She loves her Job, she choose to listen to her friend's advice which was a mistake and attempted to come clean when it was too late. She wasn't even in love with her ex, she wasn't really sad when he broke up with her, all i saw was relief and even when she started pursuing the ML she tried as much as possible to avoid the fake niece, she did not flaunt her relationship, meaning it wasn't about revenge, she really liked him. In the novel it describes their characters some more. Shuyi battles with herself and gets intimidated by Shiyan scary look (he’s nicer in the drama) and she’s timid when it comes to relationships. If someone was to block me and don’t want to see me when I tried two other times, I’d be very emotional and distract myself or not bring this up to not breakdown which is what she was doing in front of him. Also shows timing is always a factor in relationships, both making an effort changes everything which is what they do in the end. Beautiful drama!

I could see that the writer is a more mature. This is part of life. The more you love the person, that person has more power to hurt you. She only made an excuse to use work to meet him. Yet, it made him more angry, even us the viewers. But, life is like that. We love people who share different personalities than us. Ppl should properly communicate. This is the real drama. For one: We all get how bad Shi Yan is hurting. Yet he gave her no hope and stopped communicating after cutting her short in the last episode.
So my question: Why does everyone keep blaming only Shu Yi when Shi Yans communication in every way also seems to be lacking?
Shu Yi deserved what she had coming, but I wouldn't say Shi Yan is communicating he wants an explanation in any way? And his behaviour he gives her already shows her the attitude like they broke up.
Shu Yi knows she was wrong, but doesn't think he wants to hear her out or forgive her. So why try? She gave up hope on 4 seems.
Also, like some people said: this why mixing work with pleasure is a no-go.
And what Shi Yan did like cutting the collaboration doesn't make his behaviour any better.
Shu Yi should have apologised before if he had shown he wanted an explanation and apologies. However, him cutting all collaboration off before is a wrong move if he even wants to go back together with her at all?
Especially since this could bring trouble to both of their companies?
Both parties are hurting here.
