    Pro tip: emulsifying in its simplest explanation is mixed two ingredients together that do not typically mix. For example oil and water, and some pastry batters use emulsions
    Anyways this icing and most vinaigrettes are emulsions
    You can either mix something thoroughly for a good emulsion (in the case of cake batter and icing etc.) but for a good thick and creamy vinaigrette I recommend blitzing it together, whole different outcome

    Needed the cake to match your dress, invites, school colors, I was your girl.
    Perfect match every time!
    This one red color was very challenging and had drove me crazy for a couple of days. The white buttercream just would not let it get to a deep enough red. At one point I became very irritated and stuck the emulsion blender in it just to beat the crap out of it. I was about to just throw the whole thing in the trash out of anger when I noticed it had changed into the deep correct red during my fit.😂😂😂
    I spent the next week playing with that blender and seeing how it changed colors for me. LoL

    When you can make your icings taste good and not like dye. I value that. I'm amazed by that. I love that because really only worked around cheaper gel tinted buttercream. And the flavor just proves the makeup of it.

    Does this have charcoal? I'm so used to black foods having charcoal in them, which I can't have because it'll keep my medicine from working.

    • @lilnastyy1604
      @lilnastyy1604 Год назад +1

      It’s the same as normal cocoa just heavily alkalised to give it a darker colour. I’d suggest just asking your doctor if your specific medication can be affected by heavily alkalised food and drink as I know some pills can’t be taken with alkaline waters as it can do the opposite of charcoal and make you absorb too quickly. Though this could just be a case of medicine in the morning, not having the black cocoa til evening to avoid over absorption.
      Hope this helped!

    • @lilnastyy1604
      @lilnastyy1604 Год назад

      Extra comment just for safety, highly acidic foods can also affect the way your body absorbs medicine and one of the main things to avoid is grapefruit so please make sure to look out for that on the box, the medicine information leaflets that come in the box or again, speak to your doctor!
      A lot of foods can just be limited in moderation to avoid interference but for some reason grapefruit is a massive risk when taken life saving or strong medicines.

      @@lilnastyy1604 interesting. I always knew that drinking grapefruit juice with certain medications makes the effects come on really strong, but I didn't know why...

    You can also make black butter cream with black cocoa. I think it was @sugarology that came up with the technique. She makes a sugar syrup then mixes in frozen butter and it emulsifies. And then she gets it even darker with an immersion blender

  • @fallen.embers
    @fallen.embers Год назад +2

    The darkening process however makes the buttercream decrease in volume and causes more stiffness AKA makes it denser. Could make it a bit difficult to pipe as well.
