I think all Xenoblade fans got emotional watching the trailer with that music, we haven't even played the game yet, but you can tell that song is going to be played at a special moment in the game.
The opening trailer is how you do a story-only trailer. But in the complementary way, it feels like a movie trailer but a well-edited trailer to a high-quality emotional action-filled anime movie.
Honestly, I think this game's tone will be like Torna, except 10 times "worse" :D So excited. Also, I totally expect the 2023-DLC story to be a prequel that shows how all the XB1- and XB2-characters died in the past >_> Monolith Soft: We make people cry
I feel like it might show a bit of X1 and X2 teams as older characters in flashbacks but have the story focus on Melia/Nia trying to move forward after their friends are gone. Like they're struggling with the looming issues of X3 while keeping their friends' advice and memories present in their decisions. That way we see how they slowly came to become the way they are in X3.
@@sentoworf I don’t think that is it because this extra story will likely play like Xenoblade 3 but slightly tweaked like Torna and Future Connected were related to their base games. You would need 6 to 7 characters to do Xenoblade 3’s combat, and Ouroboros fusions. My theory is that Shulk and Rex’s parties were the first Ouroboros pairings. It seems pretty perfect to have a core party of 6 comprised of Shulk, Rex, Fiora, Pyra, Melia, Nia and a few heroes in the form of the rest of the party(like Reyn and Zeke and Morag and Dunban etc) in both games and some blades and prominent Xenoblade 1 side characters like Tyrea. I doubt that Monolith is going to miss a chance to throw all of the characters from 1 and 2 together in their own epic crossover game, that would sell craploads of Xenoblade 3 and the dlc alone.
spent 92 hours to beat gears (I'm slow), the game is not the best, but the story is unbeatable saga I didn't had the balls to play and just watched the cutscenes, still is +20h of cutscenes not counting the text and anime
One of the appeal of XCX was the mech traversal, we see a boat for sea travel, hopefully there's fun ways to travel around the world, I really hope it takes queues from the world design and scope of XCX while maintaining the story everything else.
That's not true Amiibos use the kind of nfc that isn't rewriteable so if you have a shulk amiibo used for smash you can only overwrite it with shulk but at a different level or configuration I tried writing my inkling amiibo with something else and it doesn't work, only a different data of the same amiibo works
@@dirtydirtsgt4751 before say bullshits try to do things by yourself. Bye, kid.
@@orvoloco8261 i know, i used tagmo I don't know how you did that but the amiibos use NTAG215 which isn't rewriteable Unless your amiibo is different or you didn't get what i said, you can only rewrite the same character You can't change an inkling to shulk You can change a wolf link with one heart to 20 Jumping to conclusions and act smart by calling other people a kid makes you look like the kid instead though
So there taking a mechanic from FF5 and using it has there own, how original. The game is years older but you can have over 30 jobs level them up and you can take 2 or 3 classes and mix them together. Like a Black mage that can also use White mage spells.
FFV has been disected apart by other games cause of its Job system and then forgotten in the trash and yeah the director of Xenoblade worked on Field Graphics on V.

...Do you not like ANY of the characters from those games??
Monolith has always done that from Xenogears to Xenosaga.
I hope the story in this game beats xenogears and xenosaga
I really need to play those games :(

Doubtful, beating XBC2 though should be easily obtainable.
That's a pretty low bar... lol
Hearing the Uraya theme afer clicking on this video = instant chills and feels.
Ability to change characters mid battle is a big takeaway from this!
I'm ready for this game to rip my heart out and stomp on it. But tbh I wouldn't want it any other way.

It really looks like it at least

Don’t open the amiibo! Just make an NFC tag/card thing
You can modify (hack) ANY Amibo data.
So you can use any amibo to be a Shulk one. Its not hard.

The director of the Xenoblade series worked on Final Fantasy V back when he was at Square so technically it was also his own.
On top of what the other comment said this was also a feature in Xenoblade Chronicles X and has been in plenty of other RPG's. What's the big deal?
