Find someone who looks at you the way Patrick looks at Alaina. There's so humble and sweet people.
I love how she speaks her mind about her music without filtering her opinion. I love gospel music so no wonder this band is my favorite. It's also so cool to have a similar range so I can sing along to everything haha!
Mom and dad makes me cry sometimes, i love you both so much
I freaking love this band
Alaina has such a sweet humble personality. You see it in her performance and in her singing, but just seeing an interview is great, too. Thank you for this.
Humble? I wouldn’t put it that way.
These people are awesome. Love both their music and their general vibe. Much respect.
They 3rd wheeled that interviewer so hard, I love seeing how into each other they are.
Wow that was an uplifting message at the end, love them so much!
Yup, very cool person. And thanks for watching to the end!
What a beautiful talented couple.
In love with Patrick and Alaina
Love Apple!!!!
Bless you, Tennis. Bless you! :)
i ended up seeing Big Thief in Chicago because of this interview... For their Dragon Mountain album...
Both very attractive and open minded people! Alaina is ridiculously stunning. It's not even funny.
My God, I love her hair!
I love them! Awesome. Wish I could meet them.
She mentions Big Thief? I fucking love them.
i love how much they love music
I laughed so hard when she brought up dc Talk, because I was NOT expecting there to be a whole lot of overlap between the Christian music world I used to be well versed in (I'm a few years older than her, but I didn't get on board until Free at Last, and Jesus Freak and Supernatural were pretty much the soundtrack to my college years) and the indie pop/rock world that tends to be more my speed nowadays. I love that she feels no shame in bringing up her musical origins, but can also make a fair critique of the Christian music industry's tendency to rip off mainstream music. I'd say some of it's gotten better in the years since, but you'd never know it from listening to Christian radio... they're all mostly ripping off each other's biggest worship hits nowadays. The Christian artists trying to create something unique that is inspired by their faith, and sing about subjects outside of the strict parameters that the major Christian record labels expect from them, tend to do so more independently.
I think being able to recognize imperfections and/or a lack of originality in the music you used to love, while still seeing some merit in it despite the blind spots, is a good skill for a musician to have. I figure that makes you more likely to understand the difference between paying homage to your influences and flat out ripping them off. Well said, Alaina.
Such a great band!!!
I freaking love Tennis!!!!
Officially obsessed, especially since she referenced Pastor TL Barrett.
Good recommendation for Love Apple. I'm listening right now.
Impressive
I’m glad to hear she was homeschooled, I can relate to that, and her hair don’t have that but it’s cool
They’re love and talent is like Paul and Linda McCartney
whats the song in the background ?
Uhhh... how did I just come from a Big Thief performance of Masterpiece to this and then she mentions Big Thief? Damn creepy algorithms.
Can't play too much tennis.
Ya , and
TENNIS makes a Great Racket.
Patrick is alike Dwight from The walking dead
Song at the end?
Patrick Carney pushed them to make little accidents like sing slightly out of key when he produced Young and Old, glad to see them continuing that mindset in music they seek out
Patrick looks like a mix of Abraham and Dwight from Walking Dead
I think I have a new favorite band ever. Where have they been? "Mean Streets" made me cry today...there is a very spiritual intangible with Tennis that doesn't seem so INtangible. Authentic, romantic, sexy, uplifting, touching, gorgeous, and that perfect perfect perfect amount of melancholy to flow with my unrealized longings. I've never heard such beautiful changes in songs. I NEEDED a band like Tennis to enter my life and I know they will be the soundtrack to alter my trajectory for the better. I also really want their songs in my films. cpunchproductions.com
PLEASE TELL TO PATRICK THAT I LOVE HIM SO MUCH
Alaina Moore looks like a mix of Saoirse Ronan, Evan Rachel Wood, Jena Malone, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Grey, Emma Watson, Kristen Stewart, Sylvie Testud, Anne Heche, Ashley Johnson, Dakota Johnson, Carrie Underwood and Judy Greer
Diego Pisfil also young Celine Dion
Layza Yeah. But really only when she makes that scrunchy "angry face" when she's singing. 😊
BAHAHAHA.. & Don't Forget.
Barbara Stanwyck...
Yo what the hell he knows SE Rogie? I'm so impressed.
Yes Built to Spill not the Korean BTS lol
I like some bands less when i hear them interviewed. This interview made me like Tennis even more.
i never smoked more weed than them
You hit perfection, but it never feels ardenty sought...It sounds 1+1 = million easy. I think that's why you songs are so soothing to your fans. Interesting point, Rock ripped off Gospel and contemporary Christain ripped off grunge and rap...lol...Tennis sores above the fray. Hard to picture Patrick starstruck about another musician. Whomever they are, on his worst day, Patrick pisses on them.
You always find Alaina bashing something during an interview. She never once stops to think that Christianity or religion developed the musical talent that she now owns. It’s too bad she doesn’t stay more neutral because all the ambience and mystery goes out the window with that chip on her shoulder.
