The fact that the Season Finals has been so hyped up and is the only worlds qualifier and yet most games of the season finals are still played in the LEC studio that has a total audience capacity of 174 people is baffling
not to mention Montpellier venue having only 10000 capacity and being instantly sold out >.>
It's the first year with the new format, so there were probably some reservations. Hopefully they readjust it for the next year.
Same as playoffs normally is my friend. 3 weeks in studio, one week in an arena venue.
while it would be cool to have the entire playoffs in an arena I don't think that would be possible since all of the teams infrastructure is in Berlin and they probably wouldn't want to fly to different locations 4 weekends in a row
(they should definitely add some roadshows for the split finals next year though)

Unpopular opinion, the pod is by far the best when there is no proplayer guest. The charismatic casters/analysts/yamato is the best content there is.
I can kinda agree, but at the same time it's the only platform where we get to really hear from the players and see their personalities. some people don't care for that but I usually find them quite interesting. it's something other regions don't really provide
Agreed. Like the players when it is here and there, but I feel like analysis is lacking when they’re on.
It also helps that Yamato and Caedrel have good chemistry already. This podcast is slapping
I guess It depends on the players and how charismatic they are
i love hearing from the players, yamato is just one of the most charismatic people the industry has to offer while still being hilarious.

Absolutely loved this EUphoria. The desk was not a big departure away from the normal setting, felt just as inviting. I think it actually helped instil some structure to the conversation, especially helpful for Mark (love ya, buddy). Camera work was on point, might have been slightly easier especially when trying to get a wide shot.
The default place does feel more intimate, which is very good for a podcast, but the feeling wasn't too far off.
I'd have no issues with you having EUphoria at the desk occasionally.
Except Drakos is facing the side the whole time? Poor staging.

except for geng, lck is unironically not much to fear
LCK is having it's fair share of "chimpanzee moments" this year. Damwon getting good early leads and throwing vs T1, whatever HLE was doing in their games, and T1 is not making big mistakes now, but you can see that Faker has not recovered just yet, and their team fighting is not as crisp as you would expect. All of them have to improve a lot before worlds.
I love that faker has just been either absolutely throwing on Azir or outplaying 1v9 on Azir with no in between. Don’t want to hype T1 for worlds but they could be good.
Streamer caedrel vs euphoria/lec caedrel is like the biggest gap there is. Like two different persons 😂

I'm surprised after mentioning about ad mids that BDS isn't being isn't higher rated. I feel like that puts NUC onto comfort with his ad assassins like Zed.
I really hope they don't do well though as a FNC fan, as that would mean either facing a strong BDS or Mad/XL if BDS manage to upset G2

I don't really get why they are talking about winter, spring and summer XL as the same team. They have only 2 players from the winter roster. For FNC it's the same thing

With all these predictions for an XL win, I can't wait to see playoffs MAD arrive and steal another Worlds spot, just to disappoint us.

I find that the atmosphere in the studio is much better than in the podcast room. Something to think about
bro what is this narrative with geng being the best lck team by far? did people forget how kt stomped them? They won against t1 but in the very close series that could have gone either way, and suddenly they are the best team? we didn't even see them facing kt in bo5, imo t1 geng and kt are all on the very similar level and any of these teams can beat each other depending how good they play on the day

This LPL playoffs was probably the best playoffs in any region. Every match going to 5, every team picked up pace. What an amazing playoffs, sad only 4 could make it to worlds.
I love the doubt on lck every year before worlds since summer is always a mess and we always lose msi to lpl but worlds is different, obv lpl looks super strong but that was the narrative last year as well and then we had 3 lck and jdg who were the favourites got 3-1, not sayin its gonna be the same but just sayin

Fnatic win in Round 1 would be also quite important for the region as a whole.
Generally I wouldn't read too much into the game XL vs Fnatic because there were completely different things at stake.
Fnatic needed that win on friday, so I would assume they prepared only for that match.
XL needed that win vs. Fnatic in order to compete for the worlds qualifier.
I would imagine that Fnatic didn't care as much after so much pressure during the previous match.
And the same for XL. They didn't really care about the win for summer and kinda were burned out.
I guess the cards aren't as clear as they made it out to be. I would say G2 > XL > FNC. But like 60-40 for each match.

There is a slight possibility where LCK seeds 3-4 get worse results than even LEC 1 & 2. Sure, I think LCK teams are going to ramp up massively, but their series are messy at the moment. And for the first time as far as I can remember, you can see that even the top teams are second guessing macro decisions.
Maybe cuz the 5th lpl team BLG massacred the lck teams at MSI

Imagine G2 loses 2 series and doesnt qualify for worlds... I mean what would that say about this format... Such cool changes from last year with more bo3 and bo5s but why does the winner of the Summersplit not at least get the fourth spot of worlds?
Honestly makes it that much more hype. They are not playing to only get better seeding. I can't imagine how stressed i will be if they get to a five game series now.
If they lose 2 series then they don't deserve to go, the teams with the best current performance should go

Why do you talk about LCK and LPL for 15 minutes? Shouldnt this be the LEC podcast? I would have liked to see some in depth breakdowns of the lec finals matchups instead.
Who's playing in the finals?
We were able to romance characters back in the spirit blossom event, so League once had a dating game. Even was pretty good.

GG are a good team. they choked their last game but usually they are pretty stable and their msi showing was not bad at all. probably the only team along with c9 that eu should SOMEWHAT fear. on a good day, they likely stomp most of eu
Because GG should smack most of the EU teams, especially the ones likely to end 4th as long as Gori/River get back to their reg season form. If gori keeps running it down then EU 4 seed odds are much better
