Zero was not dead in the water as early as Tastetosis thought in game 1. His drone count was not that much lower. The spire was going to be much earlier for Hyuk, but in these instances, the other zerg just has to hold against mutas with spores and then he's ahead since he's up a hatch and a base. If he can not die, he's ahead. That's why you see zergs stay in the game in these situations since it's not totally hopeless. You're hoping for some mismicro for the zerg with mutas and one hatch. Zero's ling micro just wasn't as good as Hyuk here.

He's not wrong, defilers delete entire muta swarms with plague and ultras do beat everything under dark swarm, lings deal very little dmg to them and lurkers MURDER lings
Zerg players hate mirror matches. TvT and PvP is interesting but Zerg is best against anything other than Zerg. Terran you can go ling>muta or lurker>swarm or Ultra>swarm with plague cause you have so many counters. Protoss you can go ling>hydra then hydra>lurker or even muta>guardian which is fun seeing guardians and hydras. Zerg you got ONE option... ling muta. That's it.
