Etho's keyboard is a Logitech MK520 wireless keyboard. Logitech launched the MK520 with a matching wireless mouse and the manual shows a copyright date of 2010. I have the exact same keyboard. The mouse has long since been broken, but the keyboard is still going strong after 14 years of consistent use. ❤
Tbf, I have a keyboard from the early aught that's in excellent condition and is still quite satisfying to type on. And if you happen to have an old IBM Model M, that thing is worth its weight in diamonds. The cririminal part is the condition of the board, not the age.

My old laptop's E key was busted. You learn to adjust, but it also keeps being a pain in the butt. I think at some point I just got used to having the letter saved so I could just ctrl+v that shit whenever I needed it, to the point it was basically muscle memory.
I wanna say he mentioned at some point, that his keyboard is so enough that it still uses the PS/2 port. There's nothing wrong with that if it's true, it just puts into perspective how old the keyboard is (and ik you can buy modern keyboards that use PS/2, but it's just interesting). I could be wrong though, since I can't recall where I heard that.
I used to use the arrow keys to move instead of WASD, and I used my mouse in my left hand. The spacebar was hard to reach when I did it this way, so I used the mouse wheel to jump (pressing it down, not scrolling it)
I still have my logitech keyboard + mouse that came with my pc 10 years ago. The scroll wheel doesn't click down properly every now and then, but that's easily fixed by opening it and cleaning it. The keyboard still works perfectly, the keys aren't even worn and I use this thing daily.
My keyboard I recently replaced is older than I am, my dad got in around 2000. The only problem is had was that the left arrow key didn't press right, sometimes getting stuck on the way down. Other than that, it worked fine. Only got it replaced because of input delay, as the input delay it has is quite large and inconsistent. Still works fine, no idea how considering how much I have abused it.
I love my keyboard and it's old as me. I'm planning on getting new motherboard and let me tell you - it's getting harder to find one with the right connector 😅
I had that same issue with my old keyboard, i had it for almost 10 years and the WASD, Shift and Space were so eroded that only a touch would be enough to write something. Until it broke and i had to buy a new one lol

Even a membrane keyboard from 20 years ago can survive a massive coffee stain, a bent PS/2 pin, and being in a dumpster for several years. Such is the story of my second-best keyboard, which I found in an unmaintained dumpster, cleaned up, fixed the PS/2 connector on, then I plugged it in and to my surprise, every single key worked perfectly. :D

The closest match I have found online is on ebay listed as an eMachines KB-0108, but mine has a USB adapter instead of the standard PS/2 plug, so I am not entirely sure of the model

Don't know what kind of keyboard he has, but I'd take a 20 years old mechanical keyboard over any brand-new membrane board any day! Age is irrelevant here, as keyboards haven't changed significantly in literal decades! My own mech keyboard is nearly 10 years old and still as great as on day one. The broken space bar is an issue that does warrant a replacement if it isn't fixable though...

I've been using the same keyboard for... 22 years? Given my computer usage over this time period, it really shouldn't be working as well as it does.
