Nothing has come close to the energy and innovation those 3 guys brought us back then,I feel so privileged to have been there all the way through, happiest days of my life.
Same , I heard Slow Down in an import store ( Adelaide 1977 ) and it made all the stuff I'd been into sound old & tired . So much brilliant music out of the UK over the next few years - thank you England . 🛵
You would have thought being a preforming artist, you aim for the biggest audience to sell your work so with the jam at the top of the tree, you break up the band and lose the biggest fan base in the UK and Europe and form the style council ?? I would bet every single or album Weller wrote after the jam would have been hits and number 1 in both charts under the name of THE JAM
Nearly 40 yrs since they broke up . Still sound new .
Yes bud seen them at brid 2 b it was over sad how its all turned out sugs etc best wishes from Durham
Bruce's bass still sounds epic. It's my reference bass sound.
Oh god my favourite live jam track
Pure fire !

Sound effects the best album. Paul weller is god.
Paul has never achieved the same heights as he did with the Jam.
I know he had some success but really... the Jam were class.
