You scoff, but for somebody who may clean their gear before leaving and carries their brass back from the range it's a convenient combo. I have 4 brothers. When we go to the range somebody almost always finishes their routine early, and it's great having a cleaning/tool kit handy for that or the occasional mechanical issue. Been doing it for decades, but with an old Home Depot bucket and more typical wooden box cleaning kit and various loose tools.
