Oh wow, I never thought to use the VCS, I have one collecting dust, that would be a fun test! I might have to try that out. Let me know how it works out for you. Thanks so much for watching!
Jurassic Park was an Analog Joystick Game Alot of times especially with newest MAME i have also to turn down the Sensitivity on Turret or Analog Joystick Shooters when playing with a lightgun - dunno why
The issue with the smaller "PC" could be a voltage issue. I know some of the recoil gun solenoids require extra power. Could be why when recoil is turned on the gun decides to shit the bed.
Another here who has a sinden gathering dust, last time i tinkered was trying to get ps3 lightgun games working i was 90 percent there but not quiet perfect after weeks of trying i gave up but this seems a good way to get some usage without the time suck so thanks
crosshair aiming is for rapid fire games like operation wolf, t2, revolution x. Its un natural to have a 1 trigger pull = 1 shot aiming with crosshairs
A controller with a gun helps. So 2 controllers for 2 guns. You would need either 2 usb ports for a 1 player or 4 ports for 2 players. But you need a usb controller per sinden gun
This isn't just an issue with Sinden. Setting up any custom config on Windows seems to break with OS and software updates unexpectedly. It's making windows really hard to have a stable setup on. I'd recommend a bootable USB with batocera and updates disabled. So it'll always work!
I ended up downloading a 2tb image batosera that has a few more sinden games. I didn't needed the other none sinden games because i already use coin ops, hyperspin, pi's etc, but it was nice to have more sinden games and the 2nd player is also recognized immediately. plug and play babyyyy

Just to be clear are you replacing your boot drive with this? There’s no windows OS involved here at all. Batocera is Linux based so it’s not using Linux, not windows. I’m kinda confused because you mentioned windows several times. This would replace your boot drive, you won’t be running windows at all.
The problem you were experiencing after toggling recoil seems like a USB power issue. I’ll be trying out the image this weekend on a couple of Minisforum systems. I’ve got Sinden and Gun4IR guns, so I’ll be trying both. This will be great if it works.

I need to try this Batocera image to see what it does that I'm missing in mine (probably a lot). A couple things I figured I'd chime in on: - you can actually burn the image to a portable USB thumb drive and then tell the PC bios to boot from USB. Much easier than opening the PC up, and very little noticeable performance difference in my experience - Jurassic Park doesn't work well on my setup either. I think it has something to do with the emulator (MAME), and not the Sinden or the rest of the build - Any idea what version of MAME the lightgun games are using? - I need to find a 4:3 Batocera theme so this will work in my arcade cabinet monitor
