    I never tried pumpkin pie (I'm not American) because it never looked yummi to me (it looked like jello) But this one looks so good. Ill try it when my mom makes her sweet pumpkin puree for sure,

    Totally agree on your assessment of cloves. Too strong tasting & overpowering in my opinion. I think Allspice is the way to go to get the clove flavor.

    Does this only make one pie?

    • @simmerandstir
      @simmerandstir  Год назад

      Yes, but it is a deep dish pie. If you use normal sized pie dishes, you may be able to divide it into two smaller pies.

    Can you please help me , the recipe states cornstarch, could I use cornflour instead? ✨

    • @simmerandstir
      @simmerandstir  Год назад +1

      Hi Augustina! Sometimes cornstarch and cornflour are the same thing. However if your cornflour is yellow and has course texture, then do not use it in this recipe. You can try potato starch or tapioca flour instead of cornstarch. You can also try 30 grams (4 Tbsp) of all purpose flour mixed with the milk. I cannot guarantee the results, but it should turn out okay if you follow the rest of the directions in the recipe here: www.simmer-and-stir.com/recipes/a-better-pumpkin-pie
      Let me know how it turns out!

    29 oz???? Thas about 2 cans to much for 1 pie ...not enough for 2..... isn't??

      Hi andreagil9275! Yes, 29 oz fills a deep dish pie pan. This is an extra large pie to feed a holiday crowd. You can easily serve 12 people with this one pie, which means less cooking! LOL! Thanks for watching!
