You've just listened to one of the greatest love songs ever! This was written and produced by Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, who were on fire in the '80s. Force M.D.'s are huge Michael Jackson fans so he inspired those amazing vocals. My recommendation would be their song "Love Is A House."
I was a Jr. in High School. What great memories this song brings back. You couldn't miss when you played this joint. Shout out to Harlem's own Force MDs....
I'm so glad the younger generation is listening to the "Oldies" AKA "Goodies" and appreciate GREAT music! Because the stuff that's out there now, is NOT it! They sang about what real love is and how to treat a woman! Young women and men please wake up. This is it >TENDER LOVE!!! You deserve this kind of love ❤️
Another dope Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis produced track!! The Force MDs are one of the first groups (UTFO, New Edition, Whistle) that started to mix R&B with Hip Hop in the music industry. Some more tite songs from them are: Love Is A House, Take Your Love Back, Couldn't Care Less, Walking On Air, Tears, Here We Go Again, Touch And Go & Forgive Me Girl.
YOUNG LADY : THIS SCENE, IS FROM THE FILM " KRUSH GROOVE " -------I BELIEVE, 1985 ? ONLY ONE MEMBER OF THE GROUP IS STILL WITH US. ---------80'S SOUL, AT IT'S VERY, FINEST. ----------COMPOSED BY JIMMY JAM & TERRY LEWIS, FROM THE '85 FILM . RIP, TO ALL FMD'S WHO HAVE PASSED. YES, IT'S A " ONE HIT WONDER ", BUT WHAT A ONE HIT ! ---------------MJL, 77 Y/O
I had my first dance with the boy I had a crush on for a long time. My hands were sweating and I felt so shy. He drew me closer and I just remember this song playing. It takes me back to this moment when I felt so alive, and nervous and happy. I was 16 years old. My first love, dancing at the school dance in the gymnasium.
Tender Love - Will always be a beautiful song, from 1980s. PERFECT HARMONY, PERFECT MELODY, BEAUTIFUL PIANO KEYS. PERFECT LYRIC. FORCE MD'S KILLED IT. 👍👍👍
The band was originally named The L.D.s, and then became the Force MCs, due to their Hip Hop roots, ultimately they settled on the name The Force MDs, MD standing for Musical Diversity. The group began performing on Times Square, New York City street corners, and during trips on the Staten Island ferry. After the L.D.s connected with DJ Dr. Rock (Roger Daniels), they then performed as "Dr. Rock & the Force MCs." The group was discovered by hip hop promoter Vansilk in summer 1981. The three members were Dr. Rock, Stevie D., and Mercury. In collaboration with Dr. Rock, the group continued to perfect their unique sound, which was unusual at the time: a fusion of doo-wop harmonies and hip-hop that involved singing, rapping, and group member's "human beatbox" melodies at underground hip hop shows. They gained even more credibility and respect from local fans after competing in an emcee lyrical battle against the well-known Cold Crush Brothers from the Bronx in 1983.
One of my favorite groups they don’t get enough credit when people talk about groups. They have plenty of good songs you can react too and all just as great as “Tender Love” here are some to name a few “ Tears”, “Love is a House”, “ Here I go again”, “Let me love you down”. TC had the ultimate smooth voice!!! RIP… so happy you reacted to them! Thank you!
I think the keyboard is played by Jimmy Jam, you could use more information on You Tube Music Videos from the musicians, backround singers and producers. Greetings from Heidelberg / Germany
This Song is apart of The Soundtrack of My life.I heard it when Krush Groove came out in the premiere opening.Back in 85'.It's a definite Hip-Hop Ballad. An 80's Iconic Classic for the Ages.
GREAT VIDEO! EVERYTHING THAT COULD BE SAID HAS ALREADY BEEN SAID! R.I.P. TO ALL OF THE ORIGINAL MEMBERS OF THE FORCE M.D.'S WHO ARE NO LONGER WITH US! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
I'm from this time... I remember when they was the Force MC's my best time is when they battle the Cold Crush Brother's and I found some of they show's on RUclips from the Early 80s late 70s
This is one of my all time favorite songs ❤️ this is real music at it's finest 🎶 If you hadn't heard Love You Down by Ready For The World, it is a great song as well
To think ALL of these guys are deceased now. Just terrible. TC, the lead singer, died in 1998. how can a man that you die of ALS is just tragic. Easily the worst kind of death I could imagine outside of being buried alive. So when I listen to this, and I was in high school when this was the song, its two fold. just love the song (as well as Love Is A House which is a classic). but I have sorrow since they all died so young
I like what you doing, I remember slow dragging to that song in the 80's... Can you critique Body heavenly by FULL FORCE, its one of my favorite songs... it's part of the New Jack Swing era.... thanks
Her head is movin but she has the same reaction to every song she hears. Is hard to tell if she’s really in to the music. She seems fake acting like she likes it ,some music maybe she does, but that’s just my opinion.

I never knew Jimmy Jam played piano on this song
Facts!
If it's a great R and B song from the mid-80s to the mid-90s, just assume Terry and Jimmy wrote it!
Truth
One of the greatest r&b songs of all time. Simple yet powerful
Very True
These songs can never ever die
AWESOME 👍 BRINGS BACK GOOD TIME'S CHILD HOOD MEMORIES
Timeless!
Amen.
It's so sad that this kind of quality isn't available to the young people today. Yes, one of the greatest love songs of all time.
I was a Jr. in High School. What great memories this song brings back. You couldn't miss when you played this joint. Shout out to Harlem's own Force MDs....
Amen Harry! I was at CCNY at the time, and this played constantly at the student union.
Freshman year high school, used to call the radio station and dedicate this song to my girlfriend at the time.
Staten Island*

a VERY underrated and TALENTED group. Unfortunately only 1 original member is still alive
They died of natural causes?
This was the love ballad featured in the hiphop dance movie from the 1980s, "Krush Groove".

They just don't make songs like this anymore. 😥 TC had one of the best tenor voices in the business. May he Rest in Peace.
