Thegirlwithapinkbag I work at Sephora and its policy to throw away the stuff because it can have bacteria, before I worked their I too thought the same but a women’s shelter deserve new and clean products not used and possibly infected makeup.
Thegirlwithapinkbag at my store I never seen anyone throw away new products sometimes they look new but since it was still in display as a tester we have to dump it. As for the furniture and toys and everything else Thats not cosmetics and that sorts of stuff I agree could for sure be donated
People say “oh it’s nasty it’s in the trash!” REALLY?! No! These products are like new you can literally clean them at home and keep them so many products that are almost new being thrown out. There are a lot of people who may not have a lot of money and be able to use some of this stuff. This woman is cool she absolutely knows what she’s doing. People really need to keep there mouths shut

The B Team stores throw away these products because there either testers, expired, or just not safe to use so the throw them away. And they destroy the products before they throw them away because people go dumpster diving.

As that saying goes, “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure” in this case she is a woman but hey, if they are going to throw something new away might as well keep it for yourself. No shame in that at all.
Usually because they're broken, contaminated, or expired. Sometimes for toys it's trashed because the items are recalled. They've proven dangerous and have to be destroyed. Sometimes company's want the stores selling it to send these items back to the company for reimbursement other times the company's say you can just trash it. I've worked at a couple different places where we've had to destroy clothes, toys and make up that was contaminated with pesticides in shipping to the store. Some of the items could have benn wiped off and most likely been fine to use. You can't risk that. When donating or selling the items. If someone wants to risk it by jumping in our dumpster thats their choice.
In case of perfectly good items they do that because if they gave it away to homeless people, women shelters etc.. it would cheapen the brand as a whole. Just imagine if gucci or channel started giving away their old collections to people and now we have homeless people walking around in last season gucci clothes and having luxury makeup etc.. Just imagine being in high school, your parents work their asses off but cant afford better clothing than wallmart few times a year and this kid comes in dressed full gucci and starts flexing at you and bullying you because his mum at womens shelter just got new delivery of new, nice clothes...I had something similar happen to me and its not nice. People are assholes and in some cases they would flex. Also, the money and effort that went into producing and marketing those items would be lost in a matter of months and all those people that buy them because they are luxury brand would not buy them again because now they are everywhere. The brand name and exclusivity is all these brands have, its the only reason most people buy their products and all would be lost. They cant afford to to that so they just burn the clothes or simply throw them away so exclusivity can be sustained. I dont agree with this practice because when I buy luxury items its only because they are in some way, shape or form better than the cheaper option but I understand why brands do this from sales perspective. If I could change it I would do it so that the brands would borrow decent, nice clothing to people that need them for a job, job hunting or special ocassions and if they get the job I would let them keep a few pieces of nice clothing to have something nice to wear at job so they can keep it and put their money towards a place to stay, food etc.

Hello. I heard you say that alcohol would get out permanent marker. I bought a yellow and white pillow at Ross for $0.49. It had chocolate stain on it just a little bit. Do you know how I can get chocolate out of fabric? I've been desperately searching. It's a gorgeous pillow. Help if you can. Thanks.
Yes , I do. You can spray a mix of peroxide and water on the chocolate and then add a little Dawn liquid dish soup and hand wash just the areas that have the chocolate and then throw in your wash after you've ringed it out gently making sure you do not put straight peroxide on any dark or bright colored material of any kind . This should work well If it is a stubborn stain spray several times using a soft old tooth brush on the area before washing.
My husband drives a garbage truck for a living. People throw out insane things that are totally perfectly fine. We've gotten TVs, multiple Nintendo switches that were simply missing the cords, appliances, brand new shoes, clothes with tags on it. You name it. It's truly crazy the amount of unused, unbroken, often brand new consumer items end up in the landfill.
Any make-up store throws away products after a month in store because of cleaning policies so altas and Sephora's are the way to go if you wanna do this type of thing haha. There's no shame in it, I honestly find it quite cool
Don’t take this the wrong way, I find your ideas quite interesting but remember, they throw the trash because the products might have been expired, damaged and etc.
Marielle Munoz they put an expiry date on this type of products not because after the determined date they go off . Make up or moisturisers can be used a year later and it will be alright . Every year on the January I buy lots of cosmetic and toiletries at Boot’s . I never learn and I’m using stuff bought years ago . It’s perfectly alright , smells the same , texture is the same , same color .... no difference with the new ones . This dumpster diving thing is up to the user as long it us disclaimed to the person who is going to use it . What worries me if stuff like this is put to sell on eBay ...
Dulcinea Del Toboso expiry dates are for how much time the preservatives in the product are keeping the item safe from bacteria. After that date the product can be safe to use, but it’s all up on the user to take the responsibility to use it and to control any sign that the product is not safe anymore.
NeDibles sweet i want her to understand why the products are kept in the dumpster. Of course damaged products are not reliable to use. That’s the WHOLE point of my comment if you’ve read correctly.
ynw catii u stupid theres lots of ppl who have diseases and may have touched them, she should wash those before she touches them with her hand, not the makeup tho

I work for Bath and body works, it’s policy for us to throw things away. It’s either returned and used, old, or a tester. The employees are supposed to smash everything and dump everything out so they aren’t doing their job. I wouldn’t recommend going in the trash, we have a compressor in our mall that crushes the trash. But food, animals, and bugs that have bacteria on them can touch these products and you never know where any of these products have been. Bath and body works has numerous sales throughout the year of items that are fresh, clean, and new.
I work at a perfume shop and it’s so rare that we throw away bottles just because the cap is missing. It’s such a waste of product, and a lot of the time the caps will fit bottles they didn’t come in. If that perfume bottle was thrown away, it was probably for a different reason than the cap just being missing. That being said, a lot of luxury perfumes like Dior & Lancôme throw away bottles even when half the product is still there just because it ‘looks ugly in being half used’.
Suzie Sheep if is that the case public notices online and all across the shops must be put for people to see so they can return them and get their money back .
About 6 months ago, i decided to check dumpsters for the first time and i found 42 bottles of perfume and cologne in the ulta dumpster!!!!!!! Most were completely full. You would do so well with dumpster diving ASMR! Your videos are strangely soothing. Same with your voice ☺️. The dish rack you can buy a drying mat to put underneath
bbq sauce is probably not expired.......does it say sell by or expires on? And honestly even if it says expired it is probably not. "canned" food will last 12 to 18 months after it is made. As long as the bottle is still "factory" sealed it should be fine. The red dishes are called ramekins. you use in the oven to make individual casseroles or baked desserts.
@@verucasalt9182 no, if a mua is certified they are educated about sanitization. for example they have to use disposable aplicators for lip products and mascara.
Dulcinea Del Toboso we use disposable applicators to prevent cross-contamination but eyeshadows and lip products can be cut or scraped as well as sprayed with an antibacterial spray so it’s not too bad :)
There’s a lot of ways to disinfect make up a lot and a lot of people who dive disinfect and re-crush up the pigments and press them with rubbing alcohol there wouldn’t be professional make up artists if they needed a new pallet a new lipstick a new mascara a new anything for every single client

Just a heads up I’ve worked at b&b bb&b and michaels as a seasonal temp for extra holiday cash.. Do Not take ANYTHING liquid from the dumpster. They always ask guys to dump stuff out and have seen coworkers spit and even urinate in some of the liquid items before hauling them to the back. Not saying it goes on in every store but it’s just not worth the risk in my opinion. Please be safe
as someone who works for ulta, for damages/expired products/testers we’re purposely supposed to damage the products even further to make sure they’re unusable for dumpster divers, so that ulta was hella slacking lmao

Ur mom this still is disgusting, you’re digging in a trash bin, doesn’t matter if it’s good stuff or noy

By law, they have to throw away damaged products because people can get infected, and also people can sue the company .
Me after this video: looks like I will be dumpster diving
This is soo interesting omg. Have you ever been caught doing it and was it awkward? What was your coolest find? Do a Q&A plssss
Little kids would love to pretend with the cameras.
Trash Panda nah I’m 11 and I wouldn’t do that but maybe it’s because I’m not a little kid
Noriaki Kakyoin I’m the same age and I would so do that though? Also, we are still little kids-
Maybe for kids under 10?
Trash Panda imagine painting or cutting the base! the cameras would be so cute for decoration. the whole time i was like ‘don’t be shy give them to me, don’t be shy’
I honestly never thought I'd see something like this and I'm pleasantly surprised. this is so cool!
Alcohol, takes off sharpie marker off . Just an FYI
This should work well
If it is a stubborn stain spray several times using a soft old tooth brush on the area before washing.
Sorry hi I just need to know how do you take paint out of cloth, thank you.
Maria Martinez what kind of paint did u use some paint might be not impossible to get off but hard depending on type of paint
Roxi Arnold expo marker too
*Imagine walking down the streets seeing a girl in the dumpster waving to you*
My husband drives a garbage truck for a living.
Where do you live to find such great products in the dumpsters? The dumpsters where I live are trash literally
Any make-up store throws away products after a month in store because of cleaning policies so altas and Sephora's are the way to go if you wanna do this type of thing haha. There's no shame in it, I honestly find it quite cool
Looks like Florida.
The Reverse Oreo some urbain area I suppose
Same
@@patriciat229 nah I'm from florida i lives there for 12 years and they do not allow that
Don’t take this the wrong way, I find your ideas quite interesting but remember, they throw the trash because the products might have been expired, damaged and etc.
Agreed :/
Marielle Munoz how is that the best ? Lol damaged isn’t a problem - expired is destroyed (burned) soooo
NeDibles sweet i want her to understand why the products are kept in the dumpster. Of course damaged products are not reliable to use. That’s the WHOLE point of my comment if you’ve read correctly.
haters really out here writing paragraphs how “it’s unsanitary” lmfao stop wasting your time tho.
it’s freakin nasty

MY MOM WENT DUMPATER DIVING AND FOUND A MAC BOOK
wow lucky, which kind?
Where did she dumpster dive? At an apple store?
Commander Hedgehog I tried that before,it was just sad.
Not to sound weird but you have a good asmr voice.
You could literally steal the cap to a perfume tester and then go and get it when they throw it out
Imagine someone gets to it before you lol
I work at a perfume shop and it’s so rare that we throw away bottles just because the cap is missing. It’s such a waste of product, and a lot of the time the caps will fit bottles they didn’t come in. If that perfume bottle was thrown away, it was probably for a different reason than the cap just being missing.
That being said, a lot of luxury perfumes like Dior & Lancôme throw away bottles even when half the product is still there just because it ‘looks ugly in being half used’.
Kate North that makes complete sense
Theres no point of her covering her face at the end when shes sitting down outside u can see her face in the lamp
U could thoe
Barely.. you can’t make it out.. last time the lamp was closer in the dumpster. Plus we don’t neeeeed to see her face or should care? Right ?
Sis do yoi have supor sonic eyes or something that you can see her features from that far
Hanna heijkoop LMAO
I saw that to was lookin for a coment like this
Couldn’t some of those products been thrown away because they were made wrong and it could get someone sick..?
There testers/samples
if you’re dumpster diving then you can’t really complain, this person is diving at their own risk.
Well mostly stores throw away stuff that is damaged because if something is bad for the body they have to send it back to were it was made -
Suzie Sheep if is that the case public notices online and all across the shops must be put for people to see so they can return them and get their money back .
Really 😑😑😑
About 6 months ago, i decided to check dumpsters for the first time and i found 42 bottles of perfume and cologne in the ulta dumpster!!!!!!! Most were completely full. As long as the bottle is still "factory" sealed it should be fine. The red dishes are called ramekins. you use in the oven to make individual casseroles or baked desserts.

There’s no way to disinfect lip products or just makeup in general. I’d be careful. You never know what someone could have.
Redd X2 true but when people go to professional maje up artists in salons they suffer the same risks .
@@verucasalt9182 no, if a mua is certified they are educated about sanitization. for example they have to use disposable aplicators for lip products and mascara.
nasi goreng we can only hope for that .
Dulcinea Del Toboso we use disposable applicators to prevent cross-contamination but eyeshadows and lip products can be cut or scraped as well as sprayed with an antibacterial spray so it’s not too bad :)
There’s a lot of ways to disinfect make up a lot and a lot of people who dive disinfect and re-crush up the pigments and press them with rubbing alcohol there wouldn’t be professional make up artists if they needed a new pallet a new lipstick a new mascara a new anything for every single client

do you thoroughly wash & sanitise the toys before giving them away or do you instruct the charities to do so before handing out ? ☺️

I wish I could find all this and be so lucky I seriously find this so relaxing and satisfying and I don’t know why.
a nice trick to know for removing sharpie is that if you take a cotton pad/ball and soak it in acetone, then you wipe the sharpie with it, the sharpie just wipes straight off! i hope this is helpful in the future!!
Question: can you get in trouble for doing this? Because honestly I could use some of the stuff they throw away
Probally but it's not illegal
It’s technically not illegal to actually dumpster dive but you can get fined for trespassing
Jessica Brummer ok thank you
You have to ask your police/ sheriff and see what each store policy is
So a few days ago I decided to go dumpster diving in my local Ulta and I found a lot of stuff but all of them were incredibly destroyed. That made me so sad seeing all that going to waste 😣
You go by yourself?? You’re so brave lol
It actually makes me sad that there aren't even enough divers to catch all the stuff thrown away in the world.

Moment of silence for the one AirPod
Why would they throw such good products away? I thought they'd donate them to. Homeless shelters battered women shelters if they throw toys away that she given to kids that don't have that's a waste. Oh my goodness. I can't believe this. Wow.
