Why is everyone obsessed over the fact that Fabianski can see the ball? His view of the ball isn't what's obstructed, his view of Kilman is obviously obstructed and so Chirewa was deemed to be interfering with play. Whether you think the goal should stand or not, the reason why the decision was made isn't exactly difficult to grasp

Even among those decisions which are corrected there will be a lot of cancelling out with some going for a team and some going against. Clubs then realise that the whole thing is not worth the vast sums of money they are paying for it and the gravy train for the officials comes to an end. Wolves, Forest and Burnley have been screwed with decisions this season. If something happens to Liverpool or United or one of the big teams it’s news for a month. This nonsense happens to the ‘smaller’ teams every week and no one bats an eyelid.

Anyone with half a brain, should've realised VAR would never work because apart from offside everything is subjective. The one thing it normally gets right is offside but even that we feel cheated by, we wanted VAR to get those offsides that were so egregiously wrong, a yard onside or 2 yards off but now we get 5mm offside as if that would've prevented the majority of these goal. This one its highly unlikely Fabianski will save it but the fact he is standing there in front of Fabianski he is interfering by simply being there, under the rules it does tick the boxes, yep don't want it given against me but want it given for me. We've changed the rules of the game to implement VAR and make it quicker, apart other sports adding a referral rule, none have changed the actual playing laws of the sports to implement their review systems. Football is unique at the speed it moves and the immediate direction changes it has ove the 3 dimensions, as long as we have subjective rules VAR will NEVER work constantly , and the rules will always be subjective in the main!

So what we gonna do then -- just keep talking about it - this season has been a joke and there is no accountability so the refs ain’t bothered - have you noticed sky presenters have stopped critising referees - it’s clear carragher and co have been warned by the bosses to stop ref criticism - I noticed it with the doku challenge at Liverpool the 4 pundits were the only people who didn’t think it was a pen - sky belong in Russia or North Korea they bully their employees and actually do carry up their threats ask Matt LeTissier and dozens of others - shameful have to come on RUclips now to get the truth

Why talk about that one incident. The penalty wolves got was controversial as was Emersons goal that was controversially dissallowed. On balance the result still stands. I'm West Ham and tbh they had to give Emerson as a foul as he impeded the defenders ability to make a challenge, it was soft but because it leads to goal then they have to give it. It's the same for their disallowed goal, he's offside, standing 1 foot directly in front of the keeper so not only could he be impeding his vision he is also blocking a direct path for Fabianski to have made the decision to come out and challenge for the ball in the air. They had to give it wether Fabianki could have saved it or not.
