Just did a binge view of a number of your videos after running across this one. My N scale club here in Australia is also building a triple deck layout in two rooms with a combined area a little more than your basement. We started from the bottom and are working up the levels and after 4 years have the lower level completed with 95% of the scenery in place, and the middle level with all main lines in place and approx 20% of the scenery completed. Still have 3 yards to build. We don't expect to build the top level for another year. So your progress, as a one man layout, is amazing. I look forward to following your progress.
Thanks. It's been quite a project so far! I've been mostly making slow progress, but then have bursts of activity when I have a little more time to focus on the layout and can get more done. Very jealous of the amount of scenery your club has completed! What are you modeling? I know there's quite a few OO gauge British modelers in Australia, so N scale is interesting. Thanks for following along. Iain
@@Richard-mn5gp Search for Sydney N Scale Model Railway Club on RUclips. We have our own channel. I just published a layout tour of the layout on this channel.
@@gncascadedivision Surprisingly, we are modelling the same area as you. Our layout is a fictitious railway connecting Calgary to Seattle via Spokane, with a third line running east to somewhere in Montana. We also have some smaller layouts modelling Australian and British.
That's awesome! My previous layout was British OO gauge, and I have a small 8ft long shelf layout I'm working on for a British traction maintenance depot. I love that you're making up a fictional railroad in the are of the Cascades. I've said many times on this channel that I'm taking a lot of inspiration from the prototype, but at the end of the day my layout is still freelance, not faithfully accurate! You've all done a great job on the scenery, looks great.
I have been watching this series from the beginning and just have one thing to ask, I know it is your layout and all. Is there any way you can lay track while you talk. Pretty much all we here is what you are doing, then you do it off camera. Me my self is new to this and I need eyes on of how you do it, I don’t want to make you upset. That being said I love your layout
Layout looks great And Becker is spectacular
Thank you. He's a goofball, but a good dog! Iain
Love him, That is all that counts !!!!@@gncascadedivision
I love the progress you’re making! It’s looking great!
This layout is really coming along.
Thank you!
Awesome! Moving right along. 👍
Railroad will be earning income by hauling passengers and freight soon! Iain
wow you are moving along faster than i had hopped and i like how you describe you plans as you go and add in your future thoughts.
Thanks. Sometimes it helps me to talk out loud about future plans! Iain
Wow, you flew on the top deck and the middle deck is going even faster. Great progress.
Thanks, it was nice to have a decent block of time to focus on making some good progress! Iain
