You're right. Freddie was sick here, hence the beard. It get's much worse, but his voice never gave out. And Queen has the BEST Christmas song ever made! "Thank God its Christmas". I don't know why they don't play this on the radio at Christmas time. It's the best song ever!!!!!

You're not wrong. By this time Freddie was demonstrably ill. The song is all about the miracle of life and renewal. Using the kids in the video really brings this home. It also shows that Freddie and Queen were facing the truth of his death in the near future. In hindsight, all of the Knebworth videos have a sadness for me because I know that these were his last live performances. Still, they are so joyous and full of life, it blows me away

I love when they come in and join them and you notice Freddy putting his arm around the little Freddy. I really like this song and the message and these kids are the luckiest kids ever but I never really liked this video very much. Brian once said this was his favorite video to make. I think those kids were having such a good time, I am sure that is part of what makes this one Brian's favorite.
