Thank you! I just pulled mine and there were only a long root not one radish but it was green so I will try what you just showed and hopefully get some 🤗
"Do not give them fertilizer, just compost" 2 minutes later "I'ma water them with low water-soluble fertilizer" "I'm gonna give them a tablespoon of 5-5-5 fertilizer, and then water them with water-soluble fertilizer" Lol
I have 5 Rambo radish plants growing in a pot indoors. I use the Masterblend, Calcium Nitrate and Epsom Salt solution (I think it's 4-18-38) for most of my veggie plants. Is the solution for the "Bloom" version (with 1/4 teasp. of phosphorus versus 1 teasp. per gallon (veg) going to be low enough in nitrogen?
Very informative, even had to slow the video down a few times to get the juicy bits of gold nuggets found within. Does it mean that more spacing results in larger radishes?
I can never get my raised bed soil that fluffy for my root crops. Any suggestions for something I could amend it with? I have plenty of bagged compost and a bulk growing mix in my beds but it still tends to dry clumpy.
Another RUclips video demonstrates growing radish in a seed tray sitting on top of another tray filled with composted manure. This seems contrary to your no fertilizer opinion. Thank you for sharing informative videos!
Came here to find out how to grow BIG radishes and left knowing nothing, By big i mean the size of medium onions!!!! In china they grow them the size of apples and no they are not woody, fleshy, moist, and peppery

Lol
I didn't understand that either
Do you need holes in the bottom of the flower box for water to drain?
Yes, always provide drainage anytime you are growing in a container.

I have tried growing cherry belle radosh in a flower box but jus one grew right and the others not
Do i need to trim the leaves and stems a bit so not all the energy goes to them instead of the bulb?
No, they will do fine - they need the leaves for energy production
@@all-americaselectionsflowe6095 okay, thanks.
Thank you for the video! I was wondering if red arrow radishes would do the same?
Muito obrigada! Graças ao seu vídeo consegui uma colheita satisfatória de rabanetes
Thanks for the tips, beautiful radishes! Looking forward to some more videos, liked and subbed :)
Thanks so much. Good luck
@@all-americaselectionsflowe6095 What water soluble, low nitrogen fertilizer did you use for the radishes?
Is this the same guy from the rusted garden channel?
So while they're germinating I need to water them only once every day? Good video
Or just when the soil is dry

yes, you will get larger radishes when they are spaced out more.
@@all-americaselectionsflowe6095 Interesting, thanks for answering. Gotta love those massive things!
Thanks to these tips I tried using homemade banana tea which has no nitrogen at all...and my radishes finally grew nice & plump.
Great to hear!
One of the few vegetables that grew well for me this season. #AAS2020PreviewGardenContest
I just put more in this AM

Peat moss and/or coco coir. They dont add nutritional value but fluff it up and hold water nicely.
When my radishes got that big they were totaly dried couldn't eat them, any tips?
Depend on the variety and soil temp. They tend to stay juicy, less wood when temps are cool. Once the heat comes, the get pithy and woody.
@@all-americaselectionsflowe6095 Thanks for the info, do you think watering them little more would help?
Thanks for the video man!
Question: after you harvest, do you buy more seeds or take seeds from radish to replant?
Buy more seeds. With a radish, you would have to let it grow long enough to go to seed that the radish itself would no longer be edible.
If you let them go to seed, the immature seed pods are crunchy and mildly spicy.

you bought those atvthe store
The radishes? No. He grew them himself.
I just found your channel. New sub. :-)
Thanks so much!
Oh snap. I screwed up, made the best soil I have ever made for my carrots, beets and RADISHES. At least I'll have good beets and carrots.😅😑🙄
Sometimes the radishes do fine. Good luck
@@all-americaselectionsflowe6095 just in case I planted some In decent soil.
They look like beets
