I loved seeing this video on Kevin's channel. You are obviously an SEO expert. I have a question...
Could you please tell me why on your own website's homepages you don't have H1 tags, alt tags are iffy (some keyword stuffing...), and you don't utilize schema markup?
I'm not trying to be a smart ass...just really interested to know as they seem like super quick easy wins/very basic. You also mentioned accessibility, which made the lack of an H1 stand out to me.
Also...I understand the 'plumber has leaky pipes' adage. I have plenty of things to clean up on my own sites and about all clients sites I haven't been on in a while as I continue to learn.

Wow! The complete SEO tutorial on the web. He is right about neil patel and income school. And their revenue, 90% comes from selling courses.......
Income school sold their portfolio of sites before 21st of april 2020, before the amazon cut comissions.. And they decided to "start" all over again.
Neil patel is actually not a good source of seo.. He is in the "marketing" area.
But thank you for the advice and the personal experience. Finally someone speaks about the actual reality of seo.

Thanka so much for the positive feedback! Not sure how I could set that a test up to show how speed would impact page rank, but I'll talk to brendan about it, he might have some ideas. I could do videos on speeding things up though!

What impacts the speed of a website? Lots of things! For almost every SEO project I've ever worked on, it's been images improperly formatted or too large (both in file size or dimension), as well as elements loading that don't need to. Clearly, I'm not a developer, but I'd start there. I also like to toss a site into both Google's pagespeed checker and GTmetrix and see what comes out and we start there.

sir thanks for the video...i kind of got the idea and insight of seo but still not fulfilled. I don't know why exactly. I used to be an SEO "expert". It is practically a waste of time now that google wants your money.
who else googled "digital marketing skills"
I enjoyed the video so looked at Brendan’s own websites.
They were not so impressive with a few things which I would consider fundamental SEO errors. If you run 100daysofseo.com through developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/ you will see it gets rather a poor score.
There is also links which lead to 404’s, no h1 title, no site meta description.
Or am I out of date and these things don't matter anymore?
Page speed is important, and he has one image that seems to be the main issue, which he could definitely fix up :). Otherwise, the use of h1 -> h6 has pretty much no impact on SEO anymore based on what Google has said over the last few years. 404s are more of a user experience issue than a SEO issue I think. Meta is hit and miss. I've seen a several looks into how Google uses it, it seems to pick and choose to look at that or actual info on the page, whichever it thinks will benefit the searcher more is the guess behind why that might be.

I'm halfway through the video and there haven't been any SEO tips so I won't watch that self-promoting loudmouth any further. The video is not up to your usual standards of usefulness.
I stopped watching around 6-7 minutes, after he started slagging his competitors.
What can I say, Stephen. I'm a competitive person and when people are out there claiming things that don't work, I'm definitely going to call it out.
He doesn't dump on everyone, and will speak very highly of people who put out quality content (as he does in this interview), but he'll call out people who he doesn't agree with. SEO has a lot of low-quality content out there, I think it's important to call out in those cases. But if you'd prefer a different approach, I get it :)
Christ, this channel's getting like the Johnny Carson Show now. Normalizing double-jobbing teachers, vice-principal appointments for 30 year olds, neurosis, alcoholism and employers who "understand" employee infidelity . . .
He's not very together in this vid. Not very organized in what wants to say and goes on (and on) too much.
