As much I would LOVE to see her in Olympics, I think she made the right decision. The race for Olympic is physically and emotionally damaging, as we could see on “Over The Limit”. You have to be mentally and physically healthy and strong to pass trough all this training, and you can’t do this while you’re fighting against an eating disorder, especially on a sport that requires that you be as skinny as possible. This would destroy her. There are things in life that worth more than an Olympic Spot. We can’t blame her for choosing herself. I’m glad that now, she can do her treatment right, without the ghost of Olympics haunt her. All my love to her and wish she recovers ❤️
I will miss Soldatova so much. She was such an amazing performer and I hoped I would see her at the Olympics. She was one of the reasons I watched rg. With the new rules that have been implemented , its a pain to watch the boring performances. But I am happy that she is talking about her eating disorder openly and putting her health first which many gymnasts refuse to do. Best of luck to Sasha on her new journey!
I knew this was going to happen. She took a lot of time away from the gym during her recovery. Thank you Sasha for all the years you put into this sport. She helped me love this sport more. I wish her well. Glad to see she’ll still be active in the gymnast fields.
Sasha will be so missed! Truly a gem 💎 She has been through so much I am excited to see what she will do next. A star like her won’t stay out of the spotlight for long ✨
What a soldier!! Soldatova’s Soldiers!! Saddened but excited to see what the future holds for her! Thank you for your passionate performances, in one of the most demanding sports. You are one of the best, and your career is insanely impressive! Hello from Los Angeles... much love
Of course I wish her the best in health and happiness! I have watched her compete for years...she was always one to watch! What a great performer and competitor! I’m thinking she’ll be greatly missed but sometimes it’s just that time in one’s career. There were things she did that I would’ve thought weren’t physically possible. I really think she has left her mark. It’s not at all like she came and went and you wouldn’t really remember her. I think she’ll be remembered in the sport for decades! PEACE!!
She is and will be always be a wonderful woman... her life no longer defined by her weight and performances. All well-thinking people will wish her well and affirm her Good in the right place.. One Love . (Jamaica)
Even before her eating disorders got public, Averina s twins were the chosen for Olympics, very sad for her. I would wish Lala take a place for the Olympics but Averina s are the Viner favourites

She is such a special person. This video is a fitting tribute to the best modern gymnast.

Who is the other gymnast who needed to withdrawn from the Olympics because of an eating disorder?
Olatz Rodriguez from Spain, she stopped because of Anorexia. Not sure, if she ever have gotten into olympics though....
