Haha about the getting out of the bathtub struggle. I’m in my 50s and we have a big soaker tub. I will suggest people NOT put a full size wall mirror across from the tub. Not an image you want to see.
Oh Susan, I had such a giggle about your full size mirror across from the tub, I hear you girl ha ha. I needed that laugh tonight, thank you.............

Nanny I am watching from the beginning. I thought wow they sound like they are from the East coast. Moose is presently talking about Rutherford, NJ. I am from Philadelphia. You two never lost your accent. I am loving your channel
I love your videos more than I can say Mary Ellen. And no...I'm not the one to teach you about brushes! I use the one that seems to do the best for what I'm trying to do...I fly by the seat of my pants LOL...but, I would love to visit you and play makeup and anything else. I really love your jewelry. rxstrmom ... thank you for the shoutout for Nanny and Moose! Can’t wait to binge watch. I haven’t been on RUclips in a while but I know my favorites and you’re one of them Patty! thank you!

I watched this video couple of nights ago & went to Walgreens to get the Nivea face cream. My 89 yr old mother lives with us & bought us both a jar. Told her I had been watching your videos & you gave wonderful skin, so we have to try it.
My Mummy used to apply Nivea body lotion & she had the most healthy glowing skin. The fragrance reminds me of her and bought a jar for myself. Thanks for sharing your beauty secrets it helps us women of all ages. I love your positive spirit.
I love this video! I am 72 with 6 wonderful children and 6 great “in laws’ but I only have 7 grandchildren -but they are every one ADORABLE! Thank you for recording this! 😍❤️
You have such a lovely and positive outlook in life. You focus on the solutions on dealing with problems that come across as we age. I also love the way you and your husband compliment each other and the gentle way you speak to him. Keep shining 🌟
I watch all those ladies as well. I wish I had found you earlier. You are so wonderful. Dr.Scholl's is good foot care.. Thank you so much. You are a beautiful lady .🥰
I just found your channel and really enjoyed it. I’m in my 60’s and hope to age as gracefully as you! Such an encouraging video for still being active.
Rxstrmom was right! You are a lovely gorgeous woman! Loved watching this first for my video! Wow! Your skin is absolutely gorgeous but most of all you inspired me. I'm 65 with 5 grown children and 12 grandchildren. If I can look as beautiful or have 1/2 your zest for life in the next 18 yrs I'll be so happy!!!! Thanks for posting my new beautiful friend! Sending you love & light from Kenosha, Wisconsin💋💋💋💋💋
WOW, Kim... such lovely things you said... thank you not only for the compliments but for subbing and watching! It’s all about the attitude, Kim! If you have the zest for life NOW... you’ll also have it in your 80’s! Hope we can continue to bring more fun and inspiration to you. Hugs!❤️NANNY
I am very happy to find you! One useful tool I can add is a reacher. I don’t use it often, but when I need something higher than I can reach, it prevents me from climbing on a step stool. It is also very useful when my dog loses his ball under or behind the furniture!
Thank you for reminding me about the reaching tool. I'm 77 and have one hanging in my closet from when I had hip and knee replacement done. I actually had forgotten about it. I am active and get around really well, but it's a tool that I'm going to keep handy for those difficult times! ❤
Hello Nanny! I've also received the referral from Pattie Rxstarmom to find you! Both of you ladies are so marvelous. Nanny, I love your videos, and seeing you guys living such a fufilling healthy life in your 80's! Thank you. Lynn@CANADA
Patti sent me too! I am 72 and enjoying it. All these suggestions are so good, I have most of them already. Great minds think alike. Thanks to Moose for serving for us, and you too, in the military.
You are adorable and boy you sure are inspiring I am in my late 50’s and am just starting down the path to aging. I am planning now for some of the things you speak on! Thank you for helping me to start with a more positive attitude! ❤️
I just found your channel, and you are adorable! I am 66, and went gray about five years ago. It was the best decision I’ve ever made! However, you must wear make up, especially eye makeup, eyebrow pencil, and lipstick. When you go silver, brighter colors, large earrings, a short sassy hairdo, and large glasses are the key to looking young and stylish. Since I retired, I have been volunteering in the thrift store. You would not believe the beautiful, stylish, new clothing that you can buy for pennies. If you want to have fun with your style, and look like a million bucks on a budget, this is the way to go! Thank you for all the great tips, you are an inspiration!
Hi SILVER FOX...WELCOME AND THSNKS FOR SUBBING! GIRLFRIEND, I am an avid Thrifter, too, for many years! In fact, it’s one of the things I miss the most during these homebound COVID MONTHS! Glad you found us! Soon we’ll be out there having some great days again!❤️NANNY

Hello BERNICE and WELCOME TO OUR CHANNEL! We both are blessed with our large families , aren’t we? It does take some energy and patience, though, doesn’t it? Glad you’re here with us on our journey. Thanks for commenting all the way from AUSTRALIA!❤️NANNY
This is so helpful. I shared with my sister who provides care for my parents (86 and 87). Many parts were helpful to me (car assist handle, the frozen organic meals). I just love you my dear.
Nanny...thank you so much for these helpful tips for aging. I'm 47..yeah I know still a baby. But I have no children so as I get older I'll have to learn how to take care of certain things that come with getting older. These tips you have given are so helpful and useful even at my age. I'm so glad to have found your channel. You're awesome! And just a side note..I too have found out recently that getting out of that darn bathtub is getting harder and harder to do! Lol!!
Aloha, You're absolutely adorable! Did I hear you say that you are 83 years young? WOW! You are looking great! I am a new subscriber and I love you already! Mahalo & Aloha from Hawaii!!
Aloha, DONNA AND WELCOME YO OUR CHANNEL! Thanks so much for subbing and commenting and joining our family as we skip down the road to new snd exciting things. Aging can be fun and is of course a gift... we will approach it with positive energy and Gratitude. ❤️ NANNYING
Hi Nanny, here's a tip for your lashes. If you use the tiniest wand , you can pull up each individual lash and this is a great way to create volume and length. I use Wet n Wild megaslim skinny mascara, sometimes it's on sale at Walgreens for 99 cents! It's also water proof which helps to hold the curl from your lash curler, which is an important step. It's worth a try!! Love you!
I HI CHRISTINE.....thanks for commenting and the great tips...I think I have one of those skinny wand mascaras....My daughter bought me a L’Oreal Telescopic mascara. I will also start using my eyelash curler, too. Still working on my eye shadow, too! ❤️ NANNY
Nanny, you and Moose are such delightful people to watch. This is the third video I'd watched from your channel and I am truly loving and appreciating your candid humor and honesty. Your tips for making our life so much easier and safer as we get older are very insightful and helpful. But what I love the most is how tenderly sweet and loving you and Moose are to each other. You both bring a smile to my lips and tears to my eyes reminding me of my own wonderful memories. Thank you for bringing us along with you on this amazing and wonderful journey of yours. Patti was correct when she said that we would enjoy your channel. I think she's a beautiful and loving person as well. ❤
Thanks, Myriam...so happy we can bring some insight and laughter into your life along with some nostalgia and happy memories. Thank you again for joining us on our journey.❤️NANNY
Nanny, I very much loved your video! I love your spirit, and your sweetness. You remind me of my mother. She died 18 yrs ago, but if she had lived she would be 90 this year. I was also led her by Rockstar Mom ❤️
I had to laugh about the toilet story! I have been in a few places with low toilets and it's terrible trying to get up. I replaced both mine with the higher ones. Also I do watch Patti and she's very good with the makeup info. You two would have a ball together!! Thanks for all your tips on aging gracefully. Take care and see you soon!
I am a 57 year old woman , an ex- body builder, power lifter, spin cyclist , mother of two and 20 year construction worker; out in the field with a toolbelt/POWER TOOLS; NOT BEHIND A DESK. Needless to say, I have used my body intensively . I now am experiencing the fallout from my past lifestyle, henceforth, I subscribed today because I, too, can use many of your suggestions and am planning for the future also. You have class, a sense of humor and are humble. Thank you for sharing your tips and tricks!
Hi Nanny, You are a lovely person. I am also a gardener and diabetic. I wore open shoes working in the garden and not seeing well did not realise there were tiny brown ants swarming over my foot. My foot was bit multiple times and ended in an ER visit for a septic infection. My sweet daughter bought me high rubber boots to protect my feet when i go out.
Feel like I have found a kindred soul as we are exactly the same age and seem to have a similar positive outlook on life. . Thanks for all the useful tips. You mentioned painting. As an artist, I would love to see your work. Blessings to you and Moose! 🤗
Hello MARILYN... THANKS FOR SUBBING AND COMMENTING...I am really an amateur who has painted mostly for our children ... sometimes I’ll say, “Wow, Nans, that one turned out pretty good!”...( like a large painting of The kids’ first horse, Blondie... in our trailer video) But I AM proud of my Dutch ceramic tiles that I painted, ( in the Adobe Christmas tour and some others) had fired and cemented onto our white adobe brick fireplace. I have not mastered the ‘plein air’’ style yet, mostly i paint from photos and pics.what is your style and medium, Marilyn?❤️NANNY
How lovely to hear from you. I just found your channel last night, thanks to rxstrmom but will check out more of your videos. I am also Nana to a bunch of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Will be 83 in November....who ME????? It's only a number. LOL If you have a way into Instagram I am known as Marilynart2. Have some of my artwork there. Watercolors are my main choice, but have painted with all mediums over the years. Not sure where you are located, but I am a former Floridian in Fayetteville, GA. Living happily with my daughter, SIL and care for her son Chris. He is 19 and has Down Syndrome. He is the light of my life! So happy to have found you!
How rewarding to be able to spend time with your grandson ! As part of my teaching days, I did teach Special Education. And my Down’s Syndrome children were so affectionate and loving. Blessings to you and your family, Marilyn. ❤️NANNY
First time to watch one of your videos and loved it! Edging toward 70 and your positive attitude and ingenuity in dealing with aging issues is inspiring!
I’m with you. I used to wear Estée and hadn’t in several years so bought some and I thought maybe it was just me but I didn’t like it as much as I used to. Didn’t think about the formulation having been changed. I like the Estée Lauder Pleasures scent. It reminds me of a scent I used to wear called Tatiana by Diane Von Furstenberg that I guess isn’t made anymore. I love Paris by Yve St. Laurent and my DIL usually gives me a bottle for my birthday and said last time she could only find a small bottle at the shop she gets it at. Hope they aren’t going to stop making it. I told someone I know I’m getting old because I’ve outlived three foundations. I used Fresh Cover by Helena Rubenstein in the 70’s and 80’s then they went out of business. Then I started using Max Factor through the late 80’s, 90’s and the 2000’s then they went out of business. I then started using a Loreal cream compact makeup and now apparently they have stopped making it. It is so frustrating trying to find something new because if you buy something and don’t like it you hate having to toss it. It gets expensive.
Hi Ann.... I had to laugh because so many things, not only makeup and perfumes, but everything in life that we have used forever and forever, disappears after awhile!! I guess that;s the way life goes... onward and upward in science, technology and whatever! It only proves that we’ve lived a LONG TIME and like it or not.... it’s the way of the future! Hang in there , Ann....we’ll survive! (But I still will seek out my “old” Estee!). ❤️ NANNY
We love you too Mary Ellen 💕 That was a very helpful video. It’s funny that you were talking about your gardening shoes. My house shoes and pandemic shoes are Crocs .My grandchildren and I are wearing the same type of shoes 😆. I also have them in several colors and they are easy to clean with Dawn dishwashing soap. The shopping cart is a really good idea. When I was in Aldi’s last week, I saw a lady with one because she couldn’t mess with the fact that you have put a quarter in the slot to detach the carts (which you get back when you return the cart). It was too much for her to handle so she uses her own to shop with . Great idea 👍. Like you said , if it makes your life easier. Until next time, take good care you guys.💕
I’m so glad I found your channel, I just visited my parents house today, their in their early eighties, and they’ve got the cushions on the sofa. Such a great idea. Thanks Nanny and Moosey Blessings from Perth West Australia 🇦🇺
I have enjoyed your special, great message for us , I’m 86 and still ride my lawn mower and mow about 2 ac of land, love it. I am so content. You have blessed me, just keep on keeping on, happy days to you.
I subscribed! I want to see you again. Loved your white hat. I will try those clogs. I suffer from Plantar pain. I’m 67 3/4 lol. I’m a retired RN nurse. I agree with you preventing a fall is so smart. Too many older people are too proud to use a cane. I have told myself when I got older I will find the most fancy cane and look sophisticated. :). But I will try that quad cane for the garden. Thank you and please come back soon.
I had cataract surgery when I was 73 years old, and what a difference in my vision, colors were amazing, which I didn’t realize before. Also, helps with detecting flaws in my skin and assisted in makeup application. It was simple and recovery was uneventful. If u have cataracts, take care of them now, because they only get worse. Love your channel, I’m almost 80 now, and you’re content is helpful and uplifting. Thank you. 🌸
My Moosie had cataract surgery several years agoLinda, …with complications….but TG it’s all is fine now…So far so good with my eyes….except have trouble keeping glasses clean with my creams and oils on my face. ❤️
@@crushingtheir80snannyandmoose I'm 68 and had cataract surgery last Dec. My vision was always very poor. I needed glasses as a child and was very near sighted. The surgery was a breeze and I now have 20/20 vision which I never had. I was going blind with the cataracts and I still work and commute a long distance. It was getting unsafe. It's like a miracle for me. I had been praying to God for 20/20 vision and he gave it to me this way. I did go to the best place in town and it was covered by Medicare. I'm sorry your husband had complications. Bring it to God in prayer, let him lead you and trust him. I didn't know how bad my eyesight was until they were removed. I love your channel.
I find The Vermont Country Store sells a lot of the old standard, hard to find scents. It might be worth checking out. and re: getting up from low down. There are some online tutorials with physical therapists. They show easier ways to do those maneuvers. Well worth a look.
Definitely, to both! I'm 54, and used to do a lot of bike riding. I used to cycle to and from my welding job, which was 20 miles away. Now, due to a bouquet of health issues, the basic rolling over in bed can be a painful experience! So, I have looked for, and found those PT tutorials, so at least, when getting up from a chair, in public, I don't make everyone panic, suffer, of hear me groan, like a sad elephant!
@@carabiner7999 Sounds silly to some maybe, but I found a couple that are mostly a matter of re-thinking how we're moving our body, Like instead of pushing straight up from a chair, move the butt near the edge, ude the upper body to bend forward from the hips and that momentum moves one off the chair and then up. Hard to describe, but worth a little RUclips research.
I’m so glad I found you!! You are beautiful and I love your home and your garden and your energy! We love mAny if the same amazing ladies here on RUclips. Can’t wait to binge watch your videos ❤️❤️❤️

You are in great shape for age 83-congratulations - your skin is so beautiful! And how wonderful that you and your husband are both alive and active at your age. I am age 70 and my husband is age 75 and still working fulltime!! I have been working hard to try to stay flexible. mobile and in shape. We live in a community with a wonderful community center so I exercise almost every day and take pool/upper body exercises, yoga and chair exercises (upper body work again.) I also plant and maintain 6 raised garden beds and grow some of our vegetables. I am subscribing to your channel to learn about the tips and tricks that will help us as we age. Do consider a lift chair for ease in getting up and out of a chair. My cousin's husband has Parkinson's and his lift chair really helped him.

OMG Mary Ellen, just found you! Yes, I know, you could never be lost; you're more here-in-the-moment than most millennials I'm acquainted with. I'm on the sunny side of 80, lost my husband 2 1/2 years ago, bought a house with a small acreage in a state near my daughters, am selling the little farm and in the process of moving. I'll be binge watching all of your videos until I catch up. I've recently (since losing my husband) become aware of wonderful women out there, such as yourself, that are almost like a secret society of helpmates. This is the time of my life when I really need that, and I'm so thankful to you all. Sandra Hart (just love that lady), opened my eyes to you. Thank you Nanny, for all that you do..and say hi to the big guy, Moose.
Hello DIAN and welcome to our channel! I’m so glad you found us... did Sandra mention us ? I must thank her! So sorry that you lost your hubs so early but it makes me happy to hear that you are moving on and will be near your daughter. That has always, to us, been so comforting. Life can be so uplifting at this age , especially if you can embrace it with gratitude, humor ,positive energy and gusto! YOU GO, GIRL... KEEP ME POSTED ON YOUR MOVE and new adventures! Thanks for commenting! ❤️NANNY
Absolutely loved your video - bless Patti for introducing you to us! I am a great fan of Nivea too and so was my mum - you cant beat the tried and tested but I too use skin oil as well these days in the never ending battle against the dratted wrinkles! Bless you, take extra special care of each other during these uncertain times and look forward to seeing you again soon. Averil UK X
I am so glad I found your video today. I also watch the other gals you mentioned. I have one of those window washers that you talked about in your car. I purchased it through Amazon to clean our shower with it. It is perfect and does a good job. I enjoyed your video and your many good suggestions. I even have a cane exactly like yours to use first thing in the morning when I get out of bed because I have a bad knee and don’t want a knee replacement at this time. It really helps to support me from falling in case my knee goes out. As we age I believe it is so important to think before we move so we don’t do something that would cause us to injure ourselves. I really look forward to watching your videos. Thank so much. Please take care.
Hello BARBARA .....Thank you for commenting and joining us on our journey! WOW! You have some good suggestions to add to our list! I’m going to use that window washer for the shower , too...I agree with you about moving too fast . I have taken a few face plants within the past year because I forget my age. Thank God I haven’t hurt myself but I am much more careful now! Hope you enjoy our videos! ❤️NANNY
I'm new to your channel and really enjoy watching. Rockstar Mom recommended you in her last video. You are an inspiration. I hope to age gracefully but I know it "ain't for sissies." My parents are in their 80s and doing great. They are farmers and, though my mom doesn't get out and do the hard chores anymore, my dad still does. I'm going to find one of those door tools you showed. I can see how that could be very helpful for getting in and out of his pickup truck. Thanks for sharing!
Welcome, Lois and thank you for subbing and commenting. That tool has been a God Send for Moose. He has used it for over a year now and I know your Dad will appreciate it, too. We all can use a little help here and there!😀❤️NANNY

Rxstrmom, Thank you for everything you have done to help create awareness for my Mom’s RUclips channel!!
@@matthewmonahan3212 You are so kind Matthew! Your mom and dad are pure delight. I'm so happy that she commented under one of my videos and that comment led me to her channel. I wish her huge success here on RUclips. xo p
The rolling cart I have was dug out of a trash pile. A $3.98 can of spray paint, and it looks brand new!
You most definitely don’t look 83!! You Go Girl!! Keep doing what you do! God bless
I would love a chauffeur. I live alone in a seniors condo in PR. I'm a former new yorker who was used to accessible services. Not so here. I appreciate your tips. I'll b using a few of them. Thanks lovely person. Adios
Watched this on Pattie’s advice and I’m so glad I did, I loved your home and garden and your enthusiasm.
I am 76 and also have six children and 17 grandchildren... and one gt. Grandson.
You have inspired me to be more positive, You look so good, thank you SO much for the visit to your wonderful home.
Best wishes from Perth, Australia xx
Hello BERNICE and WELCOME TO OUR CHANNEL! We both are blessed with our large families , aren’t we? It does take some energy and patience, though, doesn’t it? Glad you’re here with us on our journey. Thanks for commenting all the way from AUSTRALIA!❤️NANNY
This is so helpful. I shared with my sister who provides care for my parents (86 and 87). Many parts were helpful to me (car assist handle, the frozen organic meals). I just love you my dear.
Thank you, Sonya, for being here with us today…and for sharing our channel with your parents…and for the lovely comments.❤️
Lol!!
Aloha,
You're absolutely adorable!
❤️ NANNYING
So glad Patti, Rockstar, sent me your way! I love how real you are.!
Your videos are the best ever! You are an inspiration to all ladies as we age! Thank you!
You are so pretty and I love your personality! Moose looks like a sweetheart too ❤️💙
Hi Nanny, here's a tip for your lashes.
❤️ NANNY
God bless you Mary Ellen 🤩💕…you make my soul sing.
Just love watching you ,you make me feel normal !❤
😂😂thanks, Jill. It’s the best way to feel!❤️
You do not look 83! Gosh that Nivea really works! Rxstrmom sent me to your channel.
I love your bubbly energy and positive attitude! I wish I had half the zest when I become your age...
Yikes, Kathleen! I will now reconsider what I wear in the garden among the plants!❤️
Beautiful and your so smart! Enjoy your show!
Could you post where to purchase the items suggested during the presentation. So many of them were very useful. Great video!!!
I’m so glad I found your channel, I just visited my parents house today, their in their early eighties, and they’ve got the cushions on the sofa.
Such a great idea. Thanks Nanny and Moosey Blessings from Perth West Australia 🇦🇺

What a beautiful inside, and out lady. Wonderfully, fun loving nanny. God bless her
I subscribed!
Mary Ellen you are a delight! I just love you and the wonderful Moose! You are truly an inspiration. Stay well 🙏🏻💕🌸
I had cataract surgery when I was 73 years old, and what a difference in my vision, colors were amazing, which I didn’t realize before.
@@crushingtheir80snannyandmoose I understand, and I wish you and your lovely husband the best. 🌸
Thank you, Sandra…I appreciate the input…❤️
Amazingly fantastic and fun video!

Your skin is absolutely gorgeous. ...Nivea is always a must have product. I love Little poet and Rock star mom . Thank you for the great video♡
You are so beautiful! I love your zest for life! When you live stress free and enjoy, you stay young. Thank you for showing me some wonderful tips.
@@sarahdee374 That's exactly the one I saw and use! Also, there are some great ones, for if you fall, when home alone. Cheers.
@@carabiner7999 I think I saw those also, how to look around and find objects to help leverage your self up!

Lots of excellent, useful tips. Thanks! I use a rotating seat cushion in the car that swivels. It makes it so much easier to get out of the car.
WOW....DONNA...You go, Girl.... Sounds as if you’ve figured it out! You’re doing what makes you happy and at the same time you are feeding your mind, body and soul! Staying active! You certainly are! Thanks for subbing and commenting! ❤️NANNY

Thanks for commenting! ❤️NANNY

So many great ideas, thanks.
Absolutely loved your video - bless Patti for introducing you to us! I am a great fan of Nivea too and so was my mum - you cant beat the tried and tested but I too use skin oil as well these days in the never ending battle against the dratted wrinkles! You're looking great for your age!!! I only hope this could happen to me great wishes to you and your husband ❤
Love your perspectives and wonderful sense of humour. Thank you for sharing.
❤️NANNY
The more I watch the more I love all your videos
I LOVE your video....looking forward to watching all your older videos too.
I got that tool for Moosie on QVC! Very handy, I'm glad it helps him. xoxo
