Hi Jim, My first deck (over 33 years ago) was an Aquarian Tarot by David Plalidini, I was drawn to the color and art nouveau style but very quickly gravitated to the Rider Waite Smith deck. I believe Pamela Coleman Smith was a truly gifted illustrator and I continue to find new things in it even after all these years. I have worked with a variety of decks over time, occasionally liking a non illustrated Minor. I think it's valuable to work with the Crowley/Harris Thoth deck but I find it not as user friendly to clients. One of my personal favorites (that I don't use in professional work, but personal reflection) is the Cosmic Tribe by Stevee Postman (sp?). I love varying perspectives like the Barbara Walker or a very different system like the Dakini oracle, but at the end of the day I always come home to a Rider or variant like the Morgan Greer. One of my favorite authors Robert Wang, says that after a while we are really working with the internal deck. I find that to be very true. What's your deck of choice?
Nice, do you ever read with any other decks Trevor? Good luck with the new Studio!
