I’m the exact same I release fish when they r too small and try to play by the rules and when I get treated like I’m doing something I shouldn’t be doing, then I will let them know real quick! Cuz I see a lot of people breaking rules day in and day out but I don’t say nothing cuz it’s not my place anyway I agree with u it upset me too
I love how the police goes after the person who violated the no wake policy by ripping out after him and creating a wake. Ridiculous. I love your show. Don’t let the haters get you down. ❤️ btw, I was born at fort benning in 1966 when my dad was in the army.
Just "one"? 😂 Call me crazy, but I don't think we get to the point where there's multiple (often into double digits, possibly even more) new RUclips videos coming out daily that clearly expose police officers who are violating the rights of citizens ON CAMERA (just imagine how many encounters don't get filmed and/or are covered up by corrupt departments) with it just being "one bad apple" in each department. That phrase is what they like to use to try and distance themselves from accountability. Sorry to burst your bubble, but the issue is FAR WORSE than that. It's a systemic, behavioral issue with the TYPE of people who are typically attracted to law enforcement jobs. Mental health should be the primary focus if/when we ever get around to addressing it. Unfortunately, it would probably require a federal mandate or something to make it happen though. That, and a much better healthcare system than we currently have.
You did Nothing Wrong Bro !!! Don’t Worry About It,,,, The Guy was probably on a power trip !!! PLEASE KEEP DOING WHAT YOU DO !!! I LOVE Every Minute Of Your Videos !!!
10 year army veteran here. Always watch your content 👌. You're very professional and love your content. Respect veterans and all sacrifices they've made and done. From another veteran, thank you . I love you bama.❤
You're good man. Doesn't matter who you are, you just don't whistle at anyone. Specially when you work for the people. Keep up the good work, and thank you for the content.
I'm so glad you respectfully handled it the way you did. It's a shame that somebody who's supposed to be enforcing the law would try to pull something like that to start with. I'm afraid I would be showing the video to his supervisor.
Just want to say, the way they regulate us fishermen with a single rod in the water, it would be nice if they regulated the commercial fishermen with a relatively significant force. As it is, it’s like giving a driver a ticket while a tank runs over an entire interstate. I meant to say too, Bama, you are an absolute pleasure to watch and I’ve learned a lot from your channel. Keep doing this great work, brother!
I work the salt, I also spend nearly as many hours a week on the salt and fresh as recreation. With work I'm far more regulated then as recreation, and don't have a single snivel about when they are doing what the public pays them to do. Every law on the water is availaable to read, every law on the water is easy to follow. I'd rather they were doing their jobs with a-holes and drunks on the water than me having to deal with those same a-holes-because I will in a heartbeat. Seen Bamas' attitude? We were a few decades apart, but while in service we slept and worked the exact same buildings and grounds, and my tolerance level is nearly non-.existent This guy, seemed like he just wanted to avoid someone maybe not knowing the rule, seen Bama did, was spotlocked and coming no further, left. How many don't read signs on the water or streets these days-do you?
Heck for hundreds of years commercial fishermen got free health care because it helps restaurants keep prices down so entitled lobster eaters can eat cheap. Just like waiters , waitresses not getting minimum wage.
Most of the regulations are there for safety. I worked on a fishing boat for 20 years and as long as you had your s+^t together you were all set. In water inspection every other year and out of water inspection the other years. They can be pricks but it’s all about safety. If the boat sinks and you all die. It will eventually come back to the inspector who certified it safe(good to go). On the recreational side on my personal 24ft little boat. I would get Checked multiple times a year. Maybe it was the way we looked or sometimes they are training new personnel. I have everything I need and I know a lot from being on the water and dealing with coast guard inspections for years. And to have some 1st year coast guard cadets or whatever they are pretty much from Kansas not having much knowledge of the ocean. Asking and telling me what I need and why. Kinda made me a little pissed. And after going through everything on their safety checklist I couldn’t find my whistle. And I was perturbed by then. Was obviously a training exercise for the rookies but do it with someone weekend warrior not the guy who’s here every day. Anyway. Sorry. Ranting a bit
You handled it like someone who was doing the right thing should, he should have never whistled at you, he could have come over and talked to you politely but most people like him don’t know what being polite is! Love your channel!!
I thought you handled the entire situation just fine. You didn't do anything wrong. That dude was just being a bully. Also, I just wanted to add that I have very much enjoyed watching your videos and learned a few things along the way. I watch your channel more than anyone else's. Keep up the good work.
Another super star video. I can't believe I haven t ran in to you coming from Huntsville Al since 1993, 6 times a year every year to orange beach Pensacola to fish. That Big AJ is great eating, even those Mangrove snappers. Stay cool dude. Those Police are hungry for action.
My daughter and I fished off the new boardwalk under that overpass the last fews days while visiting Orange Beach. We had a good time, but the locals were saying there were rocks on the bottom that were not there before. There were a lot of snags. Love the videos as always. Everywhere we went to get bait or talked to a local they told us to make sure we watch your stuff. I assured them we have been subscribed for a long time!
I really enjoy your videos, bro. You are always very respectful to all; human or animal. That says a ton about your character. I agree with most everyone else; you were 100% in-the-right and handled the official at the dock very well. You also did a great job with the boarding on your way back. Long day, getting dark, you were cold…kept it cordial. They’re just doing their jobs, we don’t make the rules. Respect. I really enjoy your energy and attitude. Keep up the great work and stay safe out there.
My rant is just starting -they whistle at you then they break the law. Real class acts. I went to Benning for training back when the Church was still using WW2 barracks.
He musta been stuffed into a locker in grade school and needs to compensate. In those situations I just smartly say “Yes, sir! I’ll move along, sir!” You’re always super genuine and polite so I can’t imagine anyone taking offense to however you handle it.
You ate absolutely right in enforcing your rights. I think you handled everything right. From the officer that tried to run you off his dock to complying with the officers that pulled you coming into port
You whistle at animals, and you are 100% right. On another note, my son-in-law has his doctorate degree in meteorology and works for NOAA in the Ocean Prediction area. He uses those buoys and satellite imagery to make decisions which keep maritime folks safe.
You are the man and you are correct. I find fishermen and hunters to be among the best stewards of our natural resources. I didn't know "they" changed the name of Fort Benning - the long time school of many airborne service members. You just keep giving us reasons to discover just how cool you are. Also, even when law enforcement is wrong we should try to show respect as you did. This is a great channel, friend.
You handled it very well, he should have showed you some respect and come over and spoken to you instead of whistling at you like you were a dog. He should be given some retraining on how to interact with the public. Love your videos. Your friend in Australia 🇦🇺 Rob T
Great video as usual ! You illustrated why I hate coming through that area, not that I'm doing anything wrong but because apparently you don't have to be to get harassed by the Pass Pirates. Good job with the way you handled it too. Btw, he had no need to talk to you about it man to man, he should have never made contact at all. Jmo.

I would have been the same way. You aren’t a dog so definitely whistle like you’re calling one. Also like you said come and see what’s going first before making judgements. You are in the right 100%

I was fishing there in the exact same spot the other day. Came over the speaker and asked me pull anchor and leave their area. Didn't want the hassle, so started packing it in, when the other trooper decided he needed to open boats side window and yell at me that the sign was there for a reason. Pretty ridiculous.
Getting a heron land on your boat; That's good luck mate. I bet your fishing picked up over the next few days. Seagulls are another thing. Those dumpster doves are all bad Juju. scare them off fast. Just a thought; open the bale a bit and let them jacks RUN!!! They may be off-season but they are worth the 10-15 minutes of fun with lighter gear or a slightly loose bale. Relax a bit and enjoy the moment. That's what fishing is all about. You shouldn't power pull them up to the surface, the smaller fish could blow a bladder if pulled from any good depth. It's one thing to use big gear, just in case; but don't let the gear take away your enjoyment for the fight.
Absolutely right…whistling is never a good way, annoying as F. Apparently they had their eye one you from start to finish. You handled it well…probably better than I would have.
I hate dealing with marine police. I’m just trying to spend time with my kids, I hardly even keep fish ever, and i just always feel harassed when they stop me. Dude didn’t know he was fussing at a superstar 😂
I agree with this 100%. It's guilty until proven innocent on the water for some reason. They should have to see a violation before they can mess with you.
Man, I hear you on that one. They are trying to just bully at that point! and Hehe!! I'm just surprised they didn't actually wanna show their face cause they knew it was wrong!
I agree, he should have approached you if he thought a crime, or regulation breach was in progress. I do like your polite nature during the stop on the water, I do the same.
You reacted the way I probly would've. Guessing we're both non-confrontational people but sometimes you encounter folks like that. I can hear it in your voice and yeah, it shakes you up for awhile. Hopefully not too long in your case. You never know what kind of day the other guy was having either... usually I only think about that later though... 🤣🖖
Luckily they got called on an important "no wake zone" violation,,,, lol! You were fine, and i agree on the whistling. We have a "job coach" we have to listen to on occasion, and his thing is to snap his fingers repeatedly to get attention like we're trained animals of some sort; very obnoxious in my opinion. Anyway, thanks for another great vid.
Completely within your rights. I’m a pre law student in MS. Previously ran for office at 21 yr. The property stops at the water, and the right away stops at the buoy. He doesn’t own 1 mm under the water 1 mm off the pier. Let him complain, let him try and abuse authority, and then you’ll end up with a lawsuit that pays you well and he looses a job.
I made it down to Key West 25 years ago to fish with Rob Delph. He put put me on back to back 40+ pound AJ's. That was right after back to back 21 and 26 lb black fin tuba on 12lb tackle. I was absolutely done after all that. That's not even counting 3 guys limited out on 3 to 5 lb yellow tail snapper to start the day.
I had a similar encounter last week in front of the marine resource division in the canal, It was a state trooper boat, I was fishing in front of the marine resource when he stopped and told me I can't fish there. There also was a sign and as you did I showed him the sign and read it to him... I also was in navigable waters, I also left with no ticket and kept fishing. Probably the same guy. :/
Thanks for watching! Let me know what you would've done different!
What’s up bro from Tampa fl
Just proves some people complain about anything and everything
my boyfriend said he would have cut a strip off of the pin fish its great redfish bait.

Thank you for the positivity
The guy was being a jerk. You did nothing wrong, and handled it perfectly
Thank your for the reassurance
I'll never understand why boarding boats isn't treated like police getting into cars. Seems like the same fourth amendment violation

Ignore finger snapping and whistles are the bailiwick of coaches erstwhile failed athletes
Youre absolutely right. LEO was way disrespectful!
What is in season right now?
Guy must have been having a bad day 😂
Don’t let that crap ruffle your feathers, you’re good.
He's just jealous of your life and such a great human being
Completely within your rights.
I love it rants over twice but your right he should of been more polite about it and not whistle
Dude was being a bully. Good on ya Brother.
