Awesome remake! Great job! Can't wait to play it. My humble whish list: - Make the intro music arranged with better classical orchestra instrument samples (not the GM Synths) - Stop the ship's shaking right after it exits the shaft - Make it more difficult to avoid the alien saucers (like the original) - Do not shake the ship when tower destroyed - Make it more difficult to find the stranded pilots (like the original)
This is cool! I still play Rescue on Fractalus on my Tandy Color Computer 3... All original parts from 1987, including the CRT monitor! This was one of the good games on that computer.
Good job, man! I was following your progress on the remake for years but somehow never caught the v1 release! Pleased for you to have managed to complete it, and thanks for bringing it to everyone!
Love the simplicity in the redesign, there's no inserting more than there was in the game just because you can (as in content not extra bits on the control panel).
It's actually better in version 1.1.0! But still not perfect imho. Oh yes, the original Atari version scared the shit out of me when that Alien appeared the first time! Especially when you have played the leaked Beta "Behind Jaggi Lines" for hours before. An almost complete version, but without these Aliens! 😁
There already is one remake of Korones Rift, made by Georg Rottensteiner. Just google his name together with "Korones Rift remake" and you'll find it. It's quite faithful to the original, too.
This would be perfect on iOS, iPadOS, and tvOS. One small nit: Make the alien that bangs on your cockpit look scarier. Somehow the C64 monster is more scary.
I'm not the author of this game! See link in the description. There also is a version for MacOS and Linux. In the actual version 1.1.0 new "jumpscare" sounds has been added for the Alien, at least a bit similar like on the Atari 8-Bit original.

Awesome work recreating the box art for the cockpit. Back in the day I always thought this existed in the same universe as the Enemy Mine movie.
Loved the game on my 800XL when I was a kid. Nice remake!
Me too! This is how it should have been on the 800XL back then: ruclips.net/video/6_qSmQz6y4M/видео.html 😁
Next go for Koronis Rift!
Yes. Me also. Good and old time also with Atari Drive 1050.
@@TPau65 Then the good olf Sally (6502 CPU) has to run on 500Mhz! ;)
The same here!

Ehm, I'm not the author of this game, I just present it in a video! 😉
And there is V1.1 by now, with several changes, bugfixes etc.
2:18 Wow, that was cool.
It's cool how your radar screen looks like the original game, like all that time we were just playing the radar.
Very faithful remake!
I wish someone remade Star Raiders II / Last Starfighter game... Ahhh... A man can dream...

An amazing remake!!!! I love this and it’s a blast to play!!!
My earliest memories of gaming are watching my dad play this on our Atari 800.
i wonder if Koronis Rift and The Eidolon will get a remake. Thank you this game was an old time favourite of mine. First game that ever scared me
Oh yes, the Alien in this game also was my first jumpscare in videogame history! 😁
Great! It has the look of the Atari XL Version just in muuuuch better!
That’s hype. Looks incredible! LA games were awesome. Ball blazer needs to be rezzed as an e-sport. Best with this. Maybe some pixel art eggs? Cheers!

Oh my, the alien here could use a hefty dose of scare factor. The original gave me trauma as a child.

Yes, remake of Rescue from Fractulas. Had it in CoCo3.
Whoa! Cool!
I played this game so much on my C64. How about making a version of Koronis Rift?
You have to ask the author of this game for that (link in description). But I'm pretty much sure there will be no Koronis Rift Remake from him!

There's something different about the Jaggis? Not sure their name fits anymore. ;-)
Looks great!
Behind anti-aliased lines
Imagine if someone could understand and use the mathematics used in the original to create an advanced 3D engine on modern computers.
