    When this guinea pig developed a goopy eye, he had to get it checked out! What are your thoughts on Peter's visit to Dr. Pol?

      I think the oh so incredible doctor did a lousy job by not calling her out for the unacceptable conditions the pig is kept in. Subscription lost.

      @Ashley Violet she could have bought a 20 dollar puppy playpen and that would have been 3 times this size

    • @luvella9795
      @luvella9795 3 года назад

      @Ashley Violet she's not a new guinea pig owner. She said she had multiple guinea pigs. She may be a hoarder, a breeder, or she could be attempting to bond him. I don't know. If she can afford to feed multiple guinea pigs, she can afford to make a decent enclosure. This is the smallest enclosure I've ever seen. I would have made a cardboard fence and lined it with some plastic. That would amount to a few dollars. I'll give her credit for bringing him to the vet though.

      @Ashley Violet If you can't afford a big cage then don't buy a guinea pig. Guinea pigs are more of an luxury pet than a dog or a cat. They cost a lot more money and they require specific care so they can flourish and live their best lives. "Some of us can't afford a bigger cage" is no excuse to let a guinea pig suffer. Just don't get one.

    Hey Doc, you are the one who has to tell this lady, that the little guy needs to get company and definitely a much more friendly and bigger place to live in. If not you who than? I would also give up seeing what's around me, if I would live in such a dark container! Greetings from Germany.

    Guinea Pigs are extremely social animals, you should never only have one, by itself, in its enclosure or habitat.
    If you're getting a Guinea Pig, get two Guinea Pigs.
    The difference between having one Guinea Pig and having two Guinea Pigs is negligible, at best.
    Do yourself a favor and get another Guinea Pig, your Guinea Pigs will thank you for it. 👍

    Aren't you not supposed to have only one guinea pig, since they get lonely easily?

      Guineapigs are Herd animals, they do the best or at least it is the most. Humane way to keep them in groups, mostly, 1 male with several females. I actually, keep 2 males with 4 females in a 3 by 1 meter cage.

      I had the same thought exactly, but I also know that some guinea pigs prefer to live alone due to their personality. I just hope for him that's the case and that he got to try to live with other guinea pigs before he ended up all alone.

I want to tell you that you are a lot of good veterinarians. I'm from Greece and I have a dog I can not bring it, I could have brought it. I want to ask you something, Mr. Jan Paul. My dog My dog is 5 years old. About a week ago he ate few, vomited and made a few stools. It was on your show that I saw a dog that had these cheeses you said you had parasites. And my dog probably has a way to help. My parents told me to go.

    Makes me sad how people can put their animals in souch small enclosures. Plus, guinea pigs should live with another guinea pig, its hard to pair them up yes but when you get the right fit it's the best you can do for them. Wish people could do their research before getting an animal..
