Tbh walls are just fine how they are, the more you attack and loot and get used to armies, it increases the skills of players in the game, because what ive seen is that many people like to spam troops and get 3 stars and loot. Thats not how the game should be played. You should actually earn those things

I mean pretty much all of us has seen the leaks on Reddit where they have the new Minion hero but the thing is, I want the town hall to visually look different. By the time we reach next couple of years there shouldn't really be much old defenses left. All of the defenses we have seen up until Town Hall 15 will be merged and replaced with brand new defenses moving forward that's why we don't have new levels to Canon after Town Hall 15 we're pretty much saying goodbye to all old defenses Eagle artillery will be gone after Town Hall 17 and merged as well. If executed well this could be a brand new era for Clash.
Walls are meant to make your base look strong. However, maybe Supercell could add a defense trap inside walls at different levels. Like if Root riders destroy the walls a bomb could explode and cause some damage to the root riders.

The fact that the new hero is confirmed, i think may also consequently confirm a new signature defense. It's something of a trend really, in TH11 eagle was introduced and with it came grand warden, in townhall 13 scattershot came and so did RC. The exception is TH15, but that townhall adds i believe 40 hero levels and 20 extra army capacity. The eagle is gone but there is definitely going to be something new to stand up to all the new offensive shit they seem to be adding into TH17.
Can they please just add a maximum cost cap for upgrading walls so that for future levels the upgrading cost stays the same and doesn't rise any higher with each level?
On the topic of merging the th with the eagle taking away a major defense making attacking easier. We will have to wait and see about that, but they did confirm there would be a new major defense added to take its place.
I have faith in Supercell. They usually release something and deliver! Like all other updates, I expect them to monitor the situation (especially in Legends league and eSports) and will correct it for casual players.
If you haven’t learned one thing yet about COC and SC, they are always bait and switching with hyped up gear, troops, and defenses, only to wait until AFTER people spend truck loads of resources ($$$) and then rebalance (nerf). The best strategy for any “new” update is to do nothing until after they rebalance. This takes discipline.
With the Town Hall Weapon, I'm thinking that it will have 2 separate health bars. One to destroy the Eagle Artillery than it will go to the base Townhall with the inferno, that way it isn't destroying 2 defences at once. 😅 I know it probably sounds stupid...
To increase the village plot, well they cant because all those sceneries would have to be reworked which wiuld take the team hundreds of hours or completely deleted which people wouldnt like.

Pretty much all of the points in this video assume that th17 would bring issues that are easily avoidable. Yes the walls could cost too much, so they will set a lover price. Yes the newer pets are good, so they will balance them. Yes the eagle merging will make the attacks simpler, so they will give us another defense. Yes the equipment will have less value, this is what players asked for, not an issue.
Spent billions in building walls.... lvl 1 dragons flying over it... I only have been playing this game for a few months and I'm just TH 12, but upgrading walls is something I just do when I have some spare resources. They are lvl 12 and a bit lvl 13 because of hammer jam.
The only bad pet is lassie but lassie was bad since launch. Diggy has more stats digs under ground and stuns since you have been able to not use lassie people stopped.
What I hope will happen at some point in the future. Would be that every merged defense can be un merged. With a cap of a 100 buildings. And a cap for merged buildings. This way you might want to un merge you eagle. And instead merge something else. This would also greatly improve base diversity. And probably rebalanced équipement a bit. As some équipement would see new light on off meta bases that focus on being not well known instead of being optimal. This would mean that canons for example tht currently only have up to th 15 of upgrades, would look bad right? But Id consider adding a new upgrade for thoses every time the merged Canon get one. Either 1 upgrade on any of the 2 canons, or their merged variants, would upgrade all 3 at once. Or that marge de fences have a star upgrade. Where they would get 75% of their stats on the new level, and the 25 remaining percents on the star upgrade. Both of them costing 1 un merged Canon upgrade. As 2 upgraded canons would correspond to à star ricochet canon. 1 un merged canon upgrade would just be the upgraded ricochet without the star. Basicly making the upgrades, Canon upgrades, and merging canons together add the respective upgrades into the merged variant. Might sound complex. But if that's applied to every building. And considering how merged de fences are the most important to see. They just need to have merged variants be clearly distinguishable.

@thenelsonbruhs722 well. The teams are bigger. Like they went from 20 to 50 people working on the game. Not really. But they would only need to add th16 canon and archer tower levels. And from then. Add an upgrade per building, per th. Wich is a lot. But was almost the case. Maybe canons and archer towers can stay as the only one that are forced to be merged tho. So there is at least thoses that they don't have to do. But I feel like every townhall should have every defense upgrades. Air sweeper could be trap cheap and just get a bit more hp. But have matching th look. Etc. The cost of a great game is just as great. If my idea or something close they can work out is amazing and would require a lot of work. They will do it. I'll be real with and say the visual département. At least for upgrade isn't the one that work the most.
i do not mind town hall 17 taking a long time to max. As long as its not due to upgrades taking 3 weeks. I always enjoyed farming for walls. Also... I have been maxed for such a long time... whatever they do... i just want to have something to grind for again. And I have faith im them doing the merges in a healthy way
I love hero equipments but I think that supercell didnt think them through enough. There are a lot of problems ahead and I hope that they have a plan in motion
oh, wait, maybe they'll add ALOT of health for the Townhall. like a juggernaut. imagine an 8k hp townhall. Or when its half hp, it has a shield that protects it from spells like how it gets protected against lightning spells. Because when your trying to snipe the townhall, you need to earthquake first, and may fail because the builders will repair them. its gonna make it REALLY difficult to take down. this can make it so you want to AVOID the th until last. because if you fail to snipe it, thats an activated Eagle right at the start of the fight. it makes warden walks and queen walks even more difficult. its either you save the townhall for last or first. countering fireball armies and smash armys as the TH is such a tank and strong defence.
good pet ideas LASSI - buff to its stats and while its alive gives its hero the ability to jump over walls (finally queen will stop hitting them) Electric owl - there are a few ways the 2 i got in mind is 1:make the owl lightning do more damage on its own (sorta like a psuedo edrag) or have the lightning buff its hero/surronding troops (im thinking like edrags around the owl will do more damage per chain or have the heroes attack carry the owls chain lightning this could help funneling or smth) Yak - i think this was meant to be like a root rider but it shouldnt be that overpowered to the point where you dont need to use root riders maybe buff its health since its always on the front tanking hits breaking walls Unicorn - i think its decent but maybe buff its standing range or allow it to heal itself (this might be a bit broken) Poison Lizard - allow this thing to hit cc troops as well or give it AOE Rest of the pets are pretty decent for now maybe frosty might get powercrept but buffing the frostmites could help cuz they die pretty easily when targetted and angry jelly is decent for some attack strats but outside of its abilities its kinda useless maybe either buff its damage towards defenses since thats its whole purpose or buff heroes damage towards defences so its not like totally totally useless on the rc
I maxed my 100/640k lvl 18 walls in just about 5 1/2 days as my newest personal record! Townhall 16 it too me a month 1/2 to do it in. I did it all by constant training potions with super goblins, 3 haste/8 earthquake spells.
I think the copium is real in this comments section. Now, I love Clash of Clans, but I seriously have a problem with releasing these town halls on a schedule. Back then it was going to be 1 year and 6 months, and for a while it was okay. But I think new town halls back then were far more meaningful than they are now. TH15, 16 and 17, for all their pros also feel like maintenance on your base. I'd honestly would like it if they spaced out the new town halls 2 years instead or even 2 and a half so dedicated f2p can have a split chance at maxing out. At the end of the day, it's not my game to decide what future it has. I might keep playing cause I don't hate it, but I can say I'm retired for now from competitive play. Used to be top 200 in my country, but that title doesn't really have the appeal anymore for me. But good for those who can get a top 200 spot where they are, keep on clashing. As for my strategy, I used to do a double walk with a queen on one side and the flame flinger on the other before siccing the dragon family on the enemy. Sorta spammy but a bit tactical in the deeper end since... You can't just drop the electros and dragons randomly if you want the 3. It's my favorite strategy with my favorite species in fiction.
Usually some Town halls bring in a signature defense, town hall 10: having the inferno tower (yes I know it’s not only 1 but you don’t get much compared to other stronger defenses) Town hall 11: Eagle Artillery being one of the most strongest defenses in the game shaking up attacking, Town hall 15 Monolith, Town hall 16 merging mechanics and town hall 17 could get something new as well. If there was to be a new hero so late into the game there could be problems, first it’s stats would have to I already be pretty high (probably enough so where TH13 has problems with it but easy for TH15 and up at level 1) but should be able to hold its own (with/without support determining the conditions of how it’s used) at its max level provided… that’s if we do get a new hero. Root riders would probably not receive a new level being how strong they are already with its high health and destructive abilities. As well there is multiple reasons why map size ain’t getting bigger, there could be a easy solution (my idea was to make each square in the village smaller to make room for more squares but makes the buildings looked smaller) they could increase time or something completely different. If your thinking just to add more squares without making them smaller well most to all custom themes would have to be redone to fit the new size. Eagle artillery being merged into the Town hall would make it something similar to the clan capital hall, maybe it could activate with a smaller amount of troops needing to be deployed maybe 120-150 could be good, as well since its now in the town hall it could launch more shells instead of a 3 round burst. Overall Town hall 17 shouldn’t be criticized it’s not even released yet 😂 we just gotta wait a week for it.
Game at its core is not to Max out immediately. It’s to max out over time, even with expensive walls you wouldn’t max them all in one day, also if the new th comes yearly why max out instantly, walls give people a purpose to grind at least a few times a week
Hero Equipment will still be fine, even at lower levels it can be useful. I am using level 11 boots and level 14 spiky ball for my king and level 14 rocket spear and level 17 shield for my rc. I can take out max bases without many issues, so I think that on th17 it will also be fine.

Town hall 17 isn't even out! There will be new troops, new spells and a new hero (in which if people saw them all in actions from leaks, they are pretty good). TH17 will mostly focus on defenses and HP, meaning you'll have to be very careful when attacking as 1 slip up means your entire army is evaporated, making a new shift in the meta, making it a bit harder than TH16 with a significantly bigger difference with hardmode so pros can have the TH15 experience again, so far, TH17 seems to be on the right track in terms of balance with defense and attacking troops/heroes overall! also all pets are meta, except for LASSI (for obvious reasons). All of them are strong in some respective metas, like the yak with the warden in an E-Titan smash, Unicorn for a warden walk, Owl is also good to help funnel and test any air traps, etc. I strongly believe that TH17 has been negatively judged way too fast

And about mobile phones, stop behaving like you're the majority and treat mobile gaming like shit. First of all mobile gaming is the one that actually makes money out of the entire industry, because mobile phones are cheaper and don't need dedicated parts to run games like roblox or minecraft, and most of the good games are free to play with micro transactions, which is the best way to make a game accessible and make profit out of it. Second of all, quite the opposite, because we mobile gamers have smaller screens and have the buttons right on the screen, we can play and focus way better than PC gamers. Having a smaller screen makes you see things faster and having the buttons on the screen reduces the chance of miss-clicking. It's not like you see more on a monitor than a phone, you have the same amount of FOV on the phone but just bigger, that's it, and because of this (for example in tf2) someone can just come out of the corner of the screen that it's not in your field of attention and take you down, unlike on a mobile screen where you can pay attention on the entire screen because it's smaller and reduce drastically the chances such surprises. But honestly it might be no different, you just have to play for long enough so you adapt to the specific device, whether pc or phone.
Frosty is really good I dont know in what World ypu live in He is Tanky He slows buildings He spawns 2 frostmites that freeze buildings too and they also tank a surprising amount of dmg And It's damage isnt crazy but it saves a shot/hit here and there Overall He is a great ground support for the queen or the warden (depending on the Strategie used) But I agree on the Lizard It's just not very good I find it more crazy that he said that the unicorn was "overlooked"

we all agree that you can just ignore walls in your progression. we all just upgrade walls to look intimidating and cool.

As 2 upgraded canons would correspond to à star ricochet canon.
1 un merged canon upgrade would just be the upgraded ricochet without the star.
Basicly making the upgrades, Canon upgrades, and merging canons together add the respective upgrades into the merged variant.
Might sound complex. But if that's applied to every building. And considering how merged de fences are the most important to see. They just need to have merged variants be clearly distinguishable.

And what abhor the fact that we’d need to add upgrades for both TH16 and TH17 levels to maintain visual consistency depending on which town hall you’re at? That’s a ton of upgrades bro
@thenelsonbruhs722 well. The teams are bigger. Like they went from 20 to 50 people working on the game. Not really. But they would only need to add th16 canon and archer tower levels.
And from then. Add an upgrade per building, per th. Wich is a lot. But was almost the case.
Maybe canons and archer towers can stay as the only one that are forced to be merged tho. So there is at least thoses that they don't have to do.
But I feel like every townhall should have every defense upgrades.
Air sweeper could be trap cheap and just get a bit more hp. But have matching th look. Etc.
The cost of a great game is just as great. If my idea or something close they can work out is amazing and would require a lot of work. They will do it.
I'll be real with and say the visual département. At least for upgrade isn't the one that work the most.

i do not mind town hall 17 taking a long time to max. As long as its not due to upgrades taking 3 weeks. I always enjoyed farming for walls. Also... I have been maxed for such a long time... whatever they do... i just want to have something to grind for again. And I have faith im them doing the merges in a healthy way
I love hero equipments but I think that supercell didnt think them through enough. There are a lot of problems ahead and I hope that they have a plan in motion

oh, wait, maybe they'll add ALOT of health for the Townhall. like a juggernaut. imagine an 8k hp townhall.
Or when its half hp, it has a shield that protects it from spells like how it gets protected against lightning spells. Because when your trying to snipe the townhall, you need to earthquake first, and may fail because the builders will repair them.
its gonna make it REALLY difficult to take down.
this can make it so you want to AVOID the th until last. because if you fail to snipe it, thats an activated Eagle right at the start of the fight. it makes warden walks and queen walks even more difficult.
its either you save the townhall for last or first. countering fireball armies and smash armys as the TH is such a tank and strong defence.
good pet ideas
LASSI - buff to its stats and while its alive gives its hero the ability to jump over walls (finally queen will stop hitting them)
Electric owl - there are a few ways the 2 i got in mind is 1:make the owl lightning do more damage on its own (sorta like a psuedo edrag) or have the lightning buff its hero/surronding troops (im thinking like edrags around the owl will do more damage per chain or have the heroes attack carry the owls chain lightning this could help funneling or smth)
Yak - i think this was meant to be like a root rider but it shouldnt be that overpowered to the point where you dont need to use root riders maybe buff its health since its always on the front tanking hits breaking walls
Unicorn - i think its decent but maybe buff its standing range or allow it to heal itself (this might be a bit broken)
Poison Lizard - allow this thing to hit cc troops as well or give it AOE
Rest of the pets are pretty decent for now maybe frosty might get powercrept but buffing the frostmites could help cuz they die pretty easily when targetted and angry jelly is decent for some attack strats but outside of its abilities its kinda useless maybe either buff its damage towards defenses since thats its whole purpose or buff heroes damage towards defences so its not like totally totally useless on the rc

I maxed my 100/640k lvl 18 walls in just about 5 1/2 days as my newest personal record! Townhall 16 it too me a month 1/2 to do it in. I did it all by constant training potions with super goblins, 3 haste/8 earthquake spells.
The reason why max walls look good is because they are hard to max, if they are cheap no one cares
new walls cost: 12 mio, doing 10 attacks just to do one wall
i hope that the devs give f2p players some content because it will take very long to get to th17 without rushing

Now, I love Clash of Clans, but I seriously have a problem with releasing these town halls on a schedule. Back then it was going to be 1 year and 6 months, and for a while it was okay.
But I think new town halls back then were far more meaningful than they are now. TH15, 16 and 17, for all their pros also feel like maintenance on your base. I'd honestly would like it if they spaced out the new town halls 2 years instead or even 2 and a half so dedicated f2p can have a split chance at maxing out.
At the end of the day, it's not my game to decide what future it has. I might keep playing cause I don't hate it, but I can say I'm retired for now from competitive play. Used to be top 200 in my country, but that title doesn't really have the appeal anymore for me. But good for those who can get a top 200 spot where they are, keep on clashing.
As for my strategy, I used to do a double walk with a queen on one side and the flame flinger on the other before siccing the dragon family on the enemy. Sorta spammy but a bit tactical in the deeper end since... You can't just drop the electros and dragons randomly if you want the 3. It's my favorite strategy with my favorite species in fiction.
Usually some Town halls bring in a signature defense, town hall 10: having the inferno tower (yes I know it’s not only 1 but you don’t get much compared to other stronger defenses) Town hall 11: Eagle Artillery being one of the most strongest defenses in the game shaking up attacking, Town hall 15 Monolith, Town hall 16 merging mechanics and town hall 17 could get something new as well. If there was to be a new hero so late into the game there could be problems, first it’s stats would have to I already be pretty high (probably enough so where TH13 has problems with it but easy for TH15 and up at level 1) but should be able to hold its own (with/without support determining the conditions of how it’s used) at its max level provided… that’s if we do get a new hero. Root riders would probably not receive a new level being how strong they are already with its high health and destructive abilities. As well there is multiple reasons why map size ain’t getting bigger, there could be a easy solution (my idea was to make each square in the village smaller to make room for more squares but makes the buildings looked smaller) they could increase time or something completely different. If your thinking just to add more squares without making them smaller well most to all custom themes would have to be redone to fit the new size. Eagle artillery being merged into the Town hall would make it something similar to the clan capital hall, maybe it could activate with a smaller amount of troops needing to be deployed maybe 120-150 could be good, as well since its now in the town hall it could launch more shells instead of a 3 round burst. Overall Town hall 17 shouldn’t be criticized it’s not even released yet 😂 we just gotta wait a week for it.
Game at its core is not to Max out immediately. It’s to max out over time, even with expensive walls you wouldn’t max them all in one day, also if the new th comes yearly why max out instantly, walls give people a purpose to grind at least a few times a week
Hero Equipment will still be fine, even at lower levels it can be useful. I am using level 11 boots and level 14 spiky ball for my king and level 14 rocket spear and level 17 shield for my rc. I can take out max bases without many issues, so I think that on th17 it will also be fine.
The new townhall weapon sucks,you don't get the eagle artillery's basically infinte range,and also it's more like a lava launcher from builder base with a poison
Town hall 17 isn't even out! There will be new troops, new spells and a new hero (in which if people saw them all in actions from leaks, they are pretty good). TH17 will mostly focus on defenses and HP, meaning you'll have to be very careful when attacking as 1 slip up means your entire army is evaporated, making a new shift in the meta, making it a bit harder than TH16 with a significantly bigger difference with hardmode so pros can have the TH15 experience again, so far, TH17 seems to be on the right track in terms of balance with defense and attacking troops/heroes overall! also all pets are meta, except for LASSI (for obvious reasons). All of them are strong in some respective metas, like the yak with the warden in an E-Titan smash, Unicorn for a warden walk, Owl is also good to help funnel and test any air traps, etc. I strongly believe that TH17 has been negatively judged way too fast
Need to buff resource collectors so getting loot is easier, then all cost problems are solved

The managers actually said that they don't want to expand the border because imagine attacking a base that's has 5 times the size of the current one in only 3 minutes.
And about mobile phones, stop behaving like you're the majority and treat mobile gaming like shit.
First of all mobile gaming is the one that actually makes money out of the entire industry, because mobile phones are cheaper and don't need dedicated parts to run games like roblox or minecraft, and most of the good games are free to play with micro transactions, which is the best way to make a game accessible and make profit out of it.
Second of all, quite the opposite, because we mobile gamers have smaller screens and have the buttons right on the screen, we can play and focus way better than PC gamers. Having a smaller screen makes you see things faster and having the buttons on the screen reduces the chance of miss-clicking.
It's not like you see more on a monitor than a phone, you have the same amount of FOV on the phone but just bigger, that's it, and because of this (for example in tf2) someone can just come out of the corner of the screen that it's not in your field of attention and take you down, unlike on a mobile screen where you can pay attention on the entire screen because it's smaller and reduce drastically the chances such surprises.
But honestly it might be no different, you just have to play for long enough so you adapt to the specific device, whether pc or phone.

Frosty is really good I dont know in what World ypu live in
He is Tanky
He slows buildings
He spawns 2 frostmites that freeze buildings too and they also tank a surprising amount of dmg
And It's damage isnt crazy but it saves a shot/hit here and there
Overall He is a great ground support for the queen or the warden (depending on the Strategie used)
But I agree on the Lizard It's just not very good
I find it more crazy that he said that the unicorn was "overlooked"

make walls that have shield over them to stop projectiles from reaching the bildings, only few walls could have this thing or any but limited amount of this shield
