
Love your channel man!!! I'm laying the groundwork to develop a powerful chatbot and knowledge base for market analysis! 💡 The goal is to combine AI with trading expertise, using vector embeddings and automated workflows to process books and PDFs into actionable insights. This system will help analyze trends, create strategies, and decode market behavior-all while prepping for eventual local hosting.

You're walking your own path and taking us on the journey for free. I'll be buying your course and look forward to seeing it.
Hands down the best AI/Coding Channel out there, fantastic work!
IndyDevDan and AICodeKing are my go to channels for this
I will be buying this course simply on the basis of the value this channel has already provided. 🐐
I absolutely love this channel!! No hype just loads of information!!
No hype ?
😂 Really?
The "juice" might be with gemini-2.0-flash-thinking-exp-1219. It's the model for the /architect mode
Is exp-1219 better than 1206?
I was about to say the same, even with the thinking and the exp model, not the only flash model.
Flash is more Google hype. Try Flash after you run out of Claude requests and prepare to be irritated.
Thankyou. That was a great 30 minutes of my life. Intriguing and captivating to learn from an expert. Ill be joining today.

NGL I'm always excited to see new videos from you.
When are you starting a skool?
This is an excellent video. Thank you very much for making this.
What is your experience with how Aider handles medium-larger projects?
I am currently using Cursor to help develop my 100+ script, 15+kloc project and am wondering how Aider would handle it.
Try Gemini 1206 as well.
1206 is smarter than flash 2

Love your Chanel im gonna check the course. Is it accessible if I don’t have coding experience?

Considering that the flash series is in the mini/haiku class, I’m impressed.
Is the price covers all the modules in the course or we need to pay again to unlock the modules ?
One price - 8 videos.
Start with every beginner lesson unlocked.
Unlocks for lessons 4-8 happen at 50% watch time of the previous lesson.
BEST OF THE BEST AS USUAL. thank you
I'm surprised you didn't get throttled using Gemini Flash. I tried it in Cline and couldn't get much done as it kept throttling.
That's quite a bit of upfront heavy lifting to write out your detailed spec. I find it's more efficient to just iterate with something like Cursor or Windsurf. I guess if you already had a spec then this workflow would make more sense.
I would like to see you use Gemini as the architect and Claude as the editor
Is mistral able to keep up?
Do you teach us how to build Ada or our own Ai developer assistant?
I had a real world Cypher SQL coding task. Flash was a total fail. It couldn't do postgresql and just kept apologizing. Claude saw a complete pro.
you got the blustering scammer cadence down perfectly. using so many words without saying anything.
you must try the experimental versions. they are mind blowing
December 2024: Era of Rolling Releases of AI tools and services 😅
hello Dan, I am not getting any video, only audio.. not sure of others, please take a look. Thanks!
I meant, in the course. I bought the course and I have only audio. Excited for this.
Investigating your issue Kalyan. Thank you for letting me know.

this mans a hero
Bought the course for a cheap and valuable price.
Thank you
I think Gemini 1206 is higher on the leaderboards, and it's also free.
Post payment redirects to local host BTW!
Fix rolling out - thank you
Aider is fantastic but it's a lot harder to use than Cline
Shut up and take my money!
✅
very cool but the portal is very buggy and there is no community or chat. can you create a telegram chat at least?
You're probably on mobile/tablet (lmk if not). Non-desktop rolling out soon.
Bought the course immediately.

@@indydevdan on macbook seems to be working now

nevermind just saw it 😎
@@gustavl3638where did you see it?

the waving of the (your) hands behind what your showing everyone, is just far to distracting
Time spent on making those bs prompt would have made 10 tasks if done manually with just code completion.
(if you are not a script kiddy)
SIR you are one of the best showing us path to follow. Thank you very much for everything you are doing 🥰🥰🙏🏼🙏🏼❤❤🕊🕊🪻
