Dayon is the real and only surprise. But they still have a very good quality left. It's all about competition, and Prime is bringing it in. You don't want kids who are afraid to compete because life is not fair.
All I know is that when they left last year, the team got better. Not because they were bad but because they weren't SUPPOSED to be at CU. Can't play with heart when your heart isn't at CU.
They haven't had anymore people hitting the portal than any other school....Alot of these guys can't handle the spotlight or playing/competing on this level.... This is not just a CU thing, this is going on at some of the biggest Universities
So in only one year Coach Prime built a program. Went from 1-11 to almost making the CFB playoffs. Of course he had an elite QB. Seems like most successful CF teams & those that are in the CFB playoffs have experienced talented QB's.
Nobody that has left - so far - has been an impact player. Some moves don’t make sense like Hayes, Kirkland and baby TO. But the D-line was still tops in sacks WITHOUT Hayes. But he could have made an impact this year. I see all these as decent depth pieces that could have contributed this year. It is what it is.
As much as people want huge houses with pools and exotic cars. And other stuff. For me I want happiness. I live a good life. My woman is in Africa. She is much younger than I am, beautiful in and out and as brilliant or more than I am Med school Not as experienced Ofcourse. I am sick with Colorado football and every player that comes to visit and play. What we want from a depth perspective is happiness and opportunity is tied to it. I hate to lose some players. Dylan Edwards, Baby TO, Especially D Hayes more but there are no guarantees in life. I would want to go on to heaven If Micah left. But one of the truths in our existence is for us to pursue happiness. Go young men and be great to your level of interest and ability. Be great and spread love. Grow like crazy. You will miss Colorado somehow. Learn to love your self. It hurts. But you have my blessings be happy

That is what it takes to develop a top tier to be able to compete with SEC teams. CP wants to do more than just compete he wants to win it all and he’s evolving the program for sustainability. Unlike the 2022 buffs they left bc of new talent, they had the option to stay and compete.

At one of the last team meetings, one of the coaches had some harsh words for the team, alluding to how some of the players wouldn’t make the team next season so they should consider hitting the portal. There’s a time, place, and way to deliver such a message, but DEFINITELY not in a team meeting that will certainly hit RUclips, and other media outlets. A coach and team, can be right AND wrong, at the same time, and I believe, that’s much of the problem. That and the fact that many teams AND NCAAF will do ANYTHING to negatively impact CU recruiting, including, offering players money to leave.
CP did that in his 1st meeting and look how it has worked out. So what’s the problem doin it in a team meeting. They didn’t call out any names. They probably had that talk in exit meeting that all teams have with players. U must not have played sports in school
