Last year we did a review on *wood bat puck knobs* that dives a little bit deeper into the purpose/science of a "puck knob": ruclips.net/video/-pO54j6AcXM/видео.html
Curious. Does the entire puck have to be exposed when gripping the bat? Seems that if you grip part of the puck you won't get the effect of the extra weight at the knob?
Not gonna lie I used to watch bat bros to see what bats were good and bad, but honestly the best part about their videos now is just watching will hit dingers!
The public needs to know: Who is shagging all the balls sprayed everywhere (especially on the roof) and is it 100% recovery rate? Thanks and Rock on BBB's 🤘😎
As far as we've seen, they don't shag the bombs. They grab em from the field, and maybe do a once over by the fence, but those balls in the parking lot are GONE. And the trees? Forget about it. Thank God they don't have to spend money on the Bats, because this channel's budget is probably 85% Champro Kevlar Pitching Machine Balls as it is 😁
Love seeing more variation to the bats. Nothing out of the ordinary has been done like the warstic knob or even axe, maybe the mako torque but this is really cool
If I still played baseball, I would be using that Select Power or the Icon simply for sound alone. Both of those bats sound so good IMO. I always liked that "dead" sound for whatever reason.
dear baseball bro, love your video! i think the puck knob is served as the counter weight, which will reduce sting WHEN you are NOT hitting the sweet spot. since you hit perfectly, you dont feel a difference. BUT if one try to hit the ball toward the end of the barrel to increase the total arm length of the bat, it will work i guess. but ppl can just buy a longer bat......
I actually saw this irl a few days ago. I work at Dicks and we got 1 just as a showcase. I said to myself “I wonder if Will is going to do a review on this?”
You know you're OG when you got Humongous Melonheads drip from Backyard Baseball. The original 1997 game still holds up and is one of the greatest baseball games ever!
I think the Catx Connect and the Select Power should be next to each other like Catx at 5 and Select Power at 4, I still think the Select Power is better than the Connect but it’s close. Keep up the good work man
@ErrorsOnly Bro, shut up. He has a good reason for why he said that he would choose the select power. Besides the Catx Connect is better than the goods because of its durability issues and it’s lighter for a 2 piece and it’s forgiving towards the hands, possibly better than the voodoo
Also the Catx Connect is better than the goods because of its durability issues and it’s lighter for a 2 piece and it’s forgiving towards the hands, possibly better than the voodoo
Should do a Vid were you buy that Velo Puck thing Put in on something like the Nuke and see what it does and then something like the Vandal and a select pwr and discuss the differences in EV and Swing weight.🔥
Just saying that the catX is probably the best contact bat out there but wish there was a little bit more juice but the huge barrel and sweet spot makes up for it
You need to put a go-pro behind short stop facing the fence to see the homerun balls, and another one right behind second the see the dead center balls as the same as second base
Just bought my son the -10 Bonesaber Hybrid 30 in - 30 oz. I hope it still has pop beings it is USA stamped. I bought him a -10 USSA Victus Knox last year but I guess it was illegal for the league he was in. He's in Cal Ripken this year and USSA is legal! Hopefully gunna see some big dingerz this year!
HOT TAKE: The select Pwr is the best BBCORE bat when you factor everything into it. Not very hot but can still pack a punch, best sweet spot, not a very heavy swing weight, is the most durable bat, and it’s the same bat made every single year. Its consistently been the same exact bat, with the same exact qualities, with the best sound and it’s only 400 dollars and you can swing it in any weather and not get your hands rung up at all, plus it works for every single type of hitter
The puck knob only really makes sense on wood imo because it actually effects the weight distribution of the single piece of wood while with metal bats is an added piece that otherwise wouldn't be there.
@@KirbysFakePunt and just to clarify - the barrel on a 33" CatX and a 34" CatX Puck Knob are the same length. The extra length is just the knob itself.
Can you guys review the 2011/2012 Worth Toxic BBCOR 1 piece? I hit the longest HR of my life with it in college and I want to know if it was actually a decent bat for a first gen BBCOR.
Hi from Mexico, i like your videos. Since I was young I have used a bat with these dimensions 35/30 and 2 3/4 barrel (I am 45 years old). When could you do a review of those dimensions? Old vs New ??? For reference, my bat its a Louisville Warrior. Before that a Easton Reflex Extended with the same dimensions.
Not the first 35 inch bbcor. Easton made one back in the day called the Easton Hammer and you could get it in a 35. Black bat with red letters. One piece allow and it was fun to swing. You should definitely find one and do a video
I recently switched from the catx connect to the select pwr and honestly idk which one I like better. I am gaming the select because my dad bought it for me and I don’t want to seem ungrateful.😂
You guys should revisit the battle of the Atlas VS Voodoo One VS Cat X One Piece. *Definitely not because those are the three bats im considering right now* But if anyone has any recommendations I would appreciate that. I love lighter swinging bats with max barrel control. I want my money investment to be worth it.
the harder you hit it and the better the baseballs you’re using, the more of a “crack” it makes. I’ll also add that it cracks towards the hands, and it pings towards the end.
I noticed you've changed the load of your hands slightly in this video compared to videos from months ago. Curious if that's had a positive impact on bat speed and/or exit velo's....
what is one good bat for a first time buying a bat because I am on a high school team and have used the cat x and the cat x vanta and I wanted to get my own because the kid is getting ride of it because he is on a travel team and is giving it to his younger brother
I'm guessing these knobs are intended to act as counterbalances, in which case the effect would be more noticeable in a heavier swing-weight bat and if the knob had more mass..
My friend got one of these puck knob bats (its wood tho), and honestly I hated it. Maybe my hand strength is not good enough but it constantly felt like it would slip out of my hands. I prefer the old school.
are you supposed to hold the fat puck part or are you supposed to hold the bat above the puck. it looked like you were holding the actual puck and therefor canceling out the the counterbalancing effect of the puck knob. try holding the bat further up and see what happens?
What bat should I get if I am going into high school this summer. I swing a black meta and I like. It has good sweet spot and good pwr, but I want a bat that has bigger sweet spot and more pwr. What should I buy.
@baseballbatbros LOVE THE CHANNEL! Question: Do you ever get complaints from people about balls hitting cars or anything? Not a ton of balls hit out of the park in this video so that’s not what prompts this question. Lol. It’s all the other videos where you smash dozens on top of and over the Grocery Outlet store building behind left field. Lmao 🤣 Just slightly left of center field right over the pitcher’s head in this video, there’s a side parking lot for the grocery store and it is often filled with cars. I can see some of these balls easily smashing a bunch of them. Lol. And then there’s the intersection of SE 4th and SE Wilson right there directly behind centerfield. I see the net that is above left field/left center. But you often go right over that thing. Lol.

sleeper! One of the best Marucci BBCORs ever.
Shortout to JT for his play this past weekend. Awesome to see him with the big dogs and he held his own

I loove the sound of the Select Pwr. I.m.o, the livery and color scheme is more appealing in the S.P as well.

Kool , worth purple supercell slow pitch bat had the same knob I liked it ALOT
Will, you need to swing the gray and yellow Easton Havoc
Bamboo vs maple would be legendary
i got a cat 7 from your videos and it’s surprisingly good
Swinging the big boy bat. I loved my 35” 32 ounce Easton black magic.
I’ve still got a Cat 6 in my garage.🔥
Select Power sounds like a broken in, composite, slowpitch bat. Absolute shotgun!
You need to put a go-pro behind short stop facing the fence to see the homerun balls, and another one right behind second the see the dead center balls as the same as second base

I’m a slow pitch player and really enjoyed watching those videos as much as I do these.
how fast is the pitching machine set too
That ball is hammered.
Can you test the Easton stealth sc900 cnt-9
The CatX isn’t underrated, it’s just the fact that the higher rated bats are 🤏 much better. It’s splitting hairs for most of the top 5-7 bats
