Patrolling in a car you don't see anything, foot patrol is the key to seeing what's going on in the areas that a camera can't see and areas not lighted well, been there done that, worked housing properties for 30 of my 40 plus years in the security field, mixed housing, senior buildings, HOAs, etc. one man or sometimes two men patrol, been a night shift supervisor also in the past, and the night shift is what I do always because you know who should be there at this time..
