Highway Robbery is probably coded like this rather than as part of the cost so you can't be blown out by a counterspell. But that also means that if you see the selection screen you saw, you can't go back because the spell effectively resolved at that point and you received information that there is no counterspell
Good call, I actually like the templating a lot more, it's only annoying since we're so used to it not working that way.

I have to agree with the user claiming Sphinx is anti-synergy in the deck. Impossible to gain all the sweet UR value when Sphinx has won the game already

I like the reach indicator for the most part, agree it could be scaled down a bit in size.
I wish saddle was instant speed but it is still a MASSIVE upgrade from enlist.
But what would instant speed saddle do? I think all the saddle triggers are on attack
@@a.foobixthere are some creatures that give something when tapped. That one gw rare gives a card when tapped, I’m sure there’s more
@@a.foobix you could saddle something in response to kill spells is the main advantage
@@a.foobix there are also a few like archmage newt, gitrog (both on damage) and stubborn burrowfiend (when it becomes saddled).
@@a.foobix there's a green uncommon that mills upon being saddled instead of just attacking, but i think it's only like that because its stats change based on how many creature cards are in your graveyard

So once a card is on the stack, it counts as being played? Like for those, “if second spell, draw card” effects? Good to remember that.
As soon as you pay the costs it counts as being played. It doesn't have to resolve.
Yeah I think they all/most say "cast" and casting is putting the spell on the stack.
Too bad it’s not Odyssey torment Judgment block, one of my favorite draft formats.
Do you think there are any plot cards that might make a debut in Cube? I could see setting up for big turns being all the more impactful in Cube.
