I'm so excited- I'm getting these boots with the JW Gold Seal Revolution blades. I'm working on double flip, lutz, and axel, and I've been skating on Jackson Supreme 5300 which I love but are getting very broken down. I'm super excited to get my new boots! How are yours holding up?
Mine are holding up well! I think I'm finally feeling comfortable in them now, took a while to get my elements consistent again! Have you gotten yours yet? How are they feeling for you?
Beautiful, will you get them heat moulded when you get the blades attached. Good to know Skaters Edge delivery goes well to Australia. I’ve been thinking of getting off ice skates from them. 🥰
Hi Deyana! I haven't heat moulded them, although the breaking in took some time, I think they've adjusted well without it so far. Skaters Edge is awesome, highly recommend them! x
Hi there! I was in a Royal Pro, which is a 65 stiffness, but broke them down nine 4 months of skating I tried the RF1 and my heel is slipping in them because of the lack of padding any chance you could take a picture of the inside of the skate where the heel sits so I can see the padding before I try them? The stiffness of the 90 felt great but the heel slip was challenging! Hope your test went well!!
Hello im trying to get new risport skates and i was wondering what size those skates are and what is your size (EU) . I saw the sizing charts but im still scared that it might not fit.
Wow I’m kinda surprised you leveled up you skates that much Rf3 are actually designed to support doubles jumps ! Personally I weigh 44kg and royal prime skates or other skates that stiff would be extremely difficult for me to break in if I weren’t at least doing doubles or triples. I have edea overtures since a pretty long time and they and I can jump axels in it without any problem 🤗 I’ll think about getting royal pros or maybe ice flys if my skates become too worn out but not before at least one year ! Ps: btw I always thought royal prime were dance skates idk why
Hi there! Yes that's correct. Just to clarify, I weigh more than you and I am currently training 1A and 2S :) So the Primes are right at the support level I need them at. I think the Primes are closer to the shape of dance boots than the RF line. And I'm glad that your edeas are going so well for you! All the best :)
@@ImoneOnIce I agree. I just bought these skates and am waiting for them to arrive. I am also an adult working on doubles and I need the ankle support. Thank you for the review!
I'm probably such the Nervous Nelly, but 1) I would have been super nervous about ordering boots without ever having tried them on and fitted by a professional - especially at your level of skating(!!) and 2) I am surprised to hear you're getting new skates so close to when your next test is coming up. Maybe you already did another video on what your decision process was about getting these, but did the place you got them from have a really good return policy? How did you decide to get these without trying them on? And do you plan to test in them?
I completely agree with you, it took me months to mull over this decision and I spent a lot of time investigating skate shops, other boots etc and their returns/payment policies. I also have a local skate shop where I can try things on too, so I wasn't going in completely blind. Just to clarify, I didn't start using my new skates until after my test was done and passed, that would have been a really bad decision. I used my old boots/blades and didn't sharpen too close to the test date either. :)
Guys, I'm desperate. Where are you buying it??? I ordered a pair of RF3 pro Risport skates in NOV 2022 and even now in AUG 2023 I have no news on how it's going... Hole Spain is out of stock 🌧
Hi! I have these skates and have the same problem with the lace hole attacking the laces. I’ve had to change my laces 3x in 2 weeks. We’re you able to find a solution for this? Thanks!
I tried using some pliers to shave down the metal but it didn't work for long! I had to resort to avoiding the loops and lacing through the hooks only. It's not caused any issues with stability but it was annoying!
Great question, I probably found it harder to adjust to the tongue shape more than the collar. The collar allows much more movement than my last skates. Weight wise, I initially thought the Royal Primes were slightly heavier... I've adjusted to them fine now though :)
I didn’t get if you stayed in your JW Coronation Ace Blades, did you ? Also I’ve heard that they’re really hard to get used to especially for spins, is it true and does it get better ? Thanks for your content ::)
Best feeling EVER!! I remember unboxing my first pro boots this month! With pro blades! Amazing feeling! Enjoy
Yes absolutely, how good is it! :D
They look amazing!
Thank you!

@@ImoneOnIcecan i heat mold my risport antares at home

That's crazy! I'm from Australia but I've used SkatersEdge NZ, Icemonster Aus and Icebox UK.
This is so cool! Just out of curiosity what’s the support level number of those skates and your old ones?
And best of luck on your test!
Royal primes support level is 90!
Yes that's correct!
That skate shop is the best
Are you from nz
I know right! I'm in Australia :)

Does the u shape collar makes it harder to balance/ easier to pronate? Do you notice any weight difference between prime nd RF 3?

Yep I stayed in the JW CAs :) Initially, it was weird and challenging to adjust to but I got used to things after 2-ish months.
