Sadly got there late, and due to me being an introvert also I didn’t get a chance to meet you, but thank you for putting on such a good meet and thank you for coming to Ontario! Hope to see you back again in the future.
The Straight Pipes seem like the chillest guys in the car world to hang with, glad they helped you out, and I appreciate you coming clean about how you feel at large gatherings. I also feel overwhelmed by large gatherings, its settling to hear you talk about it too.
If you do come to Vancouver you will see a lot of JDM cars, they get imported into the port in Vancouver all the time and there seems to be a lot of interest in them around the area. If you like R33 and R34 GT-Rs then that's the place to go. But also lots of the little Kei trucks, Delicas, and other weird right hand drive cars.

I got the biggest kick out of this video...you describing what it's like to be an introvert that makes his living in the public eye. I've heard myself say those same things in my own head countless times.

13:07 that engine was made for the Latin American market, it was made by autolatina which was a fusion between vw and ford from 87 to 95. Its called AP Alta Performance (high performance in Spanish) and it power a bunch of cars, Brazilians have a huge after market for it. It came in 1.6/1.8 and 2liter, with carbs, and throttle body injection, and multi point injection. Those engines where sold in cars from Brazil,Uruguay, Chile, Bolivia, Paraguay and my beautiful Argentina. In Argentina Autolatina discontinued the Argentinian vercion of the ford falcon in 1991, and it was a shame for us, you need to find someone who knows Latin America car culture, you will enjoy it, cheers from Argentina.
Awwww man!!! I'm so bummed out that I missed this. I haven't gone to one of those Mississauga car meets in years. I would have loved to meet Mr. Regular. SW20 MR2 owner, I could have rounded up a bunch of guys from the Ontario MR2 Club. Mr. Regular, please come back to Southern Ontario again. Maybe Niagara Falls if you're looking for a change of scenery - they used to have great car meets down there every weekend in the summer (I haven't gone in years, so not sure if it continues to this day).
There was another restored Delorean at the meet. The owner actually has a business that fully restores them to original (or not) spec. Fantastic stuff.
Justin Wells of Wells Restoration in Milton Ontario. He also hosts the premier 80s / 90s car show every year here called Oblivion. He's an awesome dude.
European single fog lamps (both front and rear (mandatory)). The idea is, as you approach vehicle through fog, you first see single fog light and later you going spot the rest of the lights (in pair), so you recognize it is a car not a motorcycle. Many smaller european cars have single rear fog light left and single reverse light in the same place but right side.
Thanks for sharing the footage. I know what you mean about the oddness of being watched. I tried acting at Downingtown High (Chester County PA) and it wasn’t for me. The ambient sounds in this video added a lot I think in a gestalt kind of way.
Just for your guy's knowledge... Those Marauder headlights are aftermarket headlights built custom by Panther Lights. One of the very few aftermarket park makers for the Panther body cars!
That van is nice piece of creativity, but can we see review on German Shepard Special Black edition. How much borks per a good boy does it have? What kind of fuel does it run on? Why is GPS system failing when it sees a squirrel? Why is differential on this dogs weak point? And last, what is cultural impact of this goodest boy?!
I'm very sad I didn't keep up to date and realize there was a Toronto meet. I would have brought down my family's '02 Eldorado ETC Collectors Edition, which was the first collectors edition sold in Canada. Maybe next time!

That weird slime is the plasticizers leeching out of the vinyl over time. They used to use too much plasticizer in the vinyl color masterbatches to disperse the color and get flow in the compounding machines; as plastic/chemical technology improved they could reduce the amount of plasticizers (because plasticizers just basically emulsify all the binders, filler and color in the vinyl, they don't actually fully chemically bond them together). Which means, early "pleather" or vinyl in cars from the 80s used more plasticizer (which basically faked it `til you made it) than necessary to process it and only over long periods of time would that extra plasticizer leech out which usually at that point most cars would be EOL. As advances in plastic chemical additive technology progressed and better process technology, you could reduce the amount of plasticizer to make the vinyl with the same amount (or even less) additives, filler and colors because the additives did a better job of dispersion and formed a more complete chemical bond which formed an actual soluble mixture than an emulsion (plus better processing techniques). Anyway, that weird slimy unctuous film on old 80s vinyl is leeching plasticizer.
